CHAPTER FOURTY-FIVE
Third Person
It's June 14, 2018.
11 hours left.
Yeosang took a deep breath. He and Seonghwa finally arrived at the campus premises. To Yeosang, he felt apprehensive but reticent to know why. He's feeling anxious for unknown reasons but since Seonghwa will always be by his side, he lessened his worries.
The blonde got discharged from the hospital yesterday after having a two hour argument that Yeosang is fully okay. If Yeosang was to be honest, he's not completely recovered, but he knew he had to go to school to find the book so he will be able to break the spell quickly.
"Are you okay?" Seonghwa frets, noticing Yeosang's twitching fingers. "If you are still not comfortable going out, I can take you home, baby."
Yeosang shook his head, "I'm okay. Not to worry."
Deep down in his heart, Seonghwa can tell the agitation that Yeosang was emitting. He encircled his arm around the younger's waist before entering the building.
All eyes of the students were on them; mostly with worried looks. Knowing that the speculation about Hana was true, everyone sympathizes not only Yeosang but also Lia. Although the gazes made Yeosang uncomfortable, he never liked being the center of attention.
In the corner of Seonghwa's eye, the raven-haired deliberately hovered Yeosang's jacket hood to cover the younger's head to avoid the new series of drilling gazes. "Don't mind them."
Yeosang inhaled sharply, but found it so comforting for Seonghwa to treat him this way.
As they walked towards to the classrooms, arriving at Yeosang's first class if specific, Seonghwa placed a soft and tender kiss on the blonde's forehead -- causing the students to squeal lightly on how cute the scene was.
"Call me and let me know if something happens, okay?"
Yeosang could only smile in return before entering his first subject class, Literature.
Like the students in hallways, his classmates darted their gazes on the male. Before Yeosang could even comprehend, Wooyoung immediately engulfed his best friend into a hug to which Yeosang instinctively wrapped his arms around the other.
"Sangie! I missed you. Are you okay?"
The blonde hummed in reply, "Yeah, thank you for your concern."
"Of course I'd be! You don't know how worried we were." Wooyoung rebuked, pulling him to sit down beside him.
"Damn, you seem more concerned over me fainting than the truck accident." Yeosang tried to joke but Wooyoung was dead serious, and it sort of scared the elder a little bit.
"Either way, you need to be protected. I don't want to see you hurt again. You seem to end up in devastating situations, it's worrying goodness."
"I really appreciate that, Woo. Thank you for being by my side. I love you." The genuineness in Yeosang's voice flattered Wooyoung's heart.
"Shut up. Don't make me cry at the wrong time." Wooyoung couldn't help but smile, averting his gaze away from his friend, "But I love you too."
Yeosang giggled at his best friend's response and adjusted his seat. He placed his notebooks on the table, planning to review for the upcoming quizzes.
"Sangie...I wanted to tell you something," Wooyoung was fidgeting his fingers together. "It's about San."
The blonde quickly looked up from his notes, "What about him?"
"We are together now."
Yeosang had his eyes widen and abruptly pulled Wooyoung into a hug, "I'm so happy for you. After four years, ain't it?"
Wooyoung's smile faltered, "Yeah...four years. I've waited for four years to be with him. I don't want to lose him, Sangie."
"You won't if you two are faithful to each other."
Wooyoung swallowed the sore lump in his throat.
You don't understand.
"Yeah, I guess."
Yeosang sighed, "Sometimes, you have to enjoy the present time. Believe in yourself if you want to think of the future. At least you love him and he loves you back...right?"
We do, but we lack time.
"He proved that he does love me."
"Really? In what way?"
"Um, making love?"
"Making love? I see." Yeosang nodded, but blinked twice when he realized what Wooyoung had just said, "Wait- making love?! You guys had sex already? You're not a virgin anymore? Holy shit!"
Wooyoung rolled his eyes, "Stop overreacting like I've never done dirty shit in my life."
"I don't mean it like that. I'd never expect that you'd go that far when your relationship with San is still recent."
"None of us cared. If we love each other, we live life to the fullest. You're just jealous 'cause Seonghwa hasn't fucked you yet."
"Hey! Don't counterattack me like that." Yeosang pouted.
Wooyoung sneered, "I'm just teasing. But really, even in situations like this-- it has to be at the wrong timing."
"What are you trying to imply?"
"You know? Falling in love." Wooyoung shrugged, "Don't you realize that we fall in love in the wrong place, wrong time, but somehow with the right person?"
To Yeosang, it was very skeptical of Wooyoung to ask such question, but at the same time, he could relate it. Wooyoung has always been free spirited and nothing really bothers him. But during the events happening, Wooyoung started to be more sentimental. It was odd.
"I felt that too." Yeosang could only answer.
"Right? I was straightforward with my relationship with San because I knew I love him. We didn't want to waste any time. Like they say-- time is gold after all."
Yeosang was about to interrupt but the professor suddenly entered the room, clearing his throat to obtain the attention of the students.
"One thing I could tell you, Sangie. If you are sure with loving that person, you must let them know that you love them. Make sure to cherish them and every moment with them. Who knows...the next day that person could be gone forever."
Wooyoung finally stated before giving his full attention to the professor. Yeosang was in awe on how wise his best friend can be. Although, it was very pessimistic of him to think of it that way.
Why is he acting like San is going to die the next day?
Speaking of...
He almost forgot about the book that he needs to find in the library.
"I'll do it during dismissal."
----
After finishing all of his classes for today, he checked his phone that read the time as 4:56pm.
8 hours left.
Now that he is finally dismissed, he can spend his time finding the book without time pressure. He walked to where the library was located. Suddenly, a text message popped in his notification tab.
toothless <3 :

yeosang:

toothless <3 :

yeosang:

Yeosang placed his phone inside his backpocket, entering his way to the library.
He greeted the librarian with a small smile before checking the shelves. He tried to remember where did he placed it last time. About ten minutes had passed and until now he hasn't found it.
"Where did I put that?"
The blonde asked himself, strolling the library shelves that made his legs tired.
Another five minutes had passed, wasting his time trying to find that book. He looked for it through every shelf to the point he is almost this close to giving up.
"Looking for this?"
Yeosang mood lightened up when he felt San's presence. the pink-haired was smiling while holding the familiar book on his hand.
"Sannie! You found it!" The blonde exclaimed with giddy, taking the book in his own hands.
"I was actually reading it during last class and was about to return it to you. Sorry."
"It doesn't matter. Thank you."
"Hoping for the best, Sangie." San felt his heartbeat fastened, distraught and pressured with the time that is running left for Yeosang.
San left the place immediately. He bit his lip...ready for the consequences that is going to happen, but deeply hope that Yeosang will make it.
Yeosang turned to the last page of the book which has the values, rules and consequences.
He read, "For they should accomplish these values for the spell to be broken..."
The Rose with 20 Petals that should before the soulmate's birthday
Each Petal has a value:
First Petal means Loyalty.

Third Petal means Courage
Fourth Petal means Commitment

Tenth Petal means Closure
Eleventh Petal means Empathy
Twelfth Petal means Openness
Thirteenth Petal means Connectedness

Fifteenth Petal means Hope
Sixteenth means Persistence
Seventeenth means Exclusivity
Eighteenth means Forgiveness
Nineteenth means Acceptance
and the last one...the most important one...
Twentieth means Love.
"Love?"
Yeosang was beyond confused. Love? Their relationship lacks love?
But how come?
Yeosang knew to himself that he loved Seonghwa and he is also confident that the elder felt the same way.
Then Wooyoung's words struck him.
One thing I could tell you, Sangie. If you are sure with loving that person, you must let them know that you love them. Make sure to cherish them and every moment with them. Who knows...the next day that person could be gone forever.
Is that what Wooyoung was pertaining?
"Come to realize...Seonghwa and I never said..."
...I love you to each other.
Is that it? To prove the love that they have, they need to tell that they love each other?
Yeosang grinned in joy, dashing his way out of the library. He ran through the hallways, apologizing to those whom he bumped. But all he could think was saying those three words to Seonghwa. All he could think was proving his love to him. All he could think was breaking the spell that could save their lives.
All he could think of was Seonghwa.
That they could finally be free.
That there will no devastating events.
That the curse will be broken.
Yeosang finally arrived at the gate of the school premises. The blonde immediately spotted Seonghwa and his friend Mingi on the other side of the road behind QueenCafe.
"Hwa!"
Seonghwa looked up and flashed a smile when seeing his husband. The elder had two cups of coffee in his hands, one for himself and the other for Yeosang.
Yeosang couldn't wait anymore, so he deliberately ran his way to the other side of the road.
And then, one moment happened when the headlights were against his torso as he stopped his pace on the middle of the road. He diverted his gaze on the car that was heading towards him.
It was so sudden...
He was almost there...
His body can't move...why?
It resulted to Yeosang lying on the concrete ground with blood stains evident on his head and scratches visible on his skin. His vision went blurry once again, voice trying to emit and wanting to scream help.
Oh why must it be this way?
He was almost there...
Yeosang's consciousness finally subsided.
