CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

Third Person

"The call was pretty much unexpected. Why do we have to go a bar all of a sudden?" Hongjoong whined, taking his first step inside the clubhouse.

"Stop nagging. I want to get wasted." Seonghwa retorted, making his way to the counter.

His two best friends, plus Mingi's boyfriend, followed him and took a seat. An hour ago, the eldest called Hongjoong, Mingi, and Yunho for barhopping. Mingi is surely excited about it, Yunho is neutral while Hongjoong thinks it's not a great idea.

Hongjoong grew suspicious to why Seonghwa didn't invite their other friend, San since he is always willing to go when it comes to parties and drinking. The blue-haired might have thought that they have some beef, but it can't be about what happened last week at the cafeteria. They were okay a while ago. That is what Hongjoong thought.

Mingi didn't really notice Seonghwa's new behavior and asked the bartender for a drink. Yunho, on the other hand, was concerned for Seonghwa, but it seemed like the raven-haired wasn't in the mood to chat at all.

Seonghwa requested a strong drink to the bartender.

"Is there a problem, Seonghwa? You're not usually like this." Hongjoong asked, and the question made the two lovebirds drilled their gazes on Seonghwa's.

The question also caught Seonghwa off guard, so he faced Hongjoong blankly. "No. I just want to drink. That's it."

The shortest male didn't believe a single thing, "Seonghwa, I know you. You're acting strange and you want to drink. This is so unplanned and sudden. There must be something bothering you."

Yunho agreed, "Hongjoong is right, Hwa. You know drinking won't solve your problem. You can tell us anything. We are here for you." He tried to advice.

The bartender served them their drinks and immediately left as soon as served.

Seonghwa took a gulp of the drink and replied, "Thanks, but a drink is what I really need right now."

Hongjoong exhaled in defeat, shaking his head upon his friend's stubbornness.

"By the way, why didn't you invite San?" Mingi added.

Seonghwa internally rolled his eyes at the mentioned person. The pink-haired is the reason why Seonghwa wanted to get wasted. He is very irritated at the thought of his husband and his best friend hanging out together.

And for obvious reasons, Seonghwa doesn't want to admit that.

"Apparently he's too busy with someone." The raven-haired's brows arched as he took a sip of his drink.

"Ouu, it might be his crush. Was it Yeosang?" Mingi insensitively teased, knowing it will annoy the elder. "Can't believe he's really taking that blondie seriously. That is so not like him. I hope they get together one day."

Seonghwa smashed his hand on the table which made the three of them flinch. Hongjoong's eyes widen and held the former's arm, trying to calm him down. But Seonghwa's fury took over him and eyed Mingi with irritation evident on his face.

"Yo Hwa, I was just kidding." Mingi said, regretting upon teasing his friend.

"You should've known before you said that." Seonghwa was obviously pissed, taking a whole glass of vodka down to his throat.

The eldest then left the counter, leaving the three of them dumbfounded.

Yunho glared at his boyfriend, "Really Mingi? You had to say that in front of him?"

"Babe, I didn't know he would get pissed because of it." The youngest raised both of his hands up like he was surrendering himself. Mingi pouted and leaned on to Yunho's shoulder. "I was just teasing."

Hongjoong shook his head, appalled. "I'll go talk to him." The blue-haired hopped off his chair and decided to follow his annoyed friend.

Once he found Seonghwa outside the bar with a new glass of wine, Hongjoong stood beside him and watch how he slowly drink the substance. Hongjoong found it odd upon Seonghwa's new behavior but he was more perplexed to why his friend got pissed when the topic is about San and Yeosang.

"What's the problem now? You know you can trust me." The blue-haired crossed his arms with an uneven lips plastered on his face.

Seonghwa rolled his eyes and took another sip.

Hongjoong inhaled sharply, "You're acting like a jealous boyfriend of Yeosang."

"No shit, Sherlock."

"Tsk. You can't take jokes seriously, huh?" The shortest male scoffed then a second later he widen his eyes when realizing, "W-Wait what?"

Seonghwa faced his friend while looking so unbothered even though he admitted, "You almost guessed it right, but what matters is I need to stop San from courting Yeosang. I need to--"

"Wait--hold up! Let me get this straight." Hongjoong interrupted, "What did you mean I almost guessed it right? Is Kang Yeosang your boyfriend?"

Seonghwa licked his lips after sipping his red wine, and then showed his hand with a silver ring on his finger.

Hongjoong switched his gaze from the ring then back to Seonghwa's face. He gasped when he realized that...

"I'm married to Yeosang."

Hongjoong had his mouth wide open, but was unable to speak.

"I know. It's shocking."

"B-But you're not gay...? Am I wrong now?"

"Dude, I don't know! Our families had us arranged instead because of business." Seonghwa partly lied and partly told the truth. He didn't want to tell Hongjoong about the curse because he knew it would freak Hongjoong out and it might view him crazy.

"Okay, you said 'business' right? Then why are you acting like an actual husband?"

"Because I am an actual husband...?"

"No. An actual actual husband. Like what actual married couples do. They love each other, protect each other, possessive of each other and genuinely care for each other. Arranged marriages don't do that. Well some of them do. But still! You still haven't moved on from Lia and her death. You can't just possibly like Yeosang when Lia's death is still recent?" Hongjoong ranted.

"I like Yeosang as a brother, okay?"

The blue-haired snorted, "Oh yeah? Well then I'm gay."

"Wait. You are?"

"Of course not you asshat. I have a fucking girlfriend." Hongjoong wanted to slap his friend for being so dense at this point. "I'm trying to say is you like Yeosang more than just a 'brother'. How can you not realize your own feelings?"

"No I don't like him that way, okay? It's just that...I'm protective over Yeosang because... you know how San is when around flings." Seonghwa tried to reason.

"I think San genuinely likes Yeosang. And if you're against that, then you are the problem, Seonghwa." Hongjoong bluntly replied.

"How am I the problem here? I'm the husband for goodness sake." The elder jeered back.

"Yes, by papers only. So know your place."

"You're wrong, Joong. You don't know anything at all."

"I'm sorry if I offended you. I'm trying to see both sides here. You're the husband, I get it. But the two of you are just arranged. That means you and Yeosang don't love each other at all. So you have no right to be possessive over him."

"That doesn't validate your point. I'm still the legal husband and he is married to me. Yeosang is mine. Not San's but mine."

Hongjoong smirked to himself for succeeding on testing the waters on Seonghwa.

"Holy shit. You weren't like this to Lia at all!"

"Don't bring her up." Seonghwa mumbled coldly.

"Okay, okay. Sorry there." Hongjoong grabbed Seonghwa's goblet and finished the wine left. "I got a little thirsty from talking." He giggled and gave the glass back to Seonghwa.

The latter rolled his eyes again.

"Well, Hwa," The blue-haired started, "If you want to make Yeosang yours, then you have to deal with San first...and it looks like he's already winning."

Seonghwa scoffed, "Don't remind me."

"Why don't you tell him that you and Yeosang are married?"

"It's complicated, okay?"

Hongjoong hummed, "I can see why."

There was a vibration coming from Hongjoong's phone.

"Gotta go, Hwa. My girl is calling."

"Yeah...sure, and please don't tell anyone that you know about this."

"Noted."

After that, Hongjoong left Seonghwa alone. Now, the latter wanted to drink more on more since his thoughts grew wilder every minute.

The raven-haired returned to the counter and spotted Yunho and Mingi shamelessly flirting with each other. Seonghwa could honestly gag on how PDA they were. Thoughts were, again, starting to fill up his mind and it's about San and Yeosang. He hated it.

When Seonghwa said he wanted to get wasted tonight, he mean it.

"Fuck." Seonghwa cussed before requesting another strong drink to the bartender.

Yeosang stretched his limbs after he finished typing his research assignment. He checked the clock that read 2:17 a.m. and until now Seonghwa isn't home.

The blonde started to get worried so he checked his phone if there were any notifications from Seonghwa. There's none. He presumed the elder was busy partying again.

Of course. He should get used to that.

It's always Seonghwa's habit to party. He just hoped that his husband is safe though.

Just right on cue, the doorbell rang. Yeosang sighed in relief, knowing it will be Seonghwa behind the door. So the blonde went to the door and opened it, revealing not only Seonghwa in a drunk state but also Yunho, who was having a hard time carrying him.

"Yeosang? What are you doing here in Seonghwa's house?"

Yeosang's mind went blank. He wasn't prepared to see or even hear Yunho bombarding him with questions. His eyes trailed to Seonghwa's frail figure and immediately helped Yunho on carrying his husband.

They struggled a little but managed to put the eldest in bed.

"I'll handle him here. Thank you, Yunho."

"You're welcome but you didn't answer my question."

Yeosang scratched his nape, thinking of an answer. So he lied with, "Well...um. I'm actually sleeping over since my parents are on a business trip...and they trust me with Seonghwa so yeah...here I am. Haha." He awkwardly explained then laughed after to hide his nervousness.

Yunho squinted his eyes, skeptical upon the blonde's answer. "Okay...? Well, I have to go now. I need to take Mingi home too. See you tomorrow." He bid his seatmate a goodbye.

"Oh yeah, Yunho..."

The mentioned male turned his back again to face Yeosang, "Yeah?"

"Please don't tell anyone about me staying here. You know how rumors spread here and there, and I don't want to be a part of them." The blonde said while fidgeting his fingers together, hopefully Yunho will keep his word to himself.

The tallest smiled, "Don't worry. I am fully aware of that. I got your back."

"Thank you, Yunho." Yeosang returned a smile back.

"Anytime. I have to go now. See you tomorrow." Yunho finally waved and left the house.

Yeosang deflated, exhaustingly rested his shoulders and let out a deep sigh.

He walked over to Seonghwa and forced him to sit up.

"God-- you stink." He muttered after smelling the strong scent of alcohol emanating from the elder.

Looks like Yeosang didn't have any choice to remove Seonghwa's grey top.

The blonde gulped when seeing his husband's toned abs and how small his waist was. Yeosang instinctively closed his eyes, feeling so shy for some reason. The heat on his cheeks were not helping at all.

Seonghwa whined lowly as he subconsciously leaned on to Yeosang's body, also snaking both of his hands around the blonde's waist while murmuring some gibberish words. Yeosang felt his heart pace faster than before and he ain't going to lie that it felt so good under Seonghwa's touch.

As much as it feels good, Yeosang knew he had to focus on the raven-haired's state first, so he unwrapped the latter's arms off him.

"Hwa, please lie down." He mumbled softly but Seonghwa deliberately shook his head.

Yeosang rolled his eyes, so he carefully pushed the elder's body to lie down on the bed.

Seonghwa whined, "Belt...bloating...uncomfortable."

The blonde's eyes travelled to his other's belt. His red tint cheeks worsened at the thought of undoing Seonghwa's belt.

"Calm down, Sangie...we are both dudes. Gosh, why do I feel like those cliche highschool girls in fanfictions? Ugh, I must be going mad." He rambled to himself before unbuckling the elder's belt off its pants.

Should I remove the pants too?  Yeosang asked to himself. He definitely wanted to see how big he was-- wait he meant, he wanted Seonghwa to feel comfortable when sleeping.

"What am I thinking?" Yeosang mentally smacked himself.

He sighed again and was about unbutton Seonghwa's black pants but the latter grabbed his hand and swiftly switched their positions...with Seonghwa on top and Yeosang under him.

Seonghwa deeply stared at Yeosang's black orbs which felt hypnotizing for him. The blonde was certainly taken aback, then panicked when Seonghwa's eyes dropped down to the younger's pretty lips.

"I meant what I said back then. You really have pretty lips."

Yeosang internally rolled his eyes. Then what? Buy lip tint for yourself?

"So...fucking kissable." He slurred, "I never noticed how pretty you are, Kang Yeosang."

The blonde froze. Familiar butterflies waved over him and he bet his cheeks are in the verge of burning.

Yeosang blinked a couple of times before cutting the tension, "Seonghwa, you're drunk. You don't know what you are saying."

"I hate it. I hate that San is winning against me." The black-haired whispered against the other's lips and just a few inches left...

Is he going to kiss me?

"Kang Yeosang...I think I..."

Yeosang anticipated on his next words.

"I--I think..."

"What?"

"I think... I'm drunk."

Seonghwa finally said before passing out.

Yeosang sighed again, struggling to get Seonghwa off his small body. He laid him on the bed properly, placing the pillow under Seonghwa's head so he will feel comfortable.

Yeosang kissed his husband's forehead, receiving a light snore after.
