Curious Keeps This Cat Alive

Curiosity kills the cat. We've all heard this common saying. I think a lot of us can even agree that it holds merit.

As a naturally curious person, curiosity could have been my downfall on multiple occasions. Curiosity could have killed me that time I heard a loud bang at a cottage and decide to investigate by myself.

But while my curiosity can be blamed for certain negative situations I've lived, I also have my sense of curiosity to thank for my joy of living.

It's curiosity that helps me maintain hope and positivity.

Part of the reason that in my darkest moments, I've never considered choosing to feel nothing over the pain, is because I was curious. Curious to see how tomorrow would go. Curious to see if things could get better.

Curiosity doesn't always have to be bad.

Curiosity doesn't have to kill the cat. It can keep it alive too.

Curiosity can sometimes bring about a greater love for life.

We all know that human life on earth is temporay. We know that one day it'll end, but until then I want to live and see the most of it.

If life is to throw me some curve balls, as it tends to do, I want to push ahead by reminding myself that the future is unknown.

I know that that can be easier said than done. Some situations can feel impossible to push through. Certain things you can never fully heal from.

But that doesn't mean that I have to lose my curiosity or hope for tomorrow.

No matter how unrealistic, who's to say that I won't wake to find a unicorn in my room tomorrow morning? It probably wouldn't fix my problems, but it would definitely be an unforgettable experience.

There can be great fear in the unknown, but it can equally be exciting. Because the unknown leaves room for endless possibilities.

      Let yourself explore your curiosity.

Let curiosity flicker the flame of excitement for tomorrow.
