"Things that could be the turning point of one's life, can be easily overlooked as a casual incident."

You felt the light and heat fall upon your closed eyes. Diving under your covers again, you blocked the sunlight by turning over.
You managed to lift your eyelids, but with the maximum effort put into that, you felt like your whole body paralyzed. The light seeped through the closed curtains and succeeded to illuminate the tiny chamber which you had to call your room.
You wearily turned the alarm clock to face you with the stamina that was only present in your fingertips. The clock blinked back blankly at you, glowing '8:30'.
You groaned and rolled yourself in the duvet, cherishing your last moments in the only place close to heaven you have - your bed.
Come on, Sang Hee. Get up!
Easier said than done.
With some energy, you managed to collect, and a newfound motivation, you swung your legs and sat up without hesitation, fearing the loss of spur you gained.
After standing up, you trudged your way to your dressing table and pulled open a drawer. Grabbing a band, you put your messy, frizzy bed hair in a bun. You dragged your feet along to the bathroom and let your hands fall onto the rim of the sink, and caught hold of it.
For you, the worst part of the morning (other than waking up) was brushing your teeth.
Ugh.

After you were done, you made your way through the dimly lit hallway to your kitchen. You opened the cupboards. Scanning and calculating the things you have, you settled yourself for omelettes.
Soon, the quiet kitchen was filled with the slight clatter of bowls and spoons and pans. Chopping up a few vegetables you had, you mixed the ingredients in a white bowl. You struggled to keep yourself awake. Putting away the fact that you have been doing this for about 4 years now, you were still getting used to managing a household by yourself.
As you poured the mixture into the pan and waited, you hesitantly turned and looked at the dining table, a small woodwork that sat daintily in the middle of your living room. How quiet it was these days.
"Pass me the sauce, please," Riyun said.
"Please?" your dad scoffed. "What's up with the sudden manners, huh?"
You glanced at Riyun, whose face was showing an evident blush. You felt a small smile creeping its way to your face.
"Oh. I think I know," you chuckled.
Your mom and dad turned their heads towards you. Their expressions were priceless. You opened your mouth to speak, but shut it as Riyun glared at you.
"Nothing, actually. Just a feeling," you said, chewing on the noodles.
Your mom looked between you and Riyun. Her hand slowly made its way to her chest, and her face morphed into, what you thought she intended to be, a hurt expression.
"Since when did you start having secrets from me?" Mom said, waving her chopsticks at Riyun. "And sharing them with Sang! Oh, gosh."
Your dad glanced at your mom. After hesitating a few seconds, he wrapped his arm around your mom's shoulder and looked into her eyes.
"Since a long time ago," he chuckled.
You and Riyun exchanged glances. Riyun stuffed up her cheeks with noodles, in an attempt to stuff her laugh. But failed.
Soon, the whole room was filled with laughter, except a deceived looking Mom.
"Why?!" She shouted lightly, before erupting her own laughter.
You blinked a few times and shook your head.
Forget it, Sang Hee.
You laid the omelettes to three porcelain plates and placed a fork in each. You decided to go and change while waiting for them to cool.
You slowly made your way back into your room. You opened your cupboard and debated yourself over what to wear. You ended up choosing a simple blue blouse with denim trousers. You peeked over your shoulder to glimpse outside your window.
Looks cold.
You grabbed a coat and swung it over your shoulders. You went to your bed and slipped your hand under the duvet for your phone. Getting hold of it, you tapped the home button. It read 9:02. You shoved your phone into your denim pocket and went out of your room, slowly closing the door behind you.
You made your way to the bedroom next to yours. Stopping in front of the closed door, you tapped on it thrice.
"Cupcake, get ready you have class in an hour," you cooed, not expecting it to work.
You tapped again.
"Riyun!" you said.
You heard some shuffling and a creak. Some light made its way through the space between the door and the floor, signalling an opening of the curtain. The footsteps got louder, and the handle turned down slowly. The hinges of the door creaked annoyingly, and you made a mental note to oil them. Before the door, a sleepy Riyun presented herself, her usually straight hair now in a tangled nest.
You ruffled her hair, making a face at her.
"Get ready."
Riyun pouted slowly, her eyebrows knotting together.
"Good morning to you too, Unnie."

After you had finished breakfast, you cleaned up and were placing the two finished plates on the rack. You turned around and glanced at the remaining plate.
"Where's mom?" you ask Riyun.
"Sleeping," Riyun muttered, not looking up from her job of putting her books in her bag.
Of course, she is.
You both put on your shoes and shuffled your way out of the house. But before closing the door you peeped your head in and said, "Mom! We're leaving. Eat, OK?"
You closed the door slowly, as if not to wake her, even though that's not what you wanted.
You looked back into your house.
"Bye! See you later. Have fun," your mom chuckled.
"Bye, mom," the both of you said in unison.
You turned around at the sound of the door closing, and then looked at Riyun.
"Unnie, look!" She exclaimed.
Riyun stuck her tongue out. A snowflake that was making its way down, swaying gently, made its way to her mouth. She pulled her tongue back in and gave an innocent smile at you.
You tapped her gently in her arm.
"Don't do that," you scolded her. "You'll catch a cold!"
The smile slowly disappeared from her small face and was replaced by a frown.
"You're older than me! What kind of logic is that," she said.
You rested your arms on her shoulder, earning an "ow!"
"You OK?" Riyun's concerned face made you smile.
"Yes."
You held her hand and made your way to her class.
It was spring, but the weather was as cold as ever. The early rain caused the pavement to reflect the traffic lights. People were running up and down, despite how it was a weekend. Most of the faces were the usual - tired and concerned faces, strolling the town in slight jogs. The cold wind caressed your cheeks, causing them to blush evidently. The trees swayed, releasing a harmony of rustles.
Before you knew it, you reached Riyun's math class. It was surprising, but she was horrible on the subject. Why surprising? Cause you were the opposite.
"You sure you don't want me to pick you up?" You said, concerned.
She sighed.
"Yes, Sang. Besides, Jisoo said she'll drop me off," she looked as if she were debating with herself before she managed to get out a, "actually, she insisted."
"Fine. Bye, cupcake."
She hugged you. You didn't pull away like you always did. This time you both held each other, cherishing each other as if you were all the other had. As if something was going to happen. Something bad.
You finally pulled away.
You waved her off.

You blew into your hands, and then rubbed them before shoving them inside your coat pocket. It was really cold today.
Your phone vibrated in your pocket. You pulled your phone out, displaying 5 texts from your friend.
Joo-sy: Good morning!
Joo-sy: rise and shineeeee
Joo-sy: where r u???
Joo-sy: im lonelyyyyyyyy
Joo-sy: shud i pick u up? r u in TrOuBlE!?!?

You smiled to yourself.
You: be there in 10
You suddenly bumped into someone. You lost your balance and started to fall.
But he caught you.
You looked at the person you bumped into. You couldn't really see his face. He was covered in all black. Black denim trousers, black turtle-neck with a black coat, with the hoodie on. And a blue mask.
"I'm so sorry," he said, bowing.
"Oh. It's OK. Are you -"
But he was gone, completely disappeared through the crowd.

But I hope this chapter was good, it took a lot of motivation - which I was lacking. Since I have my vacation now, I'll be sure to update more, even though consistency will be hard.... BUT I WILL TRY!
How was this chapter?
