Chapter Five: Larissa

"I should go. I need to pick up SJ and go get my stuff from Sean's house." Larissa speaks as she breaks off the kiss her and Chris shared.

He sighs before letting her go. Larissa knows she needs to grieve for her lost marriage first before jumping into a new relationship. But she couldn't help how she was feeling. Chris was showing her the attention she yearned from her husband since the day her and Chris met.

Packing up her stuff, Chris watched as she began to leave his house. He slightly grabbed her arm making her turn around.

"Can you call me when you leave his house safe?" Chris asked wanting to make sure she was okay.

Larissa smiled, "You already know I will." She kissed his cheek before walking to the uber she called.

Walking upon her old house she swallowed the lump in her throat. SJ sat in her car playing video games on his tablet. She knocked at the door and waited for someone to open it. Sean appeared at the door smirking.

"I just came to get my stuff and then I'll go." She spoke as he stepped aside.

The woman he cheated with stood in Larissa's silk robe. She rolled her eyes as she made her way to her walk in closet. She noticed half of the closet was replaced and her clothes were in boxes. Checking to make sure everything was her's she hauled them all to her car.

SJ was confused as to why his mother was packing up her stuff but didn't question it. He continued to play his math games until his mother came back.

"I'll have my lawyer send over the papers once you get a place." Sean spoke before she walked away.

"Okay. I don't want any of your money. I got my own. We each can have SJ one week at a time. I don't mind giving up a day out of my week if you wanna spend time with him. That's still your son regardless of what we got going on." Larissa told him as she became teary eyed.

Walking back to the car she started the car and drove away wiping the tears that fell from her eyes. SJ turned his tablet off once he noticed his mother pulled the car over and began to cry even more.

"Mommy, we're going to be okay. I don't know what happened with you and daddy but I'm here." SJ told her as he climbed into the passenger seat.

Larissa didn't like crying in front of her son because to her it showed that something was wrong. And she needed to be strong. However, she also wanted to show her son that it was okay to cry and show emotions when needed.

Larissa nodded her head and kissed SJ's head. He smiled and got back into the back seat. They drove to the hotel where they would be staying for the week until Larissa brought a studio apartment.

While SJ jumped on the beds Larissa took the time to call Chris. He answered on the first ring. She sighed before speaking.

"I'm finally done. SJ and I are staying at a hotel."

"So he really staying with that bitch?" Katora asked as they made their usual saturday runs.

"A white woman at that." Shanell said as they stopped to walk around the park.

"Fuck him. I got a new boo anyway." Larissa spoke smirking as she thought about Chris.

"Ohhh, that young nigga I hooked you up with at the club." Katora smirked.

"Ayye! Rissa!" A voice shouted out from afar.

The three sisters turned around to see who was shouting. Chris sat on the grass with his friends as they studied and did a take-home test from one of their professors. Shanell gasps seeing how young Chris was, well he wasn't that young.

"Come on, so I can introduce ya'll." Larissa pulled her sister's to where Chris and his friends were.

"Hey!" Larissa says catching butterflies in her stomach.

"Yeah, he's definitely a keeper." Shanell spoke making Larissa elbow her.

"These are my sisters, Katora and Shanell. This is Chris." Larissa avoided eye contact with Chris as he kept his eyes on her.
