We hugged each other and maybe even cried a little then we went to enjoy the vacation I almost missed out on. All that suffering, was totally worth it. I shall tell you the sad but happy long tale of my 'vacation' and how everything worked out at the end. Let me start from the beginning...

Hi.

I'm Georgia Lodge.

I'm a fourteen year old girl and I was born in Hawaii🌴 on the 5th of July.

I live with my parents in the US and every year, we travel to Hawaii (where I was born) to celebrate my birthday. Its sort of like a family tradition and I love it. I love my parents as well though I look nothing like them. My mom has long, blonde curls with brown eyes and my dad has short spiky hair with green eyes whereas I have thick, black wavy hair with blue eyes.

They both tell me that they dyed their hair because a kidnapper was after them and they didn't want to put my life at risk so they dyed their hair and changed their appearance so the kidnapper wouldn't notice them.

They tell me this story all the time and then of course, I believe them I mean their my parents after all and parents to me are the most honest people I know.

I'm an only child and with that comes a lot of perks

🌴I don't have to share anything with anyone. Its just me, myself and I always!

And that's pretty much it for me. I have my own bedroom, my own electronics and my own... well, everything! I just have my mom and dad and that's it.

I always ask my parents if I have any relatives but they say the same old story - "We are the only kids in our family so you have no cousins. Our parents are dead so you have no Grandpa or Grandma. Its just You and us. Would you like anything sugar?"

They say it in the exact same face with the exact same smile everytime, almost like they rehearsed it or something. So we're all on our ownio now like my mom would say.

Though I'm not entirely on my own.

I go to school of course and I have three BFF's - Mandy, Chelsea and Raven.

Mandy is the sporty one ⚽ She's good at every single sport in school and she's the only girl and the best in the football team at school. She's very sporty.

Chelsea is the artistic one 🎨 She's incredibly good at art - painting, drawing, crafting you name it - and she's won countless art prizes at school and even featured one of her paintings in an art exhibition which was bought for $500! Ka-ching 💰

And Raven is the smart one ✏ She comes top in every exam and gets all A's on her report card every time. Raven is not a nerd, she's very social and an excellent friend. In fact, she's the laziest out of us three combined!

So I'm not entirely alone, I have three amazing BFF's and tons of good friends.

I live a good life and I would never change it, no matter what happens.
