Meliodas explained to me as the bar moved location that they were collecting the Seven Deadly sins together again. It took a while for me to get used to it but now I wasn't falling over every step I take when the floor jerks. He told me that we were going to the capital of the dead, where they thought "King" would be.

"Who's King?" I ask, sipping a glass of ale. Meliodas had been really kind and given me a free one.

"The fairy king, Harlequin," Diane says, leaning down to look into the window, "But he calls himself King now."

'He sounds familiar. Haven't heard the name in years though.' I mutter in my head, staring down into the alcohol in front of me.

"Do you know him? You're a fairy as well, after all," Meliodas asks, sitting opposite me with Elizabeth. I shake my head.

"I haven't heard of him in years. Didn't even know he was still alive." I respond, maybe a bit too quickly. Meliodas frowns at me, but doesn't say anything. I finish the drink and push it towards him, then stand up and head for the door. I fly up beside Diane and we travel in silence for a while before I sigh loudly.

"Do you know something?" Diane asks, not unkindly. I shake my head.

"I can feel something in the back of my head, but I can't remember."

"Well, we're here, so you may remember when you see him."

I was with Ban. For some reason. He kept making snarky and rude comments whenever I talked, so I just kept back and floated above him - not high enough to lose sight of him from the bottom of my vision, but high enough to get a better vantage point. Suddenly, my eyes fall on a cowering shadow behind an arch. I float down to Ban's level and point towards it. He nods at me before strolling over there at a leisurely pace.

"Oi, King, is that you?" he calls, leaning around the stones. His eyes widen momentarily before returning to normal and I float around behind him. A little girl was sitting there, her eyes wide with fear, and she was silently trembling. I push Ban out of the way, landing on the grass and kneeling before her.

"Are you okay, kid?" I ask gently, placing my hand on her shoulder. She looks up at me in surprise and I notice tears running down her face. She leaps forwards suddenly and throws her arms around my neck, sobbing into my shoulder. Ban clicks his tongue and looks away. I wrap my arms around her in return, then flinch as someone shouts.

"Hey, get away from my sister!"

A large rock flies towards me with surprising speed and accuracy. I flinch and close my eyes, but Ban catches it as soon as it's about to fly into my face. I stand up, the girl hanging from my neck, and gently take her off. I kneel beside her again as Ban has basically a shouting match with the other kid.

"Is that your brother?" I ask, nodding at the boy. The girl nods shyly.

"Do you want to go to him?" I continue. She nods again. I take her hand and lead her over to the boy.

"She was crying. We only wanted to help, sorry for the trouble," I apologise, bowing to the boy as he holds his sister. He looks surprised at my formal and tame behaviour compared to the swearing, scruffy old man behind me. I raise my head and look at Ban.

"They look hungry. Could we give them some food?" I ask, not entirely sure if I should be asking this. I still needed to find out where I stand compared to the Sins. Ban considers it for a few seconds before clicking his tongue again and turning away.

"Fine, but they had better not-"

Then a spear from the sky impales him. I leap forwards to put my body between whoever threw the spear and the kids behind me, now clinging to eachother and on the verge of screaming. Someone floats down from the sky and lands on the spear, standing on it while it's still embedded in Ban's chest. My eyes widen in recognition.

"Harlequin!" I shout in surprise, taking a hesitant step forwards. He looks up and his eyes lock with mine.

"Who are you?" he asks, tilting his face in confusion and raising one eyebrow. Then his attention turns back to Ban as the larger man pushes the spear out of himself. As I watch, the wound in his chest begins to close up.

"Undead Ban. I would say it's nice to see you again, but that would be a lie." Harlequin says, flying up higher. Suddenly, Meliodas and Diane appear, startling the fairy. He quickly flees and I move to take off after him, but Ban holds me back.

"Take care of the kids first. They might be able to tell us something." he says, surprising me.

"Since when do you care about kids?"

~

After we fed them, the children told us how to get into the capital of the dead. I still wasn't sure why we needed to go in there though. Nonetheless, I followed them to a flower field. Hawk the pig snorted disdainfully and the petals of the flowers flew into the wind, but something was up. They didn't behave like normal petals. They swirled around us and I realised at that exact moment what had happened.

"We're being teleported-" I shout, then cry out as the ground below me falls away.

~

I land painfully on a hard substance, some kind of crystal. Something sharp sticks into the ground next to my head and I instinctively roll away, just as Meliodas was about to land on me. The sword from his scabbard had fallen out. He lands much more gracefully than I did, on his feet, and he helps me up to mine. However, on the way up, he touches the butt.

I float into the air, far out of his reach, and survey our surroundings. It seemed as though we had been transported to a barren landscape, the sand below us coloured grey and the crystals around us a light, transparent green. Suddenly, a white figure appears behind one of the crystals. Ban leaps towards it, not saying a single word to us, and I notice Harlequin flying after him overhead.

I'm about to fly after them when something sharp and heavy slams into my back. I scream, feeling the point get driven into my stomach, then the pressure is released and I'm pulled to my feet, behind Meliodas. He had his broken sword out and was facing a woman we didn't know, holding a lance.

"Hawk, take Elizabeth away from here," Meliodas commands, "(Y/N), can you still fight?"

"Yeah, I can. Thanks for the help," I say, tearing off a strip of my shirt and tying it around my wound. He nods and then leaps towards the woman as Hawk carries Elizabeth away from here. A few seconds later, Meliodas flies over Diane's head. I only just manage to shoot into the air and collide with him enough to stop him from flying too far away and losing us. I was holding him by his shoulders and quickly lowered him to the ground, determined to defeat this enemy.

"My name is Guila, one of the Holy Knights. And I presume that you're Meliodas, captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, the Dragon's wrath, and you're Diane, the Serpent's Envy?"

"I'm here too..." I mutter, annoyed. The knight turns to look at me.

"And... someone else."

I sigh heavily. Guila senses an opening and leaps forwards, sending both Meliodas and Diane flying. Then she turns to me and throws me in the opposite direction. I roll head-over-heels for about thirty whole seconds before I finally come to a halt, high up in the air, the ground below me rolling around like an angry sea. I float to the ground and lay there for a few seconds, waiting for the dizziness to pass, before hearing Harlequin's voice.

"Harlequin... Harlequin!" I call. The spinning was worse than I thought and I couldn't stand up. In fact, I could barely even see straight. I could hear him shouting now, sounding anguished, and made out the name "Elaine."

After a few minutes, the voices stop. I was left in silence. A shadow flies over me and stops some distance away, then becomes larger. I felt Harlequin approaching me.

"What are you doing down there?" he asks, confused.

"I got thrown and spun around for almost thirty seconds at high velocity and now I can barely see straight," I explain, slowly getting to my feet and swaying there for a few seconds. He grabs my arm and pulls me into the air, expecting me to be heavy but surprised when I only weight a little less than he does.

"Are you a fairy too?" he asks, slowly increasing his speed as I activate my own power to keep up with him.

"Yeah."

"Where's your wings?"

"Where's yours?"

He contemplates this for a few seconds before giving up and remaining silent. I had always guessed that some fairies were born without wings, but based on his reaction, it seemed like he hadn't met another fairy that could fly without wings. We reach the battlefield and Harlequin thrusts his spear through Ban to attack Guila.

"About time you two showed up! Where were you?!" Diane asks angrily, attempting to punch Guila.

"I was trying to stand up. Never underestimate the power of dizziness," I say, shaking my head. All the effects had passed now and I was ready to continue the fight. However, King grabbed my arm just as I was about to fly forwards and attack Guila.

"Leave this to me. You're injured," he says. I had forgotten the hole in me until now and suddenly, a bolt of pain stabs through me. I waver in the air, falling a little bit, clutching my stomach in pain, knowing I should be tougher than this, knowing that I shouldn't just give up so easily. I wanted to fight, still. As if reading my thoughts, Harlequin elbows me in the back of my head, making me fall further. Stars dot my vision and I knew I wouldn't be able to fight any more.

"You're an asshole, Harlequin," I murmur, wincing, my eyes half closed on the ground.

"Call me King." he says, almost cheerily, then turns back to Guila. She darts towards him, glowing orange balls spewing from the tip of her lance. I watch as they explode brilliantly, making me squint further. Ban walks over to me and tosses me onto his shoulder, carrying me back to the relative safety of being near the rest of the Sins. They were sitting leisurely like there wasn't a holy knight in front of them.

I'll admit, I was worried for King. I didn't know how powerful he was and this holy knight seemed really strong. Turns out I was worried for no reason though, King completely owned the knight. As he floated back down to us I smiled and clapped for him, causing his ears to turn red and to avert his eyes, smiling shyly and rubbing the back of his head.

"I didn't do much..." he says, helping me to my feet. I laugh.

"Still did better than captain and Ban-"

"HEY!!"

I giggle at Ban's outburst, then stop as a light, tingling feeling spreads through my body.

"W-What's happening?" I ask, walking backwards until I press my back to a crystal, staring at my dissolving hands. I really hated this feeling, whatever it was. King quickly flew to my side, about to support me, when his hands suddenly turn translucent as well. Meliodas was busy groping Elizabeth's boobs at the moment, and I figure out we're teleporting back. Before I can say anything, I finish teleporting and arrive before anyone else. The holy knight we fought had her hand jabbed into her heart, and I think she was unconscious.

I nervously walk towards her, then wave my hand in front of her face. She didn't react at all. The thump of bodies hitting the ground makes me turn around, then laugh at King almost crushed in a pile underneath Ban and Elizabeth. I pull him free, then bind the holy knight to a tree.

"Wait, before we leave..." Meliodas says sinisterly, producing a marker from literally nowhere.

"Where did that come from...?" I ask quietly, watching as he grins evilly and approaches the knight, his marker raised threateningly.
