Ghosts
**ITS SCARY**
I had never seen a ghost before. But like they say, there's a first time for everything.
I was home alone when it happened. Both of my parents had gone to a wedding and decided to stay overnight. Instead of staying at a friend's house, I thought it would be fun to have the house to myself. That was my first mistake.
Staying up extremely late was my second mistake. After hours of watching meaningless videos online, I decided 0it was time to call it a night. I stumbled into the kitchen to start turning out the lights, my mind in desperate need of sleep. That's when I saw it. It was quick, nothing more than a tiny flicker of movement. But, it was definitely there. It was like whatever was there was just out of my sight. Like it was hiding in the shadows in the edges of my vision.
"This can't be happening. It's not possible." I chanted those lines to myself as I slowly spun around, waiting for something to emerge from the darkness. Suddenly, I heard a noise coming from just behind me. It was the soft in and out pattern of someone, no something, breathing down my neck.
I stood frozen in fear. I couldn't move, couldn't think. My breath caught in my throat and my mind raced. A chill washed through the air and it felt like the silence was crushing me. Slowly, I spun around to face whatever was behind me. There was nothing there. What was happening to me? I was going insane. I had to be.
My anxiety was going into overdrive and I started to shake uncontrollably. I was about to run to the safety of my bedroom when I heard more noises. This time it was the quiet pitter patter of footsteps. That's when the lights went out.
I was left disoriented and terrified in the darkness. I tried desperately to feel for the light switch, but it was hopeless. How could this be happening?
Soon, the lights flashed back on and I came face-to-face with something that was straight out of a horror movie. There stood a woman with a flickering form in a tattered black dress. Dark, knotted hair hung over her shoulders and completely covered her face. Her white skin was striking against the inky black material of her dress and the mop of curls on her head. The only color that was on her was the bright red substance that covered her pale hands.
Everything was still and completely silent for a few horrifying moments. Suddenly, she rushed at me, moving at what seemed like the speed of sound. Then there was nothing. Just darkness.
So...yeah I just gave myself a few nightmares! I hope you guys enjoyed and get some sleep tonight! Also the song doesn't really have much to do with the story but it's kinda creepy and I love Sweeney Todd. So, don't forget to vote and leave a comment (love reading the comments) Love you guys!!
