☀Today is July 3rd - two days until my birthday!

So we had to get packing and ready for our flight.

Our flight was at 6am. It was 4am now and I was getting ready for the trip.

I packed my favorite cat PJs along with 5 other set of PJs (we were spending a week there), 7 sets of clothes, 6 socks, 3 pairs of shoes along with 2 flip flops, bathroom stuff and well all the necessary things I need on the trip.

There! Everything was ready now. This is going to be the best birthday ever! I remember my 13th birthday. It was amazing! There was a big party at night with lots of people. I didn't know any of them since I didn't have any relatives and my friends were too busy with their holiday (though they begged their parents if they could come but they already booked their flight so no turning back) but I made lots of friends since there were a few girls there. We had a special seafood dinner with seasoned lobster and shrimp. Yum! And I learned how to do that funny Hawaiian dance with the arm movement thing! My 13th party was amazing and my 14th was going to be better, I just knew it!

My daydream was disrupted as my mom walked in wearing black skinny jeans with a blue crop top and high heels. I was wearing black jeans with a grey hoodie and canvas shoes - comfy clothes for the plane ride 👍

"Come on we're leaving", she said in a chirpy tone as the butler walked in to take my bags to the car. "Bye Tony" I said as I gave him a big hug. He'd been with us since I was a little baby and looked for after me all through my life. He's been like a brother to me. I can never forget the time when I was five and we made mud cakes with worms as a topping! "See you next week!"

"Bye! Have a great holiday and Happy Birthday to you!" he said with a smile.

I felt a sudden wave of sadness of missing him. He was the only one who was like a sibling to me and it felt like this would be the last time I would see him.

I got into the car and we got taken to the airport.

And so we waited and waited - usual airport stuff. And then we had to wait for our gate to open. (What is it with airports and waiting? Sorry, I'm an impatient person!)

Finally the gate opened and we boarded our flight.

We got into our plane and took our seats and the same old stuff of what to do in case of an emergency thing and then we took off.

I looked out of the window at the city below me and smiled "This is going to be the best birthday, better than all the rest. You just wait." I whispered to myself.

Then I felt my head nodding and I fell asleep.
