CHAPTER ELEVEN
Third Person
Seonghwa decided to go to school early because he felt like he didn't want to see his parents after the commotion between them. After leaving the Kangs' residence, he went to Hongjoong's place to stay the night as he felt like didn't want to go back to his house. Hongjoong was surprised but worried at the older's condition, Seonghwa looked pissed and distressed rather than he was before.
Seonghwa entered the room where his first subject was located. He plopped down his bag and took a seat abruptly. He put on his hood to cover his head and crossed his arms. He zoned out for a while, not even bothering his classmates entering the room.
He took a glance on his schedule that was glued to his identification card. He didn't have Maths today, which is the only class he shared with Yeosang. He was quite thankful, he doesn't want to see him anyway...especially when he harshly hurt him with his words yesterday.
Yeosang, on the other hand, hasn't recovered from what happened yesterday. He felt like he didn't want to go to school today. He wanted to lie down and cry all day and night. But Wooyoung, without knowing his current situation, wanted him to go to school because he needed to present the project together. Yeosang just sighed and prepared himself for today.
Few hours had passed and it was lunch break. Seonghwa sat on his table with his friends. He noticed that Jongho wasn't in the table yet, usually he would be the first one to arrive.
"Where is Jongho?" Seonghwa decided to ask his friends to which they replied "I don't know." with a subtle shrug.
Seonghwa noticed that Jongho has been awfully quiet ever since Lia's death. He knew how close they were which is probably the reason why he has been down lately.
Seonghwa shrugged as well, letting it go. He must have been busy. Seonghwa thought, so he didn't want to make it a big deal for him.
The raven-haired glanced at the table where Yeosang was seated with his friend named Wooyoung as he recalled. Seonghwa slightly felt bad for the younger that he had to be involved in his family matter. Yeosang must have felt like he was a burden to Seonghwa's family that he had to marry Seonghwa for the better. That's what Seonghwa thought.
Seonghwa sighed again. He still doesn't understand why his family had to be in a curse. He doesn't understand why his family believed in this weird religion he's in. He doesn't even know if the curse is true or not.
He felt a vibration on his pocket, so he lazily pulled the mobile phone out and answered the call without checking the ID caller.
"Hello?"
"Seonghwa!"
He moved his phone away from his ear at the sound of his mother yelling. So instead he put the audio on speaker, knowing it's going to be another episode of his mother nagging.
"What mom?" He nonchalantly said, fidgeting the keychain hanging on his bag in boredom.
"Seo-Seonghwa...it's yo-your father!" Mom stammered with anxiousness evident in her tone.
Seonghwa gulped nervously, feeling his heart insanely pounding to the beat.
"What happened to Dad?"
"T-There was a shooting accident inside the c-company! Your dad was s-shot and he's in—in critical condition!"
Those words caused Seonghwa to abruptly storm off the cafeteria, earning glances from students and staffs but the raven-haired didn't give a damn. He ran to his car and drove to where the hospital is located with the help of his mother.
Seonghwa cried at the events happening to him lately. After Lia's death, things are starting to go downhill. He questioned, why does this happen to him? Does he actually deserve this fate? He couldn't handle it. It hurts to see his loved ones dying.
He prayed, hoping that his father won't end up like Lia.
He cursed to himself. It felt like it was all his fault, for not giving Yeosang a chance—for not giving his parents a chance.
When Seonghwa arrived at the hospital, he immediately looked for his mother. He spotted her crying at the hallway. Seonghwa hugged his mother and kissed her on the forehead. He couldn't help but cry on his mother's arms.
They are cursed.
Seonghwa now realized that he's almost turning twenty. Just two weeks left. If he's not married after turning twenty, then it would be hell for them.
After minutes of breaking down, Seonghwa's mother spoke, "Honey, do you believe me now?" She sobbed.
Seonghwa nodded and intertwined his fingers to hers.
"I'm so sorry, Mom." Seonghwa shed a tear. His mother cupped his cheek and wiped the tears away as she faintly smiled.
Seonghwa looked into his mother's eyes before asking, "Did Yeosang agree with the fixed marriage?"
His mother nodded, "He's really selfless, honey. He wanted the best for all of us."
The raven-haired nodded, "Then I want to have this wedding settled by next week."
Seonghwa's mother proudly kissed his son's temple. She was grateful that Seonghwa finally sacrificed for them, even if it means taking his happiness from him.
The doctor went out of the surgery room and asked for the Park family.
"How is my husband?" Mrs Park suddenly got nervous, causing Seonghwa to rub her shoulders to calm her down.
"Mr. Park survived from that shot which is unbelievable. Although, he's in coma right now and it might take him days, weeks or even years for him to wake up." The doctor explained and the two sighed in relief. Seonghwa thanked heavens for this news.
"Thank you so much, doc." Seonghwa bowed and the doctor nodded before walking away.
But little did they know, the person they should thank is the lady disguised as a nurse. The same woman, with long grey hair, that Yeosang saw at the accident. She smirked to herself before leaving the room in discreet.

After Yeosang's last class, he headed out and rode in his car, bidding a goodbye to his friend. The blonde-haired sighed and checked the time on his watch—5:12 p.m.
It's still early, paying a visit won't hurt.
"Is it okay if we go to the nearest flower shop first?" Yeosang politely asked his driver.
"Of course, sir." The driver replied and the younger thanked him.
When they arrived at the flower shop, Yeosang got out of the car and asked for a bouquet of roses to the seller.
The seller widen his eyes when he saw the customer, "O-oh...Yeosang-hyung, my deepest condolences." The seller bowed with his lips pressed into a thin line.
Yeosang was stunned that the person knew him so he asked, "Thank you but do I know you?"
The male behind the counter shook his head in response, "Probably you don't, but your sister was a classmate and a friend of mine." He flashed a smile and Yeosang nodded at his statement.
"I see. Well, can I have a bouquet of roses? It's for my sister."
"Coming right up." He said then prepared six roses and wrapped it all up in a plastic, spicing it up with little flowers and finishing it with a red ribbon.
Yeosang was in awe on how the younger managed to do that in a short time. The blonde-haired paid for the roses, mumbling a, "Thank you...umm?"
"It's Seungmin."
"Thank you, Seungmin. It's beautiful." Yeosang's lips curved into a crescent shape.
"Thank you and you're welcome, have a good day!" He waved and Yeosang bid his goodbyes to the young seller.
After fifteen minutes, he arrived his destination. He hopped off the car and was about to walk to his sister's grave...when suddenly, he saw a familiar figure standing in front of her grave.
"Shit." Yeosang cursed and went inside the car, which confused the driver but Yeosang told the driver to keep quiet.
Yeosang darted his gaze to the person, familiarizing the apple-colored haired. He realized it was Jongho, holding a bouquet of flowers too.
The red-haired male bent down to caress his hands on the grave. Yeosang couldn't help but frown at the sight.
Yeosang saw how Jongho placed the bouquet on Lia's grave while wiping his tears.
Jongho must have loved Lia.
Jongho began to walk away. He spotted the red-haired's car and immediately drove away from the area.
Yeosang waited for a few minutes before hopping off the car and placed the bouquet beside Jongho's flowers.
The blonde smiled and said, "I'll protect Seonghwa for you, sis. That's a promise."
