Y/N'S POV

I watched as Tae appeared in the living room just long enough to bring a girl inside before he disappeared back into his room once again.

I knew right away what was going down and although I wasn't very fond of it happening here, I didn't say anything. As I had said before, as long as it wasn't happening all the time, I didn't care. It's his work, it's how he pays for his half of the rent so, so be it. He can do as he pleases, literally.

After about an hour or so, he reappears in the living room wearing nothing but a pair of loose black shorts. Beside him is the same girl but now with very smudged makeup and very messy hair. I guess they had a great time, luckily I made sure I had my tv up loud enough to not hear it, just in case.

They say their goodbyes before it's once again just the two of us. Tae turns to me as he itches the back of his head. "It doesn't bother you when I bring a co worker over does it?"

I look over at him, confused on why he thought to ask me after the fact and not before. Still, I shake my head. "As long as it's not a daily thing it's whatever. You do you, bud."

Tae stares at me for a moment, his eyes somewhat hooded. Then he hums a soft okay before retreating back to his room.

I looked over at Tannie who was laying beside me on the couch. I was surprised he seemed to spend more time with me then Tae but I didn't question it. I like Tannie so I'm glad he likes me too. On the other hand, I still wasn't sure if his owner liked me.

Sure, Tae and I are starting to become more comfortable with one another, but I still feel like there's some weird wall up between us, something that keeps us from actually being friends.

I was pulled out of my thoughts as I got a notification from Instagram. When I opened it, I saw that Jin had followed me. Instantly, I sighed. I wanted to get to know him more but I kept thinking about what Tae had said...

He said it would be weird if I dated Jin and then he said it was fine. I didn't know which one he meant and I didn't want to make him uncomfortable or make things between us even weirder.

For now, I left the notification alone and decided I'd head to my room and get ready for bed. Maybe tomorrow would be a better day...hopefully.

As I stood up, Tannie hopped off the couch, following behind me. He hadn't slept in my room before and I wasn't sure if Tae wanted him to. That being said, I pivoted towards Tae's room and I knock.

After a second he yells come in so I open the door, watching as Tannie ran inside and hopped up onto Tae's bed. "What's up?" He asks but now it didn't matter.

"Well Tannie was following me to my room and I wasn't sure if you cared where he slept but he seemed to want in here more." I say and Tae looks over at Tannie who had gotten comfy already.

"No it doesn't matter, for future reference. If he wants to sleep in your room that's fine." Tae says and I nod, watching Tannie for a moment before I step back. "Well, I'll leave you to it. I'm gonna head to bed." I say as Tae starts to pet Tannie.

"Alright, goodnight." He says and just as I go to shut the door to the room, he speaks suddenly. "Actually-" I stop, turning my attention back to him. "Yeah?"

Tae stared at me for a moment like he was iffy on what he wanted to say next. My brows raised as I waited for him to speak, confused as to what he was going to say.

"Do you want to hang out tomorrow? Maybe get dinner instead of making it here?" He asks and when I stand there, taken back, not having expected him to ask that, he clears his throat. "We don't have to of course! It was just a question." He says and he seems somewhat disappointed that he had to say it.

"No, of course I'd like to hang out." I say, smiling at the fact that he actually wanted to hang out with me. "Are you sure? You can tell me no." He says with a slight laugh but I shake my head.

"I want to! I've been kinda hoping we could, honestly. I would love for us to be friends. We're roommates after all and since we're gonna be living together it would be nice if we could make a friend out of it too." I say and I see Tae smile but it seemed somewhat forced.

I couldn't read him. One minute he seemed to want to be friends and the next it didn't seem that way at all...I wasn't sure what his goal was but it was definitely confusing.

"Yeah, definitely. Then tomorrow is good? You don't work?" Tae asks and I shrug. "I work early in the morning but I should be off at a decent time and we can go then." I say and Tae nods before we end off the conversation with our goodnights.

I then head back to my room and get ready for bed. I was looking forward to tomorrow and I hoped something good would come out of it.

Worst case scenario, we don't become friends...but at least if anything,

We'll always be roommates.
