Summer's POV
After we start talking about the band again. The bell rings, so we all go to lunch. I sit at our table with Hannah.
H- Summer are you ok
S- No (runs away)
I run to the bathroom and Hannah follows me. Then I puke the blood up in the sink. I would have went to a stall but I couldn't wait. It hurt so much
H- SUMMER. What's going on
S-You can't tell anyone. I mean it Hannah
H- Please tell me
S- Im dieing
H- What (starts tearing up)
S- The doctor said it was the first step
H- (hugs her) No Summer you can't die
S- Im sorry Hannah
We just hug for a while and then we decide it's time to go back. It's still lunch so we walk back there. We both sit down and our friends start attacking us with questions
S- We're fine
T- Ok
Most of the lunch I'm just quiet and in pain. It literally feels like hell. But I put a fake smile on. I look up and see Freddy staring at me. He looks like he's staring me down to my soul. I look back down. I then feel someone grab my wrist and drag me away. We finally stop. I look up and see Freddy.
F- What's wrong with you?
S- Nothing Freddy I promise.
F- Sum I know when your lying to me.
S- Why can't you just believe me.
F- BECAUSE SUMMER. YOU LIE ALOT ABOUT IF YOU'RE OK. SUMMER I WANT TO KNOW. I WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH.
S- I lie about what I'm feeling is because it's not a problem you should deal with.
F- Yes it is Summer. All I care about is if you're ok.
S- Well you shouldn't. Freddy why won't you ever get that I'm never going to be ok and you can't help me.
F- I'm willing to do whatever to make sure your ok.
S- Well then you'll have to wait forever then. Cause I will never be ok. I'm always a fucking mess. Will you just understand? I can't be saved. No one can save me. You can try all you want. But I will always be a fucking mess. That's all I am.
I walk away with tears in my eyes. No one can help me. I'm just left to die. Well instead of waiting how about I do it the right way. I walk all the way home. I go upstairs and start the bathtub. I grab my blade. I get into a white T-shirt and basketball shorts. I took them from Tomika. She has a pair because she says that they are super comfortable and she's not wrong. I grab all of the pictures I have of the band and glue then all together in a heart. I put I'm sorry at the bottom. I get into the bathtub and start cutting my arms.
??- SUMMER STOP
Who could that be. I look up and see...
Freddy's Pov
I run back to the courtyard. The whole band and Hannah looks at me.
H- Well.
F- She ran away.
H- Well how fucking dumb are you? You're supposed to follow her.
F- Let's just say. She made it pretty clear that she didn't want anyone going after her.
T- I'm with Hannah. How fucking dumb are you? Freddy. Summer is broken and suicidal and you choose not to follow her after she has a outburst.
H- You don't think she'll?
We all look at each other.
All- Let's go
We run out the courtyard with everyone looking at us. We get to Summer's house. We run upstairs and see some Lady. Tomika gasp and so does Hannah. The lady turns around.
T- Mrs.Hathaway
SM- TOMIKA HANNAH
She runs up and hugs her and Hannah. Me and the guys just stand there confused.
T- What are you doing here?
SM- Saving my daughter from killing herself that's what.
F- Wait?
SM- Ok come on Fredrick you don't remember me.
F- Mrs.Hathaway?
SM- The one and not only.
She comes over and hugs me. I hug back. It's been forever since I've seen her.
H- So how you been?
SM- Not well after I heard my crazy ex-husband trying to kill my daughter and my crazy nephew trying to rape my daughter.
H- He didn't try. He succeed.
We all just look at her and shake our heads. Who Says that at the worst time possible?
H- But then I almost killed his ass. So yea.
SM- I knew you would. So how many fires have you started?
H- Since I saw you last about like 80.
Z- 81
H- The bush does not count.
A- Yea it does.
H- You weren't even there for that babe. But sure act like you know it all.
SM- Hi Anthony.
A- Hi.
T- Where's Summer?
SM- Uh oh yea the hospital. Don't worry I got to her before she did any major damage but she did make his.
She goes into Summer's room and brings out a huge heart. It was all the pictures of the band and us in general. We all smile.
H- She just had to put the ugly picture of me didn't she. Wow. That's the one she just had to use.
T- Not the point Hannah.
H- Well look at it.
SM- Well while you guys fight over that. I'm going to go visit my daughter.
T- I'm coming with ya.
H- We can fight over that ugly as hell picture later. Let's go see Summer.
A- It's not That ugly.
H- Any picture of me is ugly. I'm not that photogenic.
We all just sigh at her. We go downstairs and get in Mrs.Hathaway's car. Which I might add is a limo. Man this lady travels in style. We get to the hospital.
N- Ugh not you again.
SM- I'm sorry but I haven't been here in 10 years.
N- Not you her (points at Hannah)
H- Listen bitch. Don't mess with me. I'll jump your ass.
N- Well maybe you should stop fighting doctors or just coming here in general.
H- That's it.
Hannah trys to jump her but Anthony pulls her back.
A- Im going to take her to the waiting room. (Walks away)
SM- I'm here for Summer Hathaway
N- Relation
SM- Her Mother
N- Wow ok. She is actually about to come out. She only got stitches. So you can just wait here. We'll tell you.
SM- Thanks.
We go and sit in the waiting room with Hannah and Anthony.
SM- Ok what is your problem with this hospital.
H- It's a cheap ass hospital that's it. Ok I've fought them since day one.
SM- Why?
H- Ok so you know how you had me be the one to sign Summer out if there was ever an accident. So they made me sign out but it was on paper. So I got pissed like are you kidding me. You're killing the environment. That doctor was incredibly rude. So I now refer him to Donald Trump jr. I may have also tackled him a few times.
SM- I will never get you.
H- No one will ma'am no one.
Then I see a beautiful blonde come out in a white T-shirt and basketball shorts with bandages wrapped around her arm.
SM- SUMMER
The blonde looks up and her eyes widen. She runs up to her mom and hugs her.
S- Mom your home.
SM- And I'm never leaving again.
They pull away and Summer looks at us and smiles. She waves. Tomika and Hannah run up to her and hug her.
T- Never do that again young lady.
H- I thought you were dead.
S- No not yet and plus you guys are gonna be the ones to kill me.
They let go and mutter a quick sorry. Next was Zack,Lawrence,and Anthony. Zack and Lawrence were both crying even though it wasn't there girlfriends but they are her brother's well not biologically. Anthony did have a few tears but not a lot like Zack and Lawrence. I was honestly a mess. They pull away and walk back. I stand up. She walks up to me.
S- Freddy im-
I just hug her as tight as I can.
F- Never do that to me again princess.
S- I can't make any promises but I'll try.
I pull away confused about what she meant.
T- Can we go home now?
H- I'm with Tomika. I am so sick of this hospital. This is the second building that I absolutely fucking hate.
Z- What's the first one?
H- Any trump tower. Ugh whenever I just look or even hear about it. I just think of ways to bomb it one day.
A- What about the people inside of it?
H- They'll go along with it. I hope Trump is in there when I do it.
She walks out the hospital. We follow her out. We head back to Summer's house. But we all thought that we should give Summer and her mom time to talk. So we decided that we'd all go home. So after we got into the neighborhood we all got out of the car and headed home. Once I got to my house. I went are to bed.
Summer's Pov
I was inside my house on the couch talking to my mom.
SM- Summer I'm so sorry that I left.
S- Mom it's ok. You're here now.
SM- Summer it's not ok. I left in the worst time possible. I will never do it again. Summer I am never leaving you again.
S- What about your job mom?
SM- I got it here. They realized how important my situation was and let me move back here.
S- That's great.
SM- Summer tell me how bad is it?
S- Really bad.
SM- Explain.
S- Uh I might be dieing soon.
I get up and walk to the kitchen.
SM- SUMMER THAT'S SERIOUS. WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT.
S- Nothing mom. It's too far in. I've already started coughing up blood. That's one of the first stages. It'll just keep going until I end up in a coffin.
She runs over and hugs me tightly. We just stand there for a while. Till we hear the door slam open. We pull away and look that way.
