"Ahhh!" I heard the man scream.

I snickered quietly and smiled. Now the plan's in action, Elena's dad will stay in the bathroom because he'll be too scared to come out. I'm a friggen genius.

"You're such an adorable little guy!"

I gawked and bent down. I saw his meaty hands scoop up the creature and pet it.

"My daughter just loves animals like you! She likes snakes, mice, spiders... disgusting creatures," he sighed. "But my new girlfriend would despise you." He set the rat back down and flushed the toilet. "You deserve to be free anyways little fella. Good luck on your journey."

I heard the sink run and my mouth still hung in pure shock. I then heard paper rip and I still sat on the toilet, mouth wide open.

Suddenly Elena's voice entered my head. You better close that mouth of yours, it's not attractive at all.

I scowled and closed my mouth while I heard her father walk out of the bathroom. I went out shortly after. I walked up to Elena, staring at her but I dared not to say a word.

She crossed her arms and smirked. "So how'd ya plan go?" I looked away ignoring her I-told-you-so pose.

"I know what you were attempting Devin. You were trying to make my dad stay in the bathroom. But I was going to tell you that my dad's too nice, until you started singing over me."

I then looked at her with a calm face, but I'm two seconds away from bursting.

"It could be fūcking Isis and my dad would still try to shake hands with them," she rolled her eyes.

I couldn't help but crack a smile. "Your dad is a pretty sunny person," I spoke up. "At some points I wish I could be like him," I whispered and looked to the ferris wheel.

Ferris wheel. "Holy shīt!" I yanked my head back to Elena. "They're heading there now! Let's go!" I grabbed her hand.

Elena's POV

Devin grabbed my hand and his touch relaxed me, but his actions scared me. His face plastered with pure horror, he ran and pulled me behind him.

Why is he so afraid? Living with me won't be THAT bad.

His warm hand was twice the size of mines. His grasp around my palm and fingers was comforting. It was like, his hand was securing my hand. Protecting it.

But I'm sure Devin wouldn't even think about protecting himself.

Next thing you know, we're at the ferris wheel. I just happened to notice my dad and Crystal go into a cart and sit down next to each other. My dad smiled and laughed at whatever she said, and they lifted into the air.

"Two more!" I heard the operator call. I didn't even have to run, Devin practically yanked me to the man.

I hurriedly ripped off the tickets and shoved it into his arms. We went into a cart immediately and we lifted into the air.

My heart rate then immediately relaxed. As we rose into the warm air, my mood changed and I felt Devin's too. My thigh touched his, and our shoulders touched as well. Devin looked down to our legs.

He smiled as I looked to him. "I like those shorts," he admitted. "Your legs and a$$ look wonderful in them."

"Thanks you perv," I cocked an eyebrow. "But I already knew that when you smacked my toosh."

He laughed and looked to my cleavage. "I couldn't resist." I started to feel uncomfortable as he stared at my boobs. "And those palloncinis in that pink crop look wonderful."

I punched him. "Stop checking me out! I'm going to be your stepsister soon, for the millionth time. And did you just say my boobs look wonderful?!"

"Balloons. Your balloons look wonderful," he sucked through his teeth and rubbed his arm. "I've never witnessed a girl with such strength."

I ignored his sexist comment as I growled and crossed my arms. "Same thing, you creep!"

"You know I'm a sexy creep," he touched my face. Memorized by his touch, I felt electric shock throughout my body.

He's teasing you, he enjoys making you fidgety Elena. He wants you to stop resisting and fuck his brains out, like he wants to do to you. He wants you to make out with him. But he's gonna be your brother!! But he's so hot... But he's gonna be your BROTHER!

I pushed his hand off of my face slowly, gazing into his blue eyes. His cocky smile dropped with his hand. As his hand fell onto his lap, I looked away to the black ocean behind me.

"What's wrong?" He asked me in worry and he tucked my hair behind my ear.

I slapped his hand away. "Stop touching me!"

"Shh!" He quickly put his finger over my mouth. "They can't know we're here! He might change his mind and not propose around us."

I smacked his finger off of my mouth. "I'm about to say fūck it."

"No," he looked into my eyes with plead. "Please don't. We can keep trying together."

I threw my arms up, whispering harshly, "Devin he's going to propose any second now! I just know he is! There's nothing more we can-"

A girl screamed and my heart stopped beating. It came from above us and I saw the cart rocking.

"No!" Devin and I gasped.

"Yes!"
