EIGHT YEARS LATER

"Ma, wake up it's christmas!" SJ yells as he jumps onto his parents bed in excitement.

Larissa lifts her head off of Chris's bare chest and smiled as SJ jumped on their bed. Larissa checked the time and realized it was eight in the morning. She thought SJ would wake up earlier but she was wrong.

"Go ahead and go downstairs. We'll be down in a minute." Larissa spoke as SJ ran downstairs and started ripping the wrapping paper off of his presents.

Larissa kissed Chris's cheek as he opened his eyes. He smiled and kissed her forehead and then went down to kiss Larissa's bulging belly that carried the new editions to the family, twins, a boy, and a girl.

After doing her daily hygiene they all met downstairs making a Christmas breakfast and listening to SJ talk about his gifts. Larissa tuned him out as she stared at both SJ and Chris as she rubbed her belly.

She sighed. Larissa had come a long way. She looked down at her engagment ring and smiled. She remembered a long time ago she knew her husband was cheating, she met someone new, and now she had moved on.

She was happy.
