Moreni was done with work and decided to get some groceries from the mall. She went inside the mall and bought what she needed, feeling contented she left the mall thinking of taking a taxi to the house. She suddenly felt someone presence behind her and got angry,the person is intruding in her personal space

"You were never thought about personal space?"Moreni asked trying to turn when she felt something on her back

"I'm with a gun,if you try anything I will kill you right here. Just move and enter that car"The stranger said and Moreni got scared immediately " you fucking act like nothing is going on!" He said angrily on her ear. Moreni swallowed and started moving suddenly getting notice of the car in her front.

The car door suddenly opened and she went inside with the stranger entering inside too,she was so scared and the only thing she could do is breath in and out to prevent her from breaking down and crying her eyes out.

"I got no money!" She suddenly shouted and one of the men snorted

" Will you shut up?"he snarled

"Put her to sleep" the driver said and Moreni's heartbeat accelerated

"Please don't! Please!!"Her voice was muffled as an handkerchief was use to cover her mouth and nose. She tried not to breathe but she couldn't hold it in anymore and breath in. Few minutes later,she started feeling dizzy and her eyes was covered with black dots before complete darkness overcome her

As soon as Kike left the house Jide sighed rubbing his hands all over his face,he knew he is at fault about what happened between him and Kike. He should have stopped it,he shouldn't have slept with her but he couldn't control it. He have never felt so jealous in his life before,he wanted to mark his territory,a territory he doesn't own

He took his bath wearing a dark blue pant on a white T-shirt. He took his phone and suddenly realized that Moreni didn't spent the night at home. He was too preoccupied with Kike that he failed to realise Moreni didn't sleep at home,he dialled her contact immediately thrice but she wasn't picking. He thought maybe she slept over at her friend's place like she normally does. He decided to leave the house immediately before guilt swallow him up.

Raphael went cold as soon as he processed what Kike said

Nnenna is dead!

How is he going to tell Rose,how is he going to break the news that her sister she so much wanted to save gave up the ghost. He exhaled trying to calm himself down,he doesn't need to show how scared he is fretting Kike

I don't understand, what do you mean by she's dead?" Raphael asked his hand gripping the phone harder

"I don't know what happened, I came to the hospital and she look weak and before I knew it she was convulsing, I called the doctor, they tried their best but she gave up the ghost, I don't know how I'm going to say this to Rose, I'm so scared right now"Kike replied, he could hear the cry in her voice. It's breaking

" Calm down, I will be right there as soon as possible"Raphael said and ended the call. He breathe in trying to calm himself as soon as possible and end the meeting without annoying the CEO

He went back inside the conference room and gave the director a fake smile

"Hope all is well?" The director asked

"Everything is well. We should continue"Raphael and the director nodded before they continued the meeting.

As soon as the meeting ended Raphael walk out of the conference room and went over to meet his secretary immediately

"There's an emergency Tola,I'm leaving the company. I don't know when I will be back,if the CEO comes let's him know that"Raphael said

" Okay but there's some files that needed to be work on, I'm supposed to take them to the resources department later"Tola replied

" Just drop them in my office,let them know I have an emergency and I will tend to them later"Raphael said walking away,he didn't wait for Tola's reply

He went inside his car and ride out of the company heading to the hospital immediately,as soon as he entered the hospital he saw Kike and the twins sitting in the lobby together

"Raphael!" Kike said as soon as he saw Raphael standing up,tears welled up in her eyes immediately and run over to meet him. Raphael embraced her in a hug as she started crying again

"I was so scared" Kike said crying

"It's okay" he said "where's the doctor?"

"In his office" Kike replied

" Okay,you should wait for me. I will be back very soon"Raphael said and went to the doctor's office. He knocked on the his door as soon as he arrived at the office

"Come in" he heard the doctor's voice and went inside the office

" Oh"the doctor said as soon as he saw Raphael coming inside the office

"Good morning doctor" Raphael greeted

"Good morning,please sit" the doctor said and Raphael sat down

"I received a call that Nnenna is late"Raphael said

" Yes, she had some complications. The girl's body is weak and her body isn't fighting for her anymore even with the surgery it wasn't enough"the doctor replied

" Okay, I will find a way to come and take the body immediately"Raphael replied

" Where is her sister?"The doctor asked

" She had an accident and was admitted in a nearby hospital,she's not aware of her sister's condition at the moment"Raphael replied

" Okay. I'm really sorry sir,for the lost" The doctor said

"Thank you" Raphael replied standing up and shaking the doctor's hand,he opened the door going outside to meet Kike when his phone suddenly started ringing,he took the call

"Hello" he says

"Good morning sir,I'm sorry for disturbing you. We just wanted you to know the patient have waking up,she's requesting on seeing her sister"the caller said. Raphael swallowed taking in a deep breathe to calm down his shaking heart

"Okay,please calm her down. I will be there as soon as I can"Raphael replied

" Okay"the caller said before the call came to an end

Raphael went over to meet Kike and met her sitting with the twins

"I have talked to the doctor,I think it's better we take Nnenna's body to the mortuary first until Rose is aware about it"Raphael said

" Okay"Kike replied nodding

" Do you mind taking the twins to my house,there's food in the house so that they can eat and have their bath"Raphael asked

" I don't mind at all"Kike said and Raphael gave her a grateful smile

"Lemme settle everything here then I will take you to my house"Raphael said and Kike nodded. Raphael sighed before leaving them.

Almost an hour later Raphael was done setting everything up, Nnenna's body was successfully kept in the mortuary before they left the hospital heading to Raphael's house, he parked his car in his compound. They came down from the car heading towards the house. They entered with Kike looking around the house in an awe. Raphael's house is worth drooling for all thanks to Jide

"Please make sure they eat well, there's some snacks and juice in the fridge let them have their fill too. And please find something to eat too"Raphael said

" Okay, I will"Kike said and Raphael ruffle the twins hair before leaving the house. He went inside his car and sighed hitting his head on the steering wheel, he is not sure how he's going to face Rose. He is happy she woke up but at thesame time wished she had stayed unconscious awhile longer so that he can gather his thinking and know what he will tell her

He sighed nevertheless driving out of his house heading to the hospital,the ride to the hospital was shorter than he wanted but he got no choice. He came down from his car and head inside the hospital,he saw the nurse in charge of Rose immediately

"Good afternoon" Raphael greeted

"Good afternoon,the patient is awake waiting for you. She have refuse to take anything until she talk to you, she have been disturbing us to let her go. She wants to see her little sister"the nurse said

" Thank you"Raphael replied scratching the back of his head,he had never felt so scared meeting Rose like the way he is currently. He walk slowly inside the room as if it will help him

"Raphael!" Rose said immediately she set her eyes on Raphael

"How are you feeling?" Raphael asked touching her forehead

"I'm okay,I have to leave here Raphael. I had a bad dream about Nnenna I have to see her"Rose said tears falling from her eyes

" You have to calm down Rose,you had an internal injury and little things can cause complications"Raphael said

" I'm very okay now,I want to be discharged as soon as possible"Rose said

" I will talk to the doctor then"Raphael said kissing her forehead before standing up

"Did you check up on Nnenna today? How is she feeling?"Rose suddenly asked halting Raphael's step. He didn't know what to say and kept mute "Raphael? Raphael I'm talking to you" Rose added, Raphael turn faking her smile at her

" Have you eaten,you look pale?" Raphael asked trying to divert her attention

" I am not really hungry"Rose replied taking the bait

"Well you have to eat,I will get you some food after talking to the doctor, alright?"Raphael asked

" Alright"Rose replied. Raphael walk out of the room heading to the doctor's office,he knocked on the office door when he arrived at the doctor's office

"Come in" he heard the doctor said and pushed the door open. He went inside and sat on the seat

"Thank you doctor,she's awake" Raphael said and the doctor smiled

" Yes,I checked on her earlier she's okay to go home please be careful she might have concussion easily and make sure she takes her drugs steadily"the doctor said

" Thank you sir"Raphael said

" You're welcome. You can meet the receptionist for the bill and pay at the cashier's office"The doctor said

" I will do just that"Raphael said before leaving the office.

He went to the receptionist and did as the doctor requested,he left the hospital and look for a good restaurant buying jollof rice and fanta for Rose. He went back inside the hospital and met Rose laying on the bed with her eyes close

"You should eat" Raphael said and Rose opened her eyes,she quietly sat down. Raphael took the take away from the disposable bag handing it over to Rose,Rose opened it and collected the spoon from Raphael before she started eating

"Hope you like it?" Raphael asked when Rose was half way through the food

"Can you answer my question now?,I know you have been avoiding it"Rose asked pushing the rice away

" You should eat everything"Raphael said

"I'm full" Rose said. Raphael nodded handing over the fanta to her. She opened it and took a sip from it "Give me the water" Rose said pointing at the table water beside Raphael. Raphael gave it to her collecting the fanta from her. Rose drank the water and dropped the bottle

"So now answer my question, how is Nnenna and stop avoiding my question, I have to know how my sister is doing and also when she's leaving the hospital. I have to get ready and take her home and take care of her"Rose said her eyes having moistures. Raphael's heart clenched as he prepare himself to break the news to her

"Rose" Raphael said sitting closer to her and holding her hand "my love"

"You're scaring me,how is she? I have to see her?!" Rose said standing up. Raphael stood up too holding her hand and drawing her closer

"Nnenna is dead"Raphael said squeezing his eyes shut,there was a long pause before Rose pull his hands away from Raphael

"I don't understand you" Rose said looking around

" Nnenna is dead Rose,we lost her this morning" Raphael said and Rose shouted before fainting

"Rose!"
