Jide was busy spacing up and down when he saw Rose and his mom running inside the hospital

"What happened?!" Rose asked looking all scared

"Kike woke up,she asked me about the pregnancy and i told her it's gone. She went all crazy"Jide replied

" How's she right now?"Aunt Victoria asked

" She was sedated,I think she will be okay when she wakes up"Jide replied

" When is she going to wake up?"Rose asked

"Tomorrow" Jide replied and the two women nodded. They went inside the room and met Kike sleeping,Aunt Victoria held her hands and kissed then both

"It's not easy to loose one's child" Aunt Victoria said and Rose nodded. She step away from Kike letting Rose get closer to her,she went over to meet Jide

"I will be traveling soon" Aunt Victoria said

" I know, Raphael told me about it this morning" Jide replied

"Okay,you should take care of yourself,I talked to Monica yesterday and she asked me to greet you"Aunt Victoria said

" I met her missed calls day before yesterday,I haven't been able to call her. I will call her later"Jide said and his mom nodded

" So you should take good care of yourself,shave your beards and Barb your hair. You look homeless"Aunt Victoria said and Jide chuckled

" Kike said thesame thing before she went all crazy"Jide replied and his mom smiled

" I will be leaving"Aunt Victoria said

" Okay"Jide said and his mom hugged him before leaving.

" You should go too" Jide said to Rose who just chuckled

" I'm sad I wasn't here when she woke up,I'm eager to see her awake" Rose said and Jide chuckled pulling Rose close to himself giving her a semi hug,they have gotten so much closer the past one month

"Don't worry by tomorrow she will be awake, tomorrow will be here in a blink of an eye,let's head back home. I should use this little time to get some work done"Jide said and Rose nodded,she could hear the excitement on his voice,it very obvious Jide is happy that Kike have woken up

"Okay" Rose replied nodding her head

Moreni look around as she was dragged to the court house, spending one month in the prison is slowly making her to loose her sanity,she have thought about how things could have been better. Maybe if she didn't suggested Kike living with her when she gained admission things would have been much better for her,or even so if she would have just stick to Timothy right from the start. Now she knows Timothy is the only man who truly loved her,if she would have given birth to that baby maybe! Just maybe her baby would have been getting to four years now,who knows she would have had a perfect life with Timothy but her greediness get the best of her when she set her eyes on Jide, Jide is so handsome so handsome for a dark guy,his height too is so obvious in the midst of hundreds,he knows how to dress too. He is the perfect description of Moreni's teenage dream of a perfect guy and that dream have stuck on her,she remembered how Jide use to be a snub and how she kept on pestering him and they became friends,she remembered the day he finally asked her out,that have been the best day of her life. How she get so happy and get herself drunk,how she almost get herself killed when she had an accident while coming from the bar that day,how she have played the role of the perfect girlfriend so well Jide decided to put the ring on her finger,her hands suddenly clenched as her anger grew,she got so angry about Kike destroying everything she build,she wished she died but unfortunately when her mom visited her,she told her Kike is still alive. That must be the angriest news she ever got,she can't be getting imprisoned for nothing.

"Court!!!" She suddenly heard the clerk said. Everyone stood up and she finally look up to see the people in the court,she look around and was so disappointed Jide wasn't here,to her disappointment Stella have been released last month,she was sued of five hundred thousand naira and an undertaking never to indulge in such activity again

Suddenly her eyes landed on the last person she expected to see on the court,in the middle row seated Timothy looking directly to her eyes,she wondered how he got released after kidnapping her and also still in Nigeria. Timothy lips slowly curved smiling at her,she look away immediately almost dying of embarrassment,this is not the way she expected to see Timothy again,not when she could be killed and in front of a court getting judged

The following day came as Jide eagerly expected,he had his bathe and decided to shave his beards before going over to meet Kike,she have complained about it. His phone suddenly started ringing and he dropped the shaving stick he picked,he took his phone and it was Monica calling him

"Good morning Moni!" Jide said after picking the call,he could hear the kids voice in the background. Monica's son and her younger sister Sarah's daughter who Monica have decided to train

"How are you Jide?" Monica asked

"Much better,how are you and the baby. Daniel and Diana are so loud"Jide said and Monica chuckled

" The baby is fine,don't mind them they are playing"Monica said and there was a long pause " I wanted to ask how's the girl doing?"

"She's fine,she woke up yesterday and find out she lost the pregnancy and went all crazy,the doctor have to sedate her"Jide replied

" That's so sad,I hope she gets a lot better"Monica says

" Yeah thank you so much,you always call me most of the times"Jide said and Monica chuckled " Send my greetings to Lola when you see her and her children"

"Of course I will,she will be here anytime soon"Monica said

" Okay then,have a nice day"Jide said and the call came to an end. Jide sighed and lost interest on shaving his beards any longer,he left the bathroom and got dressed leaving the house. He head to the hospital immediately.

He parked his car in the parking lot of the hospital and came down from the car,he went inside Kike's room and was surprised seeing her sitting down and also crying

"Kike!" He breathes out. Kike sniffed and look up to see Jide

"You know when I find out the food I was eating was poisoned, I wasn't scared for my life,I was scared for my baby's. I wanted to do anything to save my baby but I couldn't"Kike said and sniffed " I didn't want to loose my baby,I know I said shit before! About aborting my baby but I can't go through it,I wanted to be with my baby forever Jide! Now I wake up and my little baby bump is gone! My baby is gone"Kike said and started crying profusely,Jide went closer to her hugging her while she cried on his shoulders

"I know I betrayed my sister" Kike said and sniffed sitting back upright " why will she try to kill me,we are only two" Kike said raising two of her fingers " when my mom gave birth to her she had an hard time getting pregnant again,she have to wait for five years to have me and after then she couldn't have another,my dad and mom resigned to faith leaving the both of us to be the only siblings,why will she try to kill me Jide! I thought she loves me,I thought no matter what I do she will insult me maybe punish me and pull me closer,I thought....."Jide placed his fingers on her lips shutting her up

" Those things will land you into depression Kike,we can't afford that. You're just waking up after awhile"Jide said and Kike nodded " I have to go and see the doctor,have they come over to check up on you?"

" Yes they did,the doctor ran some tests on me"Kike replied

" Okay I will go over and meet the doctor right now,your mom will be here very soon. She have been coming to Lagos regularly to check up on you"Jide said and Kike nodded. Jide stood up and left the room going over to the doctor's office. He dialled Rose contact informing her Kike is awake before he quietly knocked on the office door and heard a faint come in,he pushed the door open entering the doctor's office

"Good morning sir" Jide greeted

"Good morning sir please sit"The doctor said and Jide did just that " she woke up around five in the morning and have been extremely calm,we have to run some tests on her to be sure she's very okay

"Okay sir" Jide said

"So the test results are out and we have both good and bad news" the doctor said and Jide's heart skipped a bit

" Okay sir, please go on"Jide said eagerly

"Well I will go on with the good news first. We checked her vitals and she's perfectly fine,you can hardly guess she was poisoned"the doctor said and Jide sighed

" Thank God!" He muttered

"But the problem is,the poison affected her womb"the doctor said and Jide look up to see him immediately " her womb was affected but not permanently damage, she might have a very hard time getting pregnant. She have to be on treatment most of the time to allow that. I'm so sorry sir"

Jide slowly place his head on the desk and shed few tears,he couldn't hold it all in

How is he going to break the news to her that it's almost impossible to be a mother again,she is already depressed the way she is right and this? How is he going to share the news with her

"Sir?" The doctor called and Jide slowly raise his head up faking a smile

"Is that all?" He asked

"Yes" the doctor replied and Jide slowly stood up,he left the office slowly walking to Kike's room,he felt so drain and sad,he slowly opened the door and saw Rose sitting on Kike's bed hugging her. He felt his eyes stinging as new waves of tears were threatening to breakthrough,he always want to see her smiling like that and he is not sure if he will be able to tell her,it will be hard for her getting pregnant. He decided he wouldn't tell her,he can't share such shocking and heartbreaking news to Kike. She doesn't deserve it at all

"Jide" he suddenly heard her call him and look up to see her "what are you doing at the door?" She asked

"Nothing" Jide replied faking a smile,he went further inside the room

"Kikelomo!" He suddenly heard Mrs Rotimi's voice and his heart skipped a bit. He is scared,he is scared of Kike going through this and now he knows the woman is going to tell her daughter everything including her father that have disowned her

"Mummy!" Kike said excitedly,he could see the excitement on her to finally see her mother

"My baby" Mrs Rotimi said and rushed inside to hug her daughter
