Kavya's P.O.V.

"And don't forget about the pooja! And also, Dimpy and Ruhi are coming, okay? Offer them food and be a good host." Mom literally roared from the other line.
"Ok, ok mom!"

Arjun looked at me in confusion.
He gave me weird looks as if I was conversing with a dinosaur.

"It was mom, and we have guests. And also! I totally forgot about the pooja!" I explained.
He made an "o" face like a stupid child.

"So what has to be done for the pooja?" He asked and dialed some random number on his gigantic iPhone 6s+.
"No Arjun, it's my turn now. I mean, you've been doing seriously all the work for everything, I'm such a bad partner! But now, I'll help you, promise!" I said all in one go.
"Ok ok relax! But tell me if you need any help, which I know you will." He kind of muttered to himself.
Jerk!

"Anyway, two queen bee's are coming! So yeah, you are going to take care of them, good luck! My sympathies are with you!" I shouted out loud.
"Queen bee's? Who?" God, he's so stupid!

"Dimpy and Ruhi yaar! Concentrate!" I screamed on top of my lungs.
"I don't know any fucking Dimpy or Ruhi! Introduction please!" He made the "duh" face.

"They're both Pammi aunty's daughters and- Ding Dong" Oh god! They're here!

"If they ask for me tell them, I'm busy okay? Bye!" And with that I ran away before Dimpy comes in asks me those stupid questions. She is really annoying! Ugh! Cousins!

Arjun's P.O.V.
She sprang off and left me with two unknown girls! This will be awkward!

I approached the door and saw a girl of Kavya's age maybe, wearing a pencil dress and stilettos. She carried some sort of expensive bag that had a huge logo of YSL. How dumb Arjun! It's the brand! Stupid brain!
She had medium length, straight hair and her face looked like a canvas, where she painted it with makeup. Her lips were blood red, smokey eyes and contour as if she was Kim Kardashian.

Now that I'm done describing her physical appearance, aka checking her out, I look to her left and see the most adorable thing on earth.

A little girl, so innocently playing with her Barbie doll. She was wearing a pink dress and had a Peppa Pig backpack with her.

Not that I'm already checking out kids, I thought that maybe it would be less awkward if I let them in and introduce myself.

"Hi! I'm Arjun." I formally forwarded my hand for a handshake.

Suddenly, this girl who is taller than me because of her heels, jumps on me and kisses my cheek.

There must be a stain there! YUCK! I just hate lipsticks!

My eyes popped out of their sockets, and everything was spinning. What should I do now?

So, I quickly jumped back as if we just played a game of gold spot.

She sheepishly smiled at me and gave me "the look".

Wait what?! Is she seducing me? FUCK NO.

That's it, I get it! This is why Kavya was warning about her.
But what's her name again?

Finally for the sake of my cheek, she moves away and starts texting.

I have no idea what to do so I run away to the nearest comfort room, trying my best to sneak out.
I successfully wiped the red mess on my cheek and cleaned my face 2 times, in case there was a spot I missed.

I walked out and bumped into the little girl who I met a while ago.

I bent down to reach her height and tried to talk to her. She was very shy and didn't want to look at me. She smiled at the ground and played with her doll.

"Hi! What's your name?" I asked politely, not wanting to scare her off.

"Ruhi." She whispered.
"Hey Ruhi! Will you play with me?" I lent my hand to her and she handed her doll to me.

"Yes, of course! Will you be my boyfriend?" She asked innocently.

AAJ KAL KE BACCHE

Oh my god! She is so small and she's asking me such a BIG thing. Guts bro!

"Umm, yeah maybe." I scratched the back of my neck. Hey! Don't judge, this is the first time in my life I was proposed.

"Yay!" She squealed.
"BF bhaiyaa, Meg and I want ice cream!" She demanded.

Who's Meg?

Shit! Meg! From LA?! No no, she can't be here.

Oh yeah and FYI, Meg is my ex! And yes, she's American, now shoooooo!

"Who Meg?" I panicked.
"She is Meg! Meg say hi toh BF bhaiyaa!" She said pointing to her doll. Phew!

I looked at the doll closely and her blonde hair and "videsi" features reminded me of that bitch Meg. Shit! ARJUN NOT NOW. It's not the time to be thinking about your ex. Focus!

"BF!!! Ice cream!" She shouted sweetly.
"Ohh yeah, sure princess."

"Hey! All good?" We both said in unison.

"Yeah the decorators are coming in an hour and I've ordered the flowers, Ramu kaka is getting the pooja stuff." She went through her imaginary checklist.
"Nothing's good here!!" I whined.
"Why? Dimly huh?" She chuckled.
"What's so funny?!"

"Talking about me?" The clicking sound of her high heels and her seductive 'ugly' voice, made me want to run away forever and ever.
I muttered a string of curses under my breath and hid behind Kavya like a little kid behind his mum.
Kavya held her laughter in and ignored the situation. She gave a cold shoulder and walked away.

Oh fuck!
"Umm, Ruhi!!!" I called out to my "girlfriend".
"Yes BF bhaiyaa!" She came running towards me. Cutie!
"Come on, let's go and play!" She held my hand and pulled me.

Win win! Lifesaver she is!

"Bang!" I heard something big break.

"Kavya!! Ruhi!! Are you okay??" I called out.
I heard Ruhi crying from the room I left her in. Shit!

"Ruhiiiii?" I ran inside.
She stood there crying and a broken vase next to her.
"Shit, are you okay? Did you get hurt?" I pulled her away from all the glass pieces lying on the floor.
"I'm sorry BF, it was an accident, promise! Please don't tell mumma and papa." She said sweetly and embraced me. She is the most adorable thing I've seen on earth!
"It's ok Ruhi, I promise I won't tell anyone. Now stop crying."

"Oh my god! You fucking stupid bitch, how dare you? Dumbass slut." Dimpy came in and started cursing.
"Hey! Mind your language! She's just a little kid!" I retorted.
"Excuse me?! Whoever you are, please stay out of it! She is my sister and I can do anything, okay?" She pulled Ruhi harshly away from me and gave her a tight slap. That poor little girl winced in pain and cried miserably.

"Dimpy! What are you doing? She's just a little child and this was all an accident, stop hitting her!" I shouted.
"No she isn't a little child! She's a devil! She's a useless orphan! Why did mom even adopt her? We'd rather have a dog in exchange of her." She spanked that innocent soul again.

I couldn't take it anymore. I've had enough. I carried Ruhi and pushed Dimpy away.

"What is going on in my house??" Kavya screamed.
This wasn't the right time. I brought Ruhi outside to the garden and made her sit on the swing.

"Arjun?! Arjun? Are you okay? Why are you crying?" Kavya came running.
I broke down in her arms and cried my heart out.
"Hey! Hey! Relax, calm the fuck down." She whispered.

Kavya's P.O.V.
"The bitter truth is that I'm a useless soul and I have nobody. Nobody loves me in this world and nobody cares! I'm a fucking orphan, and I only belong in the orphanage." His eyes turned red and his face, pale.

"Arjun what crap are you saying?" I ran my hands through his hair.
"I'm adopted Kavya, I'm adopted. I'm the adopted son of Raj and Sunita Malhotra." He pulled away.

I was shocked. Completely speechless. I didn't know how to react. What should I do.

"I know, now even you will leave me. But it's fine, I'm used to this loneliness, I'm used to having no one. Because no one has loved me, loves me or will ever love me." These words hurt me straight on my heart.

"Arjun, don't say that! I love you Arjun! I really do!" I hugged him really tight.
"No Kavya, I don't need anyone's sympathy! Please, leave me alone like everyone did."

"Arjun! Enough! Shut up! I'm never gonna leave you, because I love you damn it!" I cried out.
"Really?" He asked and looked into my eyes.
His eyes were so innocent, but they really lacked love. He needed me, he really did.
I wrapped my arms around him firmly.
