Bill's POV
She likes me? She likes me... But why? Oh, whatever! I have to step up my game and show her how much she means to me!
I head my way back to the woods to ponder on how to do this.
"What about.. No... How about!! .. No." He flopped on his back screaming, "THIS IS HOPELESS!!".
"What is?", the face above him asked.
"Oh? Shooting star. What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to tell you the great news!!!". I stood there and waited, already knowing.
As Mabel explained the more I stared at her. The way her face lit up. The way her eyes sparkled in the moon light. How her laugh made me, well, happy. Something I haven't felt for a long time before I got to know her. I want-
"Bill??? Are you okay??"
"HUH?! Yeah. I'm fine. Sorry, I got interested."
"Oh. It was nothing important". She blushed a bit.
"Everything you say is important." I grabbed her hand. I think I found out how to show her how she means so much to me. "Mabel Pines.. Will you marry me?" Her eyes as wide as marbles. "I don't have a ring yet.. But I'll get one!!! And I'll try to get your brother and gruncles approval. We can live in Gravity Falls if you want!! And have a child or-"
"Bill", She let go of my hand, "you mean a lot to me.. But not enough to get married right away. Can we get to know each other more?".
"Of course!!!"
And we talked that whole night about different things. Things that were important to us. Things that were stupid. We even talked about the future. Well.. At least I did.
As time went on, she denied my proposal. She never really said no. But once she got married, I knew her answer. She was with many guys after I asked, but I still believed I had a chance. Why did I fall in love with her? How could I let some human... hurt.. me like this? I wanted you forever. You were my love. My shooting star.
