Sparklez Pov

We had left Martha's house a few hours ago and had been traveling for miles. Our wings were getting tired and the sun was setting.

"It's getting dark. We should probably find a place to camp." Martha says.

"Should we stay in a cave?"

"I don't think that we're in that much danger. Let's just stay above ground in a tent or something." Martha says.

I pull out my sleeping bag and lay it on the ground." Sparklez, we could just build a house. Chop down some trees and get some wood." Martha said. I nod and take out my axe. I chop down about 15 trees and I make them into planks. I build a small house with Sonja and Martha. Tom and Wag set up a fire with Wag's spells. Once we finish the house we sit down around the fire and eat. I finish before everyone and I decide to separate myself from them by walking to the cliff edge near the camp.

I sat down on the cliff with my feet hanging over the edge. I think back to when Ianite and I first met. We were in the End and we were talking about each other. Ianite had fallen asleep on my lap and I took her into her house and laid her on her bed. It felt like that was decades ago. I never thought Ianite would be kidnapped.

"And it's all my fault she's gone."

 I felt water starting to run down my face. I realized that I had started to cry. I wiped them away and stood up. "We'll find you Ianite. I promise." I then turned away from the cliff and started to walk back to the camp. As I drew near I heard screams and metal clanging together. I took out the Price of Betrayal and I ran back to the camp.

When I got to the camp it was being overrun my Mianite guards. Martha was hiding in a tree shooting arrows. Wag, Tom, and Sonja were fighting with whatever weapons they had. I joined in and took out a few. They were strong, large, and persistent. They were nearly four times my height. "Guys! Back away! I'm gonna use a spell!" Wag shouted. We all flew up and stood back. The spell came down and the guards that died were the ones that we had slashed at our swords for a few minutes.

Dammit! They're too strong! I pulled out my bow and fired a few down. After four shots on one guard it finally died. "It takes four arrows to kill them with my fBow of Balance! They're too strong!" I shouted over to Martha.

"Argh! Holy hell they hit hard!" Tom screamed. He had fallen back into a tree and was being cornered by three of them. 

"Can I have a little help!?"

I rushed over to him and got two of the guards attention. They turned and lashed out at me. I ducked down and slid under the tallest ones legs. I stood up and turned my back to Tom. I jumped up onto the tallest's back. His helmet was becoming loose and I pried it off with my cutlass. I threw it down to Tom and he chucked it at one of the two guards heading towards him.

The guard I was on brought up his hand and grabbed my by my torso. I was flung upside down and the guard held me in front of his face. "Where's Ianite!?" I yelled in his face.

He held me there for a moment thinking. When he spoke, his words were hard to make out and his breath stank. "Stop searching for Ianite. You will never find her. The Shadows has her now." When he finished he dropped me. I hit the ground hard and on my back, knocking the wind out of me. I breathed in trying to return the air that I had lost.

I looked up in time to see the guard's sword coming down. I quickly scrambled up but not before the sword hit my leg. "Raghh!"

I dropped down into the dirt. Blood was pouring out quickly. My vision was starting to turn black at the edges. I flipped over onto my back and gulped in air. The air in my lungs slowly came back.

I sat up expecting to see the guard standing over me, but to my surprise, he was gone. In fact, all of them had left. I tried to sit up but my strength was failing and my vision was getting darker.

"Tom. Help..." I said. He ran over and knelt down next to me.

"Jordan! Don't worry! Martha get over here and help!" I heard him yell. Tom took off his jacket and wrapped it around my thigh. He then got up and ran to get Martha, but I still felt a hand on my arm. I looked over to see who it was but before I could everything went black.
