KIKE sighed as she entered the house, she dropped her bag on top of the bed, she took off her clothes entering the bathroom. She on the shower and started bathing a very cool water to calm down her nerves, she suddenly remembered how she acted when she found out Rose is a stripper, her heart got tight with a knot knowing she's guilty of something too, maybe being a stripper is way better than sleeping with her sister's Fiance.

She finished having her bath and left the bathroom wearing her night gown, her phone suddenly started ringing and she picked her phone, she met it's Jide calling her and her heart skipped a bit, she had an internal prayer hoping nothing happened to her sister

"Hello" she said after picking up the call

" Hi Kike, thank God we found your sister and she's currently in the hospital"Jide said and Kike's nerve calmed a bit

" Hope she doesn't have any complicated issues?" Kike asked

"Of course not, the doctor said her body is weak due to she haven't been eating properly, she will be discharged by the end of the day"Jide said

" Okay, I'm coming right away"Kike said

" Please prepare her something to eat before coming"Jide says

" Okay"Kike replied and the call came to an end, she stood up from her bed immediately rushing to the kitchen. She look at the available food in the kitchen and decided to boil rice since there's stew in the house.

Forty minutes later, she was done with her cooking and change from a night gown to a short multicolored straight gown. She took the lunch pack she put all the food in and left the house, making sure to lock the door before leaving the compound

She took a taxi that took her to the hospital, Jide had sent the location to her via text message, she entered the hospital and luckily for her, she saw Jide in the lobby

"Good afternoon" Kike greeted

"Good afternoon, she's awake"Jide replied and Kike nodded following Jide to her sister's ward

" Kike! "Moreni said as soon as she set her eyes on Kike, Kike ran over to meet her hugging her in the bed

"Sister! I missed you so much, I was so scared nothing bad happened to you"

"All thanks to God, Jide and the policemen saved me at the right time"Moreni said and Kike smiled, Kike turn over to see Jide muttering a thank you, Jide smiled.

"How have you been? How's school?" Moreni asked sitting up in the bed

" Been fine, school also is fine. You should eat, I brought you rice and stew"Kike said bending to take the food, she handed it to Moreni who gave her a grateful smile before she started eating

"I heard you're leaving the hospital today" Kike said

" Yes"

Rose left the school compound not sure how she's going to talk to Kike without feeling awkward, she sighed and enter a taxi that took her back to Raphael's house. She wants to go back to her house but it seems Raphael wants her over at his place, he is too kind to her and that itself is scary, she's not use to people showing her so much affection since the day the lost her parents but it's obvious Raphael is adamant about her past, her flaws. She knows she's suppose to be grateful but she's just too scared of relying on anyone, people can change at any time and she's not ready for that change. She knows if she let Raphael in fully and things get messed up later, she might never heal from the heart break.

She entered inside the house with the spare key Raphael gave her, she look around and there wasn't anyone at home, Raphael had dropped the twins in their school earlier in the morning when he was on his way to his work.

Rose entered her temporary room and had a bath, she wore a pyjamas and left the room going over to the kitchen to see what she can prepare down for Raphael and the twins. She decided to cook melon soup with semolina. She brought out the ingredients she needs and get straight to work.

An hour and a half later Rose was done cooking, she wrapped the semolina inside a cooler and took her own food going to the sitting room, she turn on the television and started eating thesame time watching a movie.

Rose felt a gentle tap on her shoulder and opened her eyes, she saw Raphael and smiled sitting up. She didn't know when she fall asleep while watching a movie

"I didn't know when I fell asleep, welcome. How was work today? "Rose asked

" Work was okay, you look tired. How was your last paper? "Raphael asked

" It was okay"Rose replied and turn to see the twins " you brought them home?"

"Yes" Raphael replied

"When did you come back home? "Rose asked

" Over two hours ago"Raphael replied and Rose eyes went wide, she open her mouth to talk but Raphael beat her to it "we have eaten thank you. I saw the food you prepared, you're a life saver"Raphael said and Rose smiles

After watching series of Nigerian movies with Raphael and the twins, the twins had retired for the night earlier, Rose yawned and stood up about leaving the sitting room when Raphael's voice stopped her

"I have talk to the necessary people I have to talk to about Nnenna's burial" Raphael said and Rose nodded

" Thank you, I also wanted to tell you we will be going back to my apartment"Rose said and Raphael landed his gaze on her immediately

"Why can't you just stay here, I will change the twins school and take you to school everyday"Raphael said and Rose sighed

" You have help me enough Raphael, I don't want to be a burden to you" Rose says

" Who said you're a burden? You're not at all. What can I do to make you stay?" Raphael said standing up holding Rose two hands

"Raphael..." Rose said looking away

"Let's get married"

" What?!"Rose said looking at him

" Let me make you my wife and then you won't feel it's a burden living with me"Raphael said and Rose watch him warily " you don't have to give me an answer right now, when ever you want to. I will accept whatever your answer is"

" Are you sure you want to marry me? I'm not perfect Raphael, I have skeletons in my cupboard too and I have engage in an activity a good girl shouldn't do"Rose said and Raphael chuckled

" Like I said before, I don't care about your past and I love you, I want to spend the rest of my life with you"Raphael said and Rose tried controlling the tears that's threatening to fall from her eyes

"I never thought anyone is going to love me the way I am. This look so unreal, just so unreal"Rose said and bursted into tears " with the short time we started dating you have been of great help to me that I can't just fathom about it, how can I say no to your proposal. I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you"Rose said wiping her tears, Raphael's smile grew wider and hug Rose

"Thank you so much, this is the best day of my life" Raphael said and Rose chuckle

" You should wait for our baby to come before you say that" Rose said and Raphael's smile grew wider. He pull Rose closer and kiss her, Rose open her mouth and kissed him back.

She have never felt so complete like the way she's currently, saying yes to Raphael made her feel secured and loved. She knows she could trust him and she knows he will never do anything consciously to hurt her. She's grateful and now she can finally see the light in her tunnel

Jide paid for the hospital bill and take Moreni and Kike back to the house, Moreni look around in the sitting room when she entered inside and smiled

"I can't believe I can miss this house the way I did" Moreni said and Kike chuckled.

" Are you hungry? Let me cook for you"Kike asked

" Thank you, I'm not really hungry. What about noodles, will you eat Jide? "Moreni asked

" Yeah I will"Jide replied and Kike nodded going over to the kitchen, Jide and Moreni went back to their room. As soon as Moreni entered her room she stripped naked entering her bathroom, she had a bath and she had never felt so grateful before. She's so happy Timothy is finally in the police station and now out of her life, things could never be so perfect as it is now.

Three days later Moreni is inside her room pressing her phone when Jide went inside, Kike had left for Ibadan earlier that morning, Moreni tried all possible means to make her stay but Kike had said she misses her parents and want to go back home, Moreni had no choice but to let her go.

"What are you doing?" Jide asked

"Chatting with my manager, I told him I'm good enough to resume work this coming Monday"Moreni replied

" Okay that's good"Jide said sitting in the other side of the bed

Awhile later he broke the comfortable silence "I was able to to talk to your ex before the policemen took him away or rather he shouted things to me"Jide said and Moreni's heart skipped a bit dropping her phone immediately

"What's that?" She asked

"I thought you told me he wasn't of any threat, the way you talked about him that day sounds as if you guys weren't talking or the threat is just a one time fling or such, he told me you were sleeping with him"Jide said and raise one of his brows up

" Jide ... "Moreni started to talk but Jide cut her short

"See don't lie to me, I can't be getting married to someone who is secretive in few months time. We have less than three months to tie the knot"Jide said and Moreni started crying

" I'm sorry" Moreni said and bursted into tears

"Why were you sleeping with him? What's there that you can't tell me, oh! Now I remember him mentioning you killing his child, where you a mother before? You're hiding a lot of things from me and I can't believe I'm in darkness, a total darkness"Jide said and Moreni hiccupped

" It's not what you think Jide" Moreni said standing up and went to kneel beside Jide

" I was pregnant for him when we met, I was in relationship with him" Moreni said looking at Jide's face, it was all written in his face urging her to continue "I already told him I was pregnant and he was so happy, he started planning our wedding, buying stuffs and so. I was six months pregnant when we met"

" Six months pregnant! How come I didn't see your big stomach"Jide asked

" Not all women have a very visible baby bump when they're pregnant, the sign is there and it wasn't that obvious. I was always in gown and that made that harder to know, my parents weren't even aware of it"Moreni said and Jide suddenly remembered when he just met Moreni, she was always in a flare gown. He just thought back then it was her own fashion sense, she might love wearing gown a lot. His mind never take him that far to think about her being pregnant

"So? What happened to the pregnancy?" Jide asked

"When we just started dating and always on call, you are my type, the perfect guy I always dream of. Tall dark, handsome, beautiful beard, having a decent job too. A month later, the pregnancy was seven month then. I went to abort it"Moreni said hiding her face in her palms

" You did what! You aborted a seven months old pregnancy! Morenikeji! "Jide shouted
