"Jide!" Moreni said and Jide smiled at her,Moreni was confused and slowly sit down on the chair opposite to the one Jide is in

"How are you doing?" Jide asked

"I'm fine" Moreni replied looking at Jide,she was expecting a smirk or any negative signs from him but got nothing "what about you?"

"I'm good" Jide replied scratching his left brow. They sat down quietly the two of them not knowing how to start a conversation,funny enough things have got so much awkward between them

"So.... Why are you here? You're the last person I expected to see"Moreni broke the silence

" Kike"Jide said and breathes out. Kike's name have become very heavy in his lips,it's been three weeks he last saw her or heard from her. This three weeks felt like three years for him "we talked and she asked me if I visited you for once and I said no,she said at least we owe each other a closure. I thought about it and it was true"

" Yeah,I was thinking about seeing you too"Moreni said and cracked her throat

" I'm sorry Moreni"Jide suddenly said and Moreni look up to see him,she saw the sincerity on his face "I was the one who asked you to be my girlfriend and then proceed to ask you to marry me,I shouldn't have done those things behind your back. Sleeping or having anything romantic with your sister"Jide said and Moreni's eyes fell on her fingers,she started playing with her fingers while trying to control her tears

"I'm not sorry for knowing Kike though, whatever I felt towards Kike is different from whatever I feel towards you,I only understand what love truly means when I met Kike,it all started from the first day I set my eyes on her. She didn't seduce me or anything,I approached her first. I'm only sorry for all the pains I caused you with my selfish acts"Jide said and Moreni chuckled

" Well I deserved it,I deserve those pains and more. I hold no grudges against you Jide,we shared a lot of memories together that I can never forget,I'm your first in a lot of things too and I know you can't forget me too. Whatever you think I hold against you don't think about it at all,I'm perfectly okay with you"Moreni said and Jide nodded chuckling silently

" We do have a lot of memories"Jide said and Moreni chuckled

" Remember the first time we kissed? How I was shocked it was your first kiss" Moreni said and Jide laughed shortly

" I was an introvert then you know,you were the wild and weird one" Jide said and Moreni chuckled

" You should be thankful I'm wild,I'm sure if not you wouldn't have ever had sex in your life"Moreni said and they both bursted into laughter

" Thank you"Jide suddenly said when they have calmed down "thank you for all those awesome memories"

"Thank you too. For the friendship and momentarily love,it worth a lot of good memories"Moreni said and Jide nodded. They sat quietly when Jide decided to break the silence

"I will be leaving the country tomorrow,I decided to see you for the last time before I leave. I'm going back to England"Jide said

" What? What about Kike?"Moreni asked

"We are not together, her choice though" Jide said forcing a smile

" When are you coming back?"Moreni asked

" I don't think I will ever step my legs in Nigeria again" Jide said and smiled,Moreni opened her mouth to talk but Jide beat her to it "don't worry about me okay? Just have a good life,I will try too"Jide said and stand up

" I wish you the best"Moreni said

" Me too"Jide said and stood up leaving the prison yard.

Kike look at the mansion the driver who picked her up from the airport ride in,she didn't know the person she's coming over to stay with lives in such big house. She was busy looking around the mansion when the car stopped,the driver came down from the car and Kike did that too. She look around and saw the driver pulling her boxes from the car boot. She went over to help him immediately

"I can carry them don't worry" Kike said smiling

"Don't worry ma'am,that's my job" the driver said thesame time the main door to the house opened. Kike saw two kids running through the door,a boy and a girl. The boy is obviously older and then an older woman coming outside with a baby on her hands,she recognise the woman immediately. She's Jide's cousin that came over to visit them sometimes ago.

"Good afternoon ma'am" Kike greeted and Monica laughed

"Good afternoon, what's up with the ma'am? It makes me feel old,just call me Monica. That's my name"Monica said and Kike nodded " so babies say hi to sister Kike" Monica told her kids

"Good afternoon sister Kike. My name is Diana"the little girl said and Kike chuckled

" Hi,I'm Daniel" the boy said

"He's having thesame name with Daddy"Dianna whispered and they all laughed except Daniel who finds that annoying. Kike went closer to Monica taking the baby in her arms

"What's his name?" Kike asked

"David" Monica said smiling "My husband is not at home,I will introduce him to you when he comes"

"Okay"Kike replied and they all went inside with the driver taking Kike's luggages inside,Monica showed Kike her room and asked her to join her in the sitting room when she have settled in.

Kike look around the room and sighed,she have texted her mom she's moving out of Lagos and starting a new life herself. Her mother have disturbed her with calls that she angrily threw her sim away,she planned on buying new one. Her mind wanders to Jide and she thought about how he must be feeling right now or if he have eaten, she hopes he feeds well. Kike sighed and stood up,she didn't want to wallow in self pity.

Exactly three months Kike moved in with Monica,she have registered a new sim and talk to Rose everyday,Rose wedding is fast approaching and she came to love Monica and her husband. They're the kindest people she ever met.

"I'm back home! Mummy! Sister Kike!" Kike heard Diana shouts and chuckled,the children have grown fond of her and she have grown to love them

"I'm here!" Kike shouted and left the room heading to the sitting room,she met Diana taking off her uniform and threw her bag on the floor,a bad habit Monica dislikes

"You know mummy doesn't like this" Kike said and kneel picking her uniform and school bag

"Thank you Kike" Kike suddenly heard Monica's voice and smiled. Kike gave Diana her uniform to take inside her room and went over to take David from Monica. Monica suddenly threw an envelope on top of the center table between them,Kike gave her a confusing look

"It's for you" Monica said and Kike picked the envelope,she opened it and read the letter on it before she shouted covering her mouth up

"A scholarship? A scholarship to study at Nile University? A private University?"Kike asked and couldn't contain her joy " how did it happen?"

"With a help of someone" Monica said scratching the back of her head,she's obviously lying but Kike is not aware of it "I think you shouldn't stay at home all day long anymore,you should go to school and continue your studies"

" Thank you so much, I'm so grateful"Kike said kneeling down, Monica quickly picked her up

" It's not really me that made it happen" Monica said but Kike nodded no

" It's you"Kike said and Monica smiled,she's happy that Kike's happy. Kike didn't really have a scholarship,it was Jide who sent the money over to Nigeria so that Kike can go back to school,Jide have begged Monica severally not to let Kike know he's the one funding her education

"Have you ever thought about Jide?" Monica suddenly asked, Kike's smile died down immediately. She wondered why Monica suddenly brings Jide up

"No,why?" Kike lied. Of course she have thought about Jide severally and imagine what he will be doing at the moment

"Don't you care to know where he stays or not? What he do? Or how's he doing?"Monica asked

" We shouldn't talk about him"Kike said laughing nervously

" Jide left the country two months ago" Monica suddenly said

"What?!"Kike said with disappointment clearly written all over her face,she have hope to see him again during Rose wedding. That's why she's so eager counting the days the wedding will happen. She have bought nice clothes that she's going to wear at the wedding, anything to catch Jide's attention

"I just wanted you to know" Monica said and sighed,it's obvious she's struggling within herself not to talk more about Jide or she might end up revealing everything Jide have begged her to hide. She still don't understand Jide but she knows how it feels to be in love,Jide is in love and the most beautiful part of it is he supports Kike,he wants her to grow. He have severally lamented on the phone how he wants Kike to go back to school and continue her life, Monica have once asked him what will he do if Kike ends up loving someone else,Jide didn't answer obviously he doesn't wants to think about it. Monica sighed thinking about all Jide have went through in his life and how good he is and a decent man at that

"Aunt Victoria Jide's mom had Jide out of wedlock,her boyfriend denied her and she started living with my dad her elder brother. She gave birth to Jide alone with no man to care for her,so this Jide's aunt who lives in England visited Nigeria and found out about Jide,they forcefully took him away from his mom to live in England. I didn't grow up with Jide,but with the little I know about him. Jide is a good man and for a man so handsome like him he's supposed to be a player but no he doesn't have time for women,he hardly look at a woman twice,I remembered when he just came back to Nigeria,he's always in his room with his laptop. A strong introvert"Monica said and chuckled " I don't know why I'm telling you this but all I want you to know is Jide is a good man,a very good man and decent at that"Monica said and stand up heading to her room.

Kike's shoulders sagged and she quietly stood up heading to her room,she slumped on her bed and started crying. She's so angry at her self and the situation she is in. She's busy happy and preparing for Rose wedding thinking she's going to see Jide again only to find out he's out of the country,she cried as it finally sink inside her that she's never going to see him again, she wondered about the kind of life Jide is going to live and if he's going to find a new woman he's going to spend the rest of his life with. The thought alone made Kike to have headache, she can't believe all this is due to the decision she made. She haven't thought about it over very well before hastiliy making the decision, now she regrets it and all she wants to see is Jide
