CHAPTER ONE

Kang Yeosang

"San is so fucking cute! I can't—like—oh my God! Did you see the way he looked at me?! I could feel my heart pounding so hard—"

Wooyoung bombarded me with his rants as I just nodded at every single thing he said. I wasn't listening, honestly. My head was directly facing on Seonghwa's table where Seonghwa was sitting beside Lia, my sister. Seonghwa's friends are in that table too. I could see Hongjoong, Jongho, Mingi, and San all laughing together.

Seonghwa's hand encircled on Lia's waist and he leaned on to her shoulder, making Lia giggle at the action he made. I frowned at the scene. Oh how I could wish I could be in her place.

"Hello? Earth to Yeosang?" Wooyoung waved his hand in front of my face but I ignored him.

I heard him sigh and looked at where I was looking at. He slightly pulled out faked cough. "Here we go again with your daily obsession with Seonghwa." Wooyoung rolled his eyes.

I glared at him. "Not funny, Woo."

"What? I mean it's true." Wooyoung grabbed my face for me to look at him. "You see Sangie, staring at them wouldn't make a change. Why don't you try to talking to him, better to court him instead!"

I flicked his forehead and he hissed at the pain. "I thought you were smart Wooyoung?" I retorted.

"Isn't it a smart idea?"

"That's a shitty idea. Seonghwa has a girlfriend. What's worst is he's even dating my sister. How fucked up is that?"

Wooyoung pretended to think hard.

"Move on then."

"13 years, Woo. I loved him for 13 years and you expect me to move on from him?" I scoffed at his reply.

"Tsk. Love is blind after all."

My brows furrowed. "What do you mean?"

"You're constantly hurting yourself by just looking at them. Your world doesn't revolve around Seonghwa. You need to realize that—there are other boys out there, seven billion people and you chose to cry over one guy who doesn't even love you back."

I felt a pang on my chest as he said those words. As much as I hate admitting it, Wooyoung is right. But he needs to understand that moving on isn't an easy solution to my problem. I see Seonghwa everyday, hanging out with Lia, having every guts to listen to their daily conversation and witnessing their cuddles and kisses. Their bond is so strong, I wouldn't have any chance to be with him. Heck, he doesn't even notice my presence.

"Why are you so mean?"

"It's the truth, honey." Wooyoung sips on his coffee.

The bell rang and I let out a deep sigh. I checked my schedule—Tuesday Maths as first subject which means it is the only class I share with Seonghwa.

-

Maths, my least favorite subject.

I would rather sleep if it wasn't for my reputation as an honor student. This is definitely the vibe killer. Wooyoung is in another class and he is the only friend I have. Lia, on the other hand, is in a lower level, so basically I have no one to converse with.

"Hey Yeosang, have you finished your homework?" A tall, raven haired guy sat beside me with a puppy grin look on his face.

Jeong Yunho. Wooyoung's other best friend and also a classmate of mine. I wouldn't consider him my friend because my social ass can't even activate. Acquaintances would be a better term to describe us two.

Though I would want to be his friend. He's a nice guy with a passion of dancing which is why he is the president of the dance club, following Wooyoung as vice president. No wonder why they get along. Not only that but also a warm and kind hearted person. He's very bubbly and optimistic. But I feel like he's picky when it comes to people.

I diverted my gaze to him and sheepishly smiled. I nodded, replying to his question.

"Nice. I was unlucky yesterday—I lost my worksheet plus I don't even know how to solve the problem." Yunho gave a subtle shrug, opening his notebook.

I glanced at the book, a page revealing all the right answers. I cocked an eyebrow and shot another look.

"H-How...? Your answers are different from mine."

He chuckled, "I asked help from Seonghwa. He explains every problem really well which makes it easier for me to calculate." He gave a small smile. "If you're having a hard time, ask Seonghwa. I'm pretty sure he would help you...especially you're his girlfriend's brother, right?"

Girlfriend's brother...

I guess that is all I can be to Seonghwa. As much as I wanted or rather needed help from him, I just can't seem to approach him. Something is holding me back. Probably the fact that he's dating my sister.

I just smiled at Yunho, "It's fine. I'll just ask Ms. Kim again." I gave an excuse, hopefully he won't challenge me back.

But I was wrong.

"The way the Ms. Kim discusses it is pretty much hard to understand."

I shook my head. "It's okay. I don't want to be a bother to Seonghwa anyway."

"Oh? Trust me, you wouldn't be a bother to him." Yunho turns his body to face the other side of the classroom. "Hey Seonghwa!" He waved his hand for the latter to notice.

My eyes widen at what he did. What the hell is he doing? Oh God, I just want to dig a hole and hide myself there. Why did Yunho have to do that?

"N-No...Yunho, I'm okay. You don't have to—"

I didn't have the chance to continue my sentence when Yunho stood up and pulled my wrist, making me stand and walked towards where Seonghwa was seated.

"What's up? You need help with Maths?" Seonghwa adjusted himself in his seat, looking up to me and Yunho.

"Not me but him." The raven haired pointed at me and I swear I want to punch Yunho in the face.

Seonghwa sneered and stood up to face me. I gulped, his presence sends chills down to my spine and I could feel my whole body sweating. Why does he have this effect on me?

"What a surprise." He clicks his tongue, eyeing me. "An honor student wants my help in Maths?"

I'm embarrassed.

Yunho rolled his eyes. "C'mon Seonghwa, he's your girlfriend's brother. You'll help him right?"

Seonghwa glanced at Yunho and scoffed. "Yeah I know he's my girlfriend's brother. I'm not retarded." Seonghwa says then faced me once again, "After school, meet me at the gate."

I cocked an eyebrow at what he said. "What? Aren't you going out with Lia today?" I asked him out of surprise.

"She's busy with Yeji. That means I'm free. Just meet me after school. I'll text you later—class is starting." Seonghwa began to sit as the teacher entered the classroom.

I immediately went back to my place. I couldn't think straight, all I could think was him. I wasn't listening to the teacher's discussion, it wasn't the first time—well it was all the time. Seonghwa is definitely a major distraction. That's why I am sort of in the verge of failing Maths.

Nonetheless, I was excited but nervous on how it will go. Seonghwa actually spoke to me for the first time and I am not even exaggerating. All we do is just wave, say our hi's and hello's, and would sometimes smile at each other. That's it.

But I still smiled at the thought. Thanks to Yunho, my relationship with Seonghwa will finally have a development.

"Kang Yeosang, please answer question two."
