Beautiful.

It was a word I would never have thought would be used to describe me. I always thought that I was fat and weird and thought that was how everyone saw me. Never would I or anyone used the big, 'B' word to describe me, Adrien Wynter.

But last night, Mikey Lopez, the boy I met at Starbucks, the boy that looked as if he stepped fresh out of a movie, the boy that I had a massive crush on, said I was beautiful. Not only did he say I was beautiful, he listed like a dozen more wonderful things to describe me, completely shattering my insecurities.

Oh gosh, I can still hear that beautiful sentence in my head, I can still see his lips moving to form the words.

Adrien Wynter, will you be my girlfriend?

I could just die. Literally. Jasmine needed to pinch me right now because this must be a dream. But even if this was a dream, I would sleep forever.

As the moments of last night replayed in my head, I sank further into the comfy couch and smiled. Moving my hand from out of the blanket that I was wrapped up in, I touched my lips. My eyes fluttered shut as I remembered Mikey's soft lips against mine. I could just die of happiness right now.

The sound of my phone ringing blasted through the room, dragging me from my thoughts.

My eyes flew open to see that 'The Faults In Our Stars' was still playing on the T.V. I had forgotten all about that. Stretchingmy hand, I grabbed the small device to see who was calling.

"Oh my God" I squealed, accepting the video call with shaky hands.

"ADRIEN!!!" Three different voices chorused through the phone screen, causing my grin to widen, and my eyes to close slightly as I winced.

"Shut up you guys! Still loud as ever I see" I laughed, rubbing my ears.

"We miss you so much" my youngest brother squealed, a loud sound that had me almost tearing up.

"Shut up Leroy" Madison yelled, pushing a bit before placing her face right in front the camera.

"Adrien how's it been? So much has been going on here you have no idea. How has school been? How are you?" She blasted me with question upon question. I had no time to reply.

But tears gathered in my eyes. I had missed them so much it hurt.

"ADRIENN" Madison's immediate junior, Daniel, yelled, pushing Madison out of the way and grinning.

"Oh my God you and Leroy are so grown up! It's been so long I bet you'll be taller than me now" I gushed to my brothers, seeing their over excited grins.

"Uh huh. I'm even taller than Madison now. She's been butt hurt about it ever since mom mentioned it"

"Shut up" Madison giggled, finally sitting beside Daniel and smiling into the camera.

I kept shut for a bit, letting them go on and on about everything that had been going on, our parents, and their lives in general.

Then they asked of Jasmine and I had to wake her up so they could talk.

"Boys, could you excuse Madison and I? We gotta talk about something"

"Ooh is it boy stuff?" Leroy giggled, wiggling his 7 year old eyebrows.

"Get out Leroy. Or I'm gonna crack your skull"

The speed at which my little brother flew up, was hilarious. I wonder the kind of bad things Madison had been doing to him.

"So what's up?" She asked, her chubby face filling up the camera, as if getting closer would stop anyone trying to eavesdrop from doing so.

I admired my little sister for a lot if things. Her maturity was one of them. When we used to walk together, people used to ask if we were twins, or if she was older. It annoyed me for a while, but then I started finding it funny.

"I have a boyfriend" I whispered loud enough for her to hear.

"Oh really? What story is he a character is he from?"

"No Maddie. I mean a real boyfriend".

"Did you hire someone to date you?" She joked, not believing I could get someone to date me.

"Fuck you Maddie. Seriously"

"Okay I'm sorry" she laughed at her own joke, finding it funnier than I did.

She let me drone on about Mikey, aww-ing at some parts, and gagging at others.

My sister and I talked for over two hours. Until my phone beeped because it's battery was low.

"Okay I gotta run Maddie. I'll text you later. I'm assuming since you've got a phone, you also have facebook?"

"Maddie Wynter"

"Alrighty. Bye. Tell the boys I love them"

"Hey! What about me?" she pouted

"Ew no. You're disgusting "

"Jesus that's harsh".

"jk" I laughed. "I love you too. Now bye my phone is about to go off"

Leaving my phone on charge, I resumed my movie, only pausing it again when I had to go for a bathroom break, and for more chips.

Jasmine was gonna kill me.

"Godmother what are we doing today? I'm bored" Jasmine whined, plopping her head on my lap.

"Go shag Damien" I replied, not really looking away from my movie. Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 wasn't something to look away from, and Peter has the most perfect ass. Or Chris Pratt as we know him.

When I didn't get a sound of protest or a light hit, I looked down at her.

"You've shagged him? I thought we promised to share everything with each other. How do I not know this" I yelled, a bit overdramatic, but wasn't that me all the time.

"We haven't shagged per se. It's just two fingers"

Her voice reduced significantly at the last part, causing a snicker to escape from me.

"it's not funny" she groaned, pressing her warm, blushing face into my thighs.

"I'm gonna laugh at you because you didn't tell me when it happened"

"am I really supposed to say everything? "

"Duh?"

"Ughhhhhhh"

My attention was soon diverted, as Jasmine narrated the tale of her and Damien's escapades. It was so much fun seeing her squirm and feel uncomfortable.

"Oh my God. Jasmine you're so grown up ahhhhhhhhhh!" I squeaked loudly at the end.

Covering her ears, she laughed alonh with me. "I realize that"

"no seriously Jas, if you don't get married to Damien, then you should be a nun"

"But I'm Muslim"

"That was a hypothetical statement. Not to be taken seriously Jasmine"

"I knew that"

"No you didn't"

"True"

Staring at the end credits for the movie, I felt so bored, it was insane.

"Let's get out today Jas"

"Good idea. But where?"

"I don't know. We could just wander around and eat when we get hungry"

"I'm hungry right now" she replied thoughtfully

"that's it. Go shower, we're going out" I replied, pushing her off my legs before she let laziness take over and refused to go out anymore.

"We're gonna get Starbucks first right?"

"Whatever you want Jasmine"

"Yaay" she cheered, kissing my cheek and running off to the bathroom.

As if waiting on jasmine to disappear first, my phone rang.

"Hey boyfriend " I greeted with a shy grin.

"Hi girlfriend " he replied in the same tone. I could even hear the smile in his voice.

"How are ya?" I asked, getting up from the couch and walking around. A habit I had whenever I talked on the phone.

"I'm okay. Great actually. Got the best new year's present ever"

"Ooh what? A new camera?"

"Nope. Try again"

"I'm blank. Tell me" I giggled, twisting a braid round my finger.

"I got a girlfriend!"

"oh really? I wonder who she is" I played, smiling so widely that if Jas showed up, she'd be creeped out.

"She's just the most amazing, beautiful and definitely the weirdest person ever"

"Aw you cheesecake" I blushed, burying my face in the sleeve of my shirt.

"Cheesecake?"

"Yeah. Cause you're cheesy and sweet"

"Oh. Well that's definitely a good way of combining both words.

Are you doing anything today?"

"Yeah. Jasmine and I are going out. We're gonna eat till we burst, and roam the streets like wild animals"

"YOU'RE THE WILD ANIMAL!" I heard Jasmine yell, causing me to laugh really loudly. Mikey heard it too.

"Say hi to Jasmine for me" he laughed, a bit too hard but what do I know.

"I will, later. Are you doing anything today?"

"Basically hanging out with family. Aunt Polly keeps asking about my 'adorable girlfriend'. At least I'm glad it's real now"

"Me too. You know, I thought I'd have to had to ask you"

"Ask me what?".

"To be my boyfriend. You know, since I asked you on our first date"

"Ughhhh" He groaned, causing me to cackle really loudly.
"I'll never hear the end of that, will I?"

"As long as we're together? Nah you won't"

He groaned long and loud, causing me to laugh super hard.

We talked for a lot more minutes, until I had to go because Jasmine was ready.

"Okay boyfriend, I'll talk to you later. Bye"

"No wait! Are you free tomorrow?"

"Probably. Why? "

"I was wondering if we could go out. Just me and you"

"Aw aren't you sweet. Ill try to make time and text you tonight. Now bye Jasmine is gonna be mad"

"Okay bye" he chuckled, leaving me smiling as I hung up the call.

"I'm gonna change my mind if you're not ready in 10 minutes godmother, seriously"

"I'm sorry" I giggled, rushing into the bathroom to take my own shower.

"Whatever" she sighed, a smile etched to her face.

"I love you too"

This was so perfect! My boyfriend was the sweetest being, and my best friend was happy with me.

What better way to spend the New Year.
