"I'm sorry! I'm sorry I'm sorry!"Kike repeated bringing Jide from his trance. He look at Kike feeling confused "I shouldn't have been asking you that. God! What's wrong with me. I'm so sorry sir. Please don't be offended" Kike rambled and Jide understand while Kike thought he's angry,he had stall without replying her and now she thinks he is angry

"Hey! It's okay"Jide managed to breath out. Kike stood up immediately, brushing away the dirt in her night gown

"I will be going inside"Kike said making for a run while Jide stopped her by holding her hand. Kike turned and their eyes locked,non of the two move while their heart beats faster. It's obvious the awkwardness is so thick that a knife could cut through. Jide slowly move his hand from Kike's making sure to brush through her skin. He did it purposely. Kike noticed his hand running down her hand and stopped breathing going rigid

"I'm not offended,you can sit. It's nice having a normal talk with someone much younger"Jide said and suddenly realised what he had done. He wanted to stay away from Kike but he hasn't even try or maybe he tried but his body always act on their own accord.

"Are you sure?"Kike asked looking into his eyes. The moon illuminating his face adding more beauty to it, his face became sharper and his beards glisten under the moonlight. His face alone under the moonlight is enough to get a poet to write a poem. Epitome of beauty

"Uhmmm! Whatever you like"Jide said heightening the tension in the air. He isn't even sure how to act in front of Kike,the girl have consume all his thoughts and he is getting married soon? To her sister? He must be mad. That's the right answer to all this.

"I think I should get inside"Kike said with a small voice "it's nice talking to you. You're not bad"Kike said the last part smiling, Jide's breathe caught up on his throat. Did she just smiled under the moonlight? What can he say. This is beauty at its finest

"Okay. Good night"Jide said giving her a small smile. Kike nodded before going inside

Jide remain outside and look around breathing in fresh air. He close his eyes momentarily before deciding to go inside, at least Moreni should be calm by now. He stepped inside the room and met Moreni sleeping with dry tears on her cheeks. He lay beside her wiping the tears away. He kissed her forehead before deciding to retire for the night. He will have an healthy talk with her tomorrow on their way back to Lagos.

It felt like in a blink of an eye,the sun rises from it's horizon, Kike stood up to do her chores while as usual her dad left to check on his provision store. Jide went inside the bathroom to have his bath and came out to meet Moreni is already awake,she was sitting on the beds are legs sprawled

"Good morning"Jide said and went closer to kiss her forehead. Moreni sighed and looked up Jide,even the sleep wasn't able to make her feel any better

"How was your night?"Moreni asked groggily

"I should be asking you that"Jide said giving Moreni a pointy look,Moreni look away "we will talk about this on our way"Jide added giving no room for arguement. Moreni sighed again standing up heading to the bathroom.

Jide got dressed in a pair of dark blue jeans trouser and a pink button up shirt. He combed his hair spraying his perfume on his body. He gathered him and Moreni's bag arranging it. Moreni came outside of the bathroom and got dressed in a dark blue floral gown that stopped beneath her knees.

They suddenly heard a knock on the door and Moreni said. "Come in" the door opened revealing Kike who is only on her night gown with her hair looking like a bird nest. Even though she look unpresentable Jide still find himself been attracted to how she looks,it seems no matter what Kike pulls off it always amazes him

"What is it?"Moreni asked

"Mummy said I should call the both of you for breakfast"Kike said yawning "Good morning"

"Good morning"Moreni said monotonously

"How was your night?"Jide asked

"It was okay"Kike replied before turning away.

The couple left the room heading to the dining room Mrs Rotimi set the table this time around and the breakfast comprises of tea and bread with egg sauce. Moreni and Jide sat down while Mrs Rotimi served them

"How are you feeling now?"They suddenly heard Kike's voice who's on the phone "make sure you take your drugs please.... Okay.... We will talk later then"Kike said ending the call,her mother turn to look at her

"Who's that?"Her mom asked

"Favour"she replied while sitting down,Jide look at her and saw that she looks more presentable than when he first saw her this morning. She must have taken her bath,she got dress in an old t-shirt and old black jeans that had ripped in the thigh

They sat down quietly eating their breakfast when Mr Rotimi came back joining them in the table. They ate quietly

"Are you leaving immediately after breakfast?"Mr Rotimi asked breaking the silence in the dining room,they are almost done with their breakfast

"Yes sir"Jide replied and silence reigned again. They round up everything and Kike stood up clearing the dining room while Jide and Moreni went back to their room to take their bags out.

They took the bags to Jide's car,the family all joined them outside to wish them safe journey.

"Please drive carefully"Mrs Rotimi said

"I will ma'am,thank you"Jide said smiling

"I will miss you sister"Kike said and everyone chuckled apart from Moreni

"You're coming soon anyways"Moreni murmured loud enough for everyone to hear

"Take good care of yourself"Mr Rotimi said and Jide nodded looking at Kike

"Take care of yourself"he said and Kike smiled. He was already missing her

"I will"Kike replied and they went inside the car. Jide ignited the engines to life, they rode out of the compound. Kike sighed and followed her parents inside

The ride back to Lagos was completely in silence,Moreni avoided Jide's gaze looking out the window. Jide's phone suddenly start ringing bringing them from their little bubbles

Jide picked the call after few rings. Immediately Raphael's voice could be heard

"Jide what's up?"he greeted

"I'm fine. I'm on my way to Lagos"Jide informed him

"I thought you're supposed to spend a week there?"Raphael asked

"Yes but planned change,I will tell you about it later. What's up why did you call?"Raphael asked

"I just want to tell you they have moved my dad from the hospital to the house,the doctor said he's okay to stay at home but he doesn't look fine at all to me"Raphael said and Jide sighed. He knows his uncle's sickness is taking a lot from Raphael

"We will talk later. I'm driving"Jide said

"Okay,make sure you call me when you're back. I would love to see you"Raphael says

"Okay. We will just meet at the family house,I would love to check on uncle"Jide said

"Okay then,thank you"Raphael said ending the call. Jide dropped the phone beside him,he turn to look at Moreni and saw that she's still looking out of the window

"Moreni"he called softly. Moreni heard but decided to act like she didn't hear him

"Moreni!"he called a little louder this time around

"Yes"Moreni replied turning around to look at Jide

"What's wrong with you?"Jide asked and Moreni look out the window. Jide got angry his grip on the steering wheel getting harder "don't fucking act like you didn't hear me!"Jide yelled shocking Moreni who turn immediately to look at Jide

"Jide...."Moreni started but trailed off when she saw Jide's angry face, Jide stopped the car beside the road coming out of the car. He came out of the car rubbing his hands from his hair to his face obviously frustrated.

Moreni's heart skipped getting scared immediately,she didn't want Jide getting angry at her with everything going on around her right now. She stood up from the car immediately going after Jide,she touched him and Jide turn giving her a mean look. She took a step back a tear escaping her eyes, Jide's face soften after seeing the tears

"I'm so sorry! I found out my childhood best friend died and I couldn't absolve the shock,it was just too overwhelming"Moreni said and started crying "I'm so sorry Jide, please forgive me. I'm so sorry!"she said crying harder,Jide sighed and went over to hug her while she cried on his chest. He slowly patted her back

"We are not getting married for no reason Moreni,you should be able to tell me things. At least I would have stay with you yesterday's night trying to see if you're okay,I'm just so angry at the way you were treating me. It felt like you were pushing me away"Jide said and Moreni shook her head unable to form a proper words,she was trying to let him know he was wrong

"It's okay, everything was meant to happen and please it's okay stop crying. Tears can't wake up the dead"Jide said and Moreni smile wiping away her tears, Jide helped her

"I love you so so much"Moreni said and Jide's heart beat increased,he couldn't open his mouth to reciprocate what Moreni said,it never use to be an issue for him but nowadays he find it hard to tell her he loves her. Instead he only draw her closer kissing her forehead

"Promise me you will never leave me"Moreni said and Jide chuckled

"You're suddenly acting babyish,of course I didn't joked when I said I wanted to make you my wife,my life partner"Jide said and Moreni smiled

"I believe you"she said before they went back to the car. Jide ignited the engine as they continue their ride to Lagos. They made small jokes along the way laughing heartedly. Moreni smiled taking her phone and sent a message to Timothy

What do you really want?

Moreni

She sent to Timothy,she really wants to get rid of him and focus on Jide. He is someone she never wants to loose and she will go at any length to keep their relationship. Her phone suddenly beeped and she took it seeing that Timothy already replied her message

Did you just text me?! Damn about time. We are going physical Agape. See you soon😉

Moreni read the message and sighed.

Ok. How soon?

Very very soon 😉

She switched her phone off immediately after sending the text looking at Jide smiling who smiled back at her.

Tell me how I can see myself loosing this man anytime soon.
