Comprehension
Everyone learns differently.
The world is saying that we are different, but doesn't really agree with being different . You have to be the same to fit in they say. You have to act a certain way or be a certain way to be popular. If being different was a bad thing than my younger and shy self shouldn't have been popular. Everyone knew me! It was great because kids would come to me for anything and it felt so good to help others.
The same way in school, everyone learns differently. Teachers say it, but do they really do anything about it? How can they? They have fifteen to twenty students, some times more, and they have to make sure each student is on the same level? Very hard to do.
That's why I loved being homeschooled. It was one on one and I could comprehend what I was learning without the stress of deadlines, mean teachers, and even meaner classmates. I went through college at the top of my class. I'm getting ready for a two year program that's hardcore from what I've heard.
If you have trouble in school comprehending something? Find a tutor to help you one on one. You think you're stupid for not getting it? You think that makes you stupid when you don't comprehend what your teacher teaches? You are wrong. You are smart to know that you need help and you get some.
Getting help isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength. You need help? Ask.
By getting tutoring help, you have an advantage that your classmates don't have. You have at least one other person by you to help you and who is on your side.
If you have comprehensive problems, remember that most of the people who have made history didn't go to school or failed school. But that doesn't mean you don't try. Don't give up. Don't give in. Need help? Seek and ask. You never know how it is until you try it.
I had tutored a few students and let me tell you, they thought they were stupid only they were so brilliant. And they didn't know it.
