Throughout the ride to the hospital, Black had wondered who is this good samaritan that paid for the bills, she couldn't be more grateful for the fact her manager didn't later sleep with her although she couldn't have prevented him from seeing her nakedness and she also knows that she had lost her job. She never wished to be a stripper,when her parents just died she took a job at an eatery as Nnenna's condition worsens the meagerly pay wasn't enough to take care of the bills anymore and opted for the club where she received money five times better than what she is paid in the eatery.

Her hands continue shaking and she continue saying words of prayer even though she don't believe in God anymore,she felt betrayed and never thought about going to church.

The enormous building of the hospital came into view soon enough she came down from the taxi immediately paying for the taxi before rushing inside the hospital. She went over to meet the receptionist immediately

"Good evening,please where is the doctor?"Black asked

"He's in his office waiting for you"The receptionist replied,Black nodded and head to the doctor's office immediately,she knocked on the door and heard a faint come in before she entered

"Please sit"the doctor said as soon as his eyes landed on Black. Black seated

"Well we need your signature immediately,even with the oxygen planted on her recently she's still having difficulty in breathing. The operation have to start right away"the doctor said

"Okay sir"Black replied and signed on the paper provided to her by the doctor "please who is this person, I want to thank him or her"

"I think he is in your sister's ward. Your sister is really a lucky one"The doctor said and she nodded smiling sadly.

She left the doctor's office thesame time he took his office phone to call on the nurses to get the patient ready for the operating.

Black went straight to her sister's ward and met the nurses are already there wheeling her out of the room to the operation room. Black asked them to stopped and went closer to her sister kissing her forehead

"Please fight for me,the world is not complete without you in it"Black muttered before they wheel her away,she look around looking for the twins and decided to go around the hospital to see if they were playing.

Her steps slow down when her eyes landed on Raphael,not just him but also holding the twins hands and their other hand holding an ice-cream

Black took a step forward as a tear escaped her eyes "you're the good samaritan?"Black asked and Raphael hung his head down,he knew Black might get angry and feel betrayed,she might even get angrier thinking he was stalking her.

The twins left them heading back inside the ward, Raphael cracked his throat before talking

"I'm so sorry, I knew you're going to get angry but when I came and I saw her condition I could...."Raphael's words were cut short as Black pulled him into an hug

"Thank you! Thank you so much, you don't know what you just did for me. How will I ever be able to repay you"Black said and bursted into tears "I had lost all hope,I was willing to do anything just to raise that money but you help me,I can never thank you enough"

"It's okay. I would do anything for you. I love you so much that your pain is my own pain too"Raphael said and Black watched him in awe. She didn't know where the confidence came from and dragged Raphael closer kissing him. Raphael didn't waste time kissing her back

This wasn't the reaction he was expecting from her, he had thought she would have shouted at him and ask him never to meddle with her issues but with this reaction he felt complete,he felt like he had done the right thing and he is extremely happy because she is. He wrapped his hands around Black before ending the kiss. Black slumped on the ground and started crying, Raphael got scared immediately

"You don't know what this means to me"she said in between hiccups. Raphael's heart calm down after realising she was shedding tears of joy. He knelt beside her

"We should just pray right now the operation goes well"Raphael said and Black nodded standing up

It's been hours Jide and Kike returned to the house, Moreni was scared of talking to Jide and decided to be in Kike's room for the main time.

"You should talk to him"Kike said dropping her book. She's having an exam the next day

"I'm scared"Moreni said wiping a tear away from her eyes. She can't believe everything she had worked for is about collapsing

"You shouldn't be, talk to him. Every relationship only prosper when there is communication and also I have to study, your hiccuping is disturbing me"Kike said and Moreni sighed standing up.

She decided to talk to Jide,she left Kike's room and headed to the room she shares with Jide. She went inside and met him on his phone. She slowly sat beside him on the bed. Jide ignored her.

"Jide?"Moreni called with a small voice, Jide ignored her "Jide please let's talk"

"I'm listening"Jide replied

"I'm sorry for acting like I didn't know the person that send the message to you, he is my ex boyfriend. I dated him before we met and he saw me recently and wanted us to continue from where we stopped,I told him I am engaged and he said okay. He acted like he was okay with it, I swear I don't know where he got your contact from and also it was surprising because he didn't show me he was going to do this,he acted as if he was okay with the fact I'm getting married soon"Moreni half lied

"You could have made everything easier by telling me this when I confronted you about the message"Jide said and Moreni sighed

"I was scared of your reaction"Moreni replied

"I don't understand you. Scared of my reaction? Have I ever raise my hand on you or have I ever not listened to you. Which of these are you scared of?"Jide asked

"I'm sorry,I don't know what's wrong with me. Please forgive me"Moreni said and Jide rubbed his temples

"Next time just be straight forward and tell me what's going on,okay?"Jide
Says

"Okay"Moreni said smiling. She went closer to Jide hugging him,Jide hugged her back

"Let's go and eat"Moreni said and Jide dropped his phone

"Okay"he replied

Moreni left the house as early as seven, she was supposed to go to her working place but decided to branch at Timothy's house before going to her working place,she didn't mind she was already late. The anger bubbling inside her doesn't let her know what's she doing.

She knocked severally at his door before the door was opened,he saw Timothy clad only on boxer and it's obvious he is just waking up from sleep

"Agape"He said as soon as his eyes landed on Moreni

"You devil! Don't dare Agape me. How dare you send such message to my fiance, what gave you the audacity and where did you get his contact from?!"Moreni said looking very angry

"Will you calm down?!"Timothy shouted

"I won't! I can't calm down, as you're seeing me right now. I swear to God that created us I fit mad for you here. You're trying me,it's because I have been lenient with you that's why you had the audacity to do that!"Moreni shouted

"Agape!"Timothy shouted trying to calm her down and talk

"If I hear my name from your filthy mouth again,I don't have your time right now. I have work to go to but trust me Timothy, the next time you try this kind of shit with me. I'm going to deal with you!"Moreni said before walking out of the house without sparing Timothy another look

Kike was rounding up her the exam she's currently writing,she look up to see Rose submitting her question paper. She round up immediately and left the exam hall.

She saw Rose standing under the mango tree near to the exam hall. She jogged over to meet her and met her all smiling

"How was the exam?"Kike asked

"It was very okay"Rose said smiling.

"You look happy today,what's up?"Kike asked

"Well, my sister's operation went successfully and she can breathe again"Rose said chuckling

"That's a good news. I would love to see her"Kike replied

"She's still at the hospital,hope you won't mind"Rose said and Kike smiled softly

"Definitely not. I should have come earlier"Kike said and Rose waved it off with her hand

"I was about going to the hospital,hope you won't mind?"Rose asked

"Definitely not"Kike said and Rose nodded.

"Okay, I have to get some fruit to the hospital and also are you hungry? I can get something prepared for you"Rose said and Kike smiled, she wondered how Rose is able to worry about the state of her stomach in any circumstances

"I'm craving for meat pie. We can get it on our to the hospital"Kike said

"Hearing the name alone gets my mouth watering. Let's go get it"Rose said and Kike chuckled

They left the school compound and took a taxi to the nearest eatery, they bought the meat pie and decided to get ice-cream too before heading to the hospital.

They both came down from the taxi and Kike paid for the fee. They went inside the hospital and met Rose sister sleeping

"It looks like she's asleep"Kike said and the patient suddenly stir opening her eyes

"Chi"she said

"How are you feeling?"Rose asked

"Very weak"

"You will get better soon. Kike meet my little sister Nnenna and Nnenna meet my friend Kike"Rose introduced

"How are you feeling?"Kike asked

"I'm fine"Nnenna replied

"The boys are not yet back from school?"Rose asked

"No. They should be here any minute"Nnenna replied slightly coughing

"Take it easy. So bad you can't eat, I bought meat pie and Ice cream for the boys"Rose teased

"I will pretend I didn't just heard that" Nnenna said making Kike and Rose to burst into laughter. The door suddenly opened revealing the twins. They ran inside immediately they saw their big sister embracing her, they turn and saw a new face they haven't seen before and greeted

"Good afternoon ma"they says in unison

"Good afternoon"Kike said smiling at them

"How was school today?"Rose asked

"It was okay"they said in unison again. Rose smiled and took the disposable plastic bag beside her and handed it to them. They opened it and saw meat pie and ice cream and squealed. Kike watched them with so much adoration and found herself smiling.

The door suddenly opened jolting her from her beautiful thought,she look up and saw the last person she expects to see in the hospital especially in Rose's younger sister hospital room

"Brother Raphael!"

"Kike!"

They both said at once, Rose turn to look at Kike and then at Raphael not understanding the sudden outburst

"You two know each other?"Rose asked

"Yes"they both said at once

Rose look at them again, obviously giving them the look that shows they should start explaining themselves
