Sparklez POV

I slowly open my eyes. The room is dim. The only source of light seems to come from my left. I look over and a fire is burning in a fireplace. I try to sit up but fail and fall back onto the pillow I was sleeping on. I realize I can't feel my leg

"Oh Sparklez! You're awake!" I turn towards who spoke. It's Martha. She was sitting on the floor looking through a purple book. I open my mouth to speak but no words come out. My throat feels very dry. She sees my struggle to talk and stands up and walks outside. She comes back after a bit with a water bottle. She sits me up and helps me drink. I ache all around.

"Sparklez, what do you remember?" She looks very worried as she puts the bottle down.

"Well, I remember we were fighting Mianite's guards, and then I was helping Syn and then..." I trailed off. I couldn't remember much after that. "And then I was lying on the ground. Syn was gone and I felt someone touch my arm. But I wasn't able to see who. Do you know who it was?" Martha looks away. What's up with her? Did something happen?

"You seem to have forgotten the worst." She says still looking away. "When you were fighting the guard, you were flung to the ground. While you were lying there, the guard sliced off your left leg. Syndy wasn't there because he had came to find me. When I got there, you were alone. I didn't see anyone near by. You probably thought that someone was there because of all the blood loss." She looked back over at me. It seems like she knows more but I suddenly feel tired again.

"You should rest some more. You lost a lot of blood." I needed to ask her more but I fell asleep before I could ask her more.

Martha's POV

Sparklez had fallen back asleep and I went back to the book I was reading. It was about my mother and her family. I would have to return it to the library in Urulu soon. Not long after I had started reading, Foxx came in and went to bed. Wag was outside by himself now. I thought that I might as well go and talk to him. I set my book down and walked outside. Wag was lying down next to the fire.

"Hey Wag, I think it's about time that you went to sleep." He didn't answer. I walked over to him. He was asleep. I laughed silently and sat down across from him. I watched him through the fire. His chest rising and falling with every breath. He was always so cute when he was asleep. I looked up at the stars. I had always loved the night sky. The night reminded me of how my mother lived in the End and that it was always dark there. I want to see her again. I just wish that she was here. I felt tears starting to roll down my cheeks.

"Martha?" Wag had woken up. Oh no! He can't see me like this!

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" He was getting up now. There was no avoiding this encounter. "I-It's nothing. I'm just thinking about my mother." He knows how much I love my mother, so he won't pressure me too much on the subject.

"Don't worry Martha, we'll find your mother soon." He had sat down next to me and put his arm around shoulder. He looked at me and smiled.

"We'll find her." He leaned close and gently kissed me on my forehead. "I promise"  

Hey guys! I know it's been a while and I'm sorry! I've had a bit of writer's block and I think I've gotten over it. I will most likely be writing a lot today and will hopefully just be able to post the chapters every other day or every 2 days. Sorry if they seem short :/ I'll post another chapter soon! Bye!! :3
