Scarlets pov.

I woke up and did my morning routine. I went downstairs and saw my brother waiting for me in the car. I got in the car.

"Morning sis you ready for school? " he asked and started to drive.

"Yep I am. " I said.

"Okay, what about your project? " he asked.

"I have a couple more days to finish it." I said.

"Alright as long as you get it done on time your good. " he said and we got to school.

"Alright see ya later bro. " I said and got out of the car.

"Alright see ya in a bit if you need anything just call me, okay?" He said.

"Alright bye bro. " I said and closed the door.

I walked into campus and saw Bella with Yumi. They were talking about something. I wondered what it was. They saw me and ran to me.

"Oh my gosh Scarlet have you heard?!" They both said in fusion.

"Heard what? " I asked.

"Everybody is talking about it. How can you not know? " Yumi asked.

"Probably because I just got here." I said.

"Oh your right. " Bella said.

"Are you guys going to tell me what's going on or not? " I asked.

"Okay well it's more like two things. " Bella said.

"Just tell me. " I said.

"Okay so first off is that there is a talent show and the second Jake got in a fight. " Bella said.

"A talent show? This early in the school year? " I asked.

"Yea I know right. " Yumi said.

"Oh today we have to go to English first, right? " I said.

"That's not the point right now. " Bella said.

"Oh well I'm sorry. " I said.

"Oh my gosh it must have been a good fight if Jake looks like that. " Yumi said.

We all looked and saw Jake walk towards us. I just rolled my eyes and looked back at Bella and Yumi.  He put his hand on my shoulder and made me face him.

"Scarlet. " he said.

"Jake?  Your all beat up. " I said acting sweet and innocent.

"Yea and? " he asked.

"How did it go? " I asked.

"Well I beat the guy up. " he said.

"You sure. " I said.

"Yes I am sure. Now come on. " he put his arm around my shoulder.

"Heck no! " I shouted and got his hand off going back to my friends.

"You want to stay with your friends then alright see ya around. " he said and he left along with his friends. I turned around and saw my friends in shock.

"What? " I asked.

"Are you and Jake...? " Bella asked.

"What no! " I said.

"Then why did he put his arm around your shoulder? " Yumi asked.

"Probably because I'm the only girl hasn't fallen for him. " I said and the bell rang.

"Lets get to English. " I said and started walking along with Bella and Yumi.

We got in class and sat down. The bell rang and the teacher started talking. I saw Jake was not here yet and it brought me joy. I can't stand him. Then the door opens.

"Jake your late again. " the teacher said.

"At least I showed up, right? " he said and sat down next to me.

I saw him sit down slightly shake my head and look back at the teacher. She wrote something on the whiteboard. And it said Bring someone. I had no idea what she meant by that.

"Alright students you all have a project. " she said.

"But we already have a project in science is this one Scarlet could do for me too? " Jake blurted out.

"No Jake listen this project is very easy. All you have to do is bring someone from your family talk about them and let them do the rest. " she said and everybody took out their phones texting the person they were going to bring.

"When do we need to bring the family member? " I asked.

"Tomorrow will be good. " she said.

"Do they have to be here or can they be here when English starts? " I asked.

"When ever you think is a good time for them. " she said and I took out my phone.

Me: hey bro can I ask you a favor?

Blake: sure, what is it?

Me: can you come to my school tomorrow for a project?

Blake: okay at what time?

Me: how about I text you a couple minutes before my English class?

Blake: okay what classroom is it?

Me: class number 203.

Blake: okay.

Me: thanks big bro your the best!

Blake: no problem sis see ya in a bit.

Me: okay bye.

Blake: bye.

I put my phone away. And looked in my backpack for lunch money. When I saw Jake put his hand in and hold mine. I quickly take my hand out and his and closed my backpack.

"What I can't hold my girlfriends hand? " he whispered to me.

"I am not your girlfriend. " I whispered back

"Right. " he said winking at me and i just rolled my eyes and looked at the teacher.

"Alright class that is all for today and since you all finished early you are dismissed to lunch early. " she said and everybody walked out of the classroom.

I walked with Yumi and Bella to lunch. We walked down the stairs and off to the cafeteria.

"So can you tell me why Jake keeps looking at you? " Bella said with a smile and eyes of curiosity.

"Yea spill we saw you two in English. " Yumi said with the same face as Bella.

"I swear are you two twins or something?  And there is nothing going on between us. " I said and looked in my backpack for some money.

"Yea right. " Bella said.

"It's true. I don't like him. " I said and kept looking in my backpack when I found some money.

"Yes. " I said and Yumi accidentally hit my hand that made my money fall.

"Sorry Scarlet. " she said.

"It's my fault. " I said and was about to get my money when I saw someone pick it up.

"Looking for this? " he said and I looked up to see Jake.

"Yes. " I said

"Well here you go. " he said and handed me my money.

"Thank you Jake. " I said got the money and continued walking to the cafeteria with my friends.

"Okay you have to admit that was nice of Jake. " Bella said.

"Yea why don't you like him? " Yumi asked as we sat down on our table.

"I wouldn't go out with someone who could possibly be the devil's son. " I said.

"Give us more reasons. " Bella said.

"Yea don't you think he's cute? " Yumi asked.

"Can we talk about something else please this is just going to ruin my appetite. " I said.

"Attention students remember about the talent show please sign ups will up here and you can also sign up in the art room. " a teacher said.

"Why don't we eat somewhere else? " I asked.

"Okay. " Bella said and we got up leaving the cafeteria.

I started eating my bag of chips when I was stopped by Yumi.

"Yumi why did we stop? " I asked.

"Scarlet you should totally sign up for the talent show. " Yumi said.

"No. " I said

"Come on at least try. " Yumi said.

"No,  plus I have no talent what so ever. " I said.

"Oh yes you do. " I heard someone say I looked back and saw Jake.

"N-no now I need to go. " I put my bag of chips in my backpack and grabbed Yumi and Bella's arms.

"Hey why did he say you do have talent? " Bella asked.

"He's probably confusing me with someone else. " I said and I felt my phone vibrate I was getting a call from my brother. And answered the call.

"Hey what's up? " I asked.

"Hey sis do you think you can come with me to the studio today after school? " I asked.

"What did you do? " I asked him.

"What nothing only that my producer found out that I have a sister and wants to see if you have talent. " he said.

"How did he find out?! " I asked.

"I don't know he came to my house while I was dropping you off at school and I guess one of the security guards told him I was dropping you off. "

"That is so.... You know I have to work but I'll see what I can do. " I said.

"Alright see ya in a bit sis. " he said.

"Bye. " I said and hanged up the phone.

I gave my friends a smile and we walked to our next class. Jake came along with his friends and he stopped us.

"Hey Scarlet can I take your backpack for you? " he asked and I looked at my friends.

"Yea he's a real bad boy. " I said and kept walking.

There is something wrong with him. But what?  What is wrong with him?  Weren't we enemies?
