Y/N'S POV💚

The following day Tae said he had a special day planned and to keep the whole day open.

I was nervous to find out why he was acting so suspicious and on edge but I didn't question it.

I just figured he had a lot on his plate for the day and was anxious about it. I didn't let myself think too much into it.

As Tae was hidden away in his room, he told me to get ready and to dress comfy. I had no idea where we were going but it was pretty damn early.

He had woken me up with breakfast in bed at fucking 7am. Don't get me wrong, I was appreciative but 7am, really...I try to avoid having to function this early!

Still, he said we had a really big day ahead of us so of course, I was going along with it. As long as Tae's happy, I'm happy. So I'd do whatever he wanted today.

Even if that meant me being up at 7am when all I wanted to do was sleep.

After I finished getting ready I waited out in the living room for Tae who seemed to still be locked away in his room.

I wasn't sure what he was doing but I could hear him pacing back and forth and even mumbling to himself.

He was definitely acting strange today and that made me feel on edge.

Finally, Tae emerged from his room and joined my side.

"Ready for a day of fun?" He grinned, flashing a bright boxy smile in my direction.

His smile made me forget all about how early he had woken me up.

"Absolutely."

First, we went to my favorite stores, where Tae ushered me to buy whatever I wanted. Then we went to my favorite restaurant for lunch, which he also ushered me to get whatever I wanted.

During all of this he still seemed super on edge, as if he had something to say but was terrified to say it.

Next we went to the movies where he insisted I pick the seats and all of my favorite snacks. During the movie he kept looking from me, to the screen, at his hands, then back at me.

I could feel his nerves rolling over onto me like harsh waves.

By time the movie was over it was going on 3pm and he still had more things up his sleeve. We were really having an all day little fun day, clearly catered to only me.

Every time I would suggest going somewhere Tae liked, he shut it down and suggested a place that I like.

I wasn't sure why he was doing this but I didn't question it. I figured he just wanted to do something nice for me and I could appreciate that so I didn't say anything and just went along with it.

Finally, after hours on hours of shopping and eating and watching, we finally stopped at some nearby park right by the water.

Tae laid down a blanket he had bought when we were out and we sat down, sitting right next to the beautiful view.

"This is so pretty." I smile, admiring the way the lights reflected off the water.

"Very." Tae smiles and even though this was super peaceful and relaxing, I could see him shifting and fidgeting with his hands.

"Okay, I can't hold back any longer. Why are you so on edge today? You've been on the verge of losing it all day today. What's the matter?" I ask, not being able to stand it anymore.

I was dying to know what had this man so anxious.

"Nothings the matter! Everything is great I'm okay! It's fine!" Tae says, but his tone of voice says other wise.

"Taehyung..." I say, leaning closer to him and taking his hands in mine. His eyes snapped up to meet mine.

"What is it?" I ask, my voice soft. I wanted to calm whatever was stressing him out so badly.

Tae bit his bottom lip as he seemed to relax, his gaze getting lost in mine.

"You can tell me anything, I promise. What's the matter?" I ask, running my thumb gently over the back of his hand.

Tae's gaze falls to my hand as he smiles, the feeling of nervousness I've felt coming from him all day seeming to wash away.

He then looked up, his eyes meeting mine again as he uttered out the last thing I had expected him to say.

"I love you, y/n."

I couldn't stop the huge smile that was spreading across my face then.

"That's what you've been so nervous to say all day?" I laugh. Tae looks a little taken back by my response.

"Why do you not seem surprised?" He asks, looking a little worried now.

I smile as I look down at our hands. What I say next has his eyes popping out of his head and his face turning red.

"I was going to tell you the same thing today..."

Tae stared at me with wide eyes as he listens to me say how I was going to confess today too.

I had never expected he was going to do the same thing as me and today of all days.

"You're in love with me too?" He asks, a huge smile making way to his lips.

"Of course I love you, silly. Here I was worried all day you were nervous for some other reason like you were gonna break up with me or something but in reality, we were both just nervous for nothing." I laugh, throwing myself into Tae's arms.

"I'd never break up with you! You should know that! Besides, why would I take you to all your favorite places then break up with you? I'm not a monster." Tae laughs as he squeezes me tightly.

"Well I'm glad we got that cleared up. Now, I think we should definitely get home." I say, pulling away from Tae to meet his eyes.

"Why is that?" He asks, his lips curving up into a grin.

"Because I can't wait another second before I start ripping your clothes off." I say and just like that, Tae is jolting upwards.

Just as he goes to start walking away he turns back and smiles.

"Fuck, I love you."

Just like that, Tae and I lived a happy life together. In the beginning I never would have imagined we'd be here but now that we were, I wouldn't trade it for the world. At the end of the day, the best thing that happened to me, was my secretive roommate.

A/n: I'm sorry this ending is so rushed and probably sucks but the writers block was so real with this one. It started off so strong but I just couldn't for the life of me figure out how to finish it. I had writers block on this story for nearly a month so I'm sorry if the last few chapters sucked. Maybe in the future I'll go back and fix them but for now, this is the end. 🤗
