~Ivy's POV~

"Wake up wake up wake uppppp!" someone yelled from the other side of the room.

I groaned and buried my head into my pillow.

"You leave me no choice." the person mumbled.

Before you could comprehend anything a bucket of ice cold water was dumped over my head. I shot up only to see Normani was also soaked.

We both looked up.

"DINAH!" we both screamed before jumping up and running down The hall behind her. She turned into a room and tried closing the door.

We got there just in time and pushed the door open.

"Hide me!" Dinah begged her girlfriend.

"Oh hell no. Don't bring me into this!" Holly said before racing out of the room.

"You really did it this time Hansen." I said with an evil laugh.

Normani looked at me and I nodded.

"Please spare m-" Dinah started but me and Normani dived at her.

The three of us fell back onto the bed.

I sat on her stomach with her arms pinned under my knees.

"Any last words Hansen?" I ask as Normani sneaks out of the room.

"Tell Holly I love her!" She said dramatically. "Oh and my family."

I laughed.

"Am I considered your family?"

"Of course you are!"

"Okay good. Then you can't kill me. I love you DJ!" I giggled as Normani came back in the room with a bucket full of ice cold water.

"Babe I swear if that hits me were gonna have problems."

She smirked and dumped the bucket over Dinah's head causing her to scream.

"Never do that again!" I giggled before jumping off of her and running to the room with mani on my heels.

"I'm going to go shower. I'll be done in a few minutes." I said kissing her cheek and skipping into the attached bathroom.

I turned the shower on and jumped in and began singing Lego House by Ed Sheeran.

By the time I finished the song I hopped out and wrapped a towel around my body.

Looking around I notice I forgot to get my clothes.

I groan and open the door trying to sneak into the room.

With my luck Normani was sitting on her phone.

I tried to make it to the closet but with my luck I tripped over my combat boots.

I silently cursed at myself before Normani looked up from her phone With a smirk.

"Forgot my clothes. Don't look at me like a hungry Wolverine." I said with a laugh.

I grabbed my clothes and skipped back into the bathroom almost dropping my towel.

Once the door was securely closed, I dropped my towel and put my bikini on under my clothes for the day.

I opened the bathroom door and walked out and faceplanted into the bed.

"Baby were going on a hike. Get up." Normani said chuckling.

"Noooooooooo it's comfy here!"

She laughed again before wrapping both her arms around my waist.

"What are you do-" I was cut off by her throwing me over her shoulder.

Damn she's strong.

I don't even try getting down because I know she's going to win this.

I'm fully relaxed as we reach the first floor of the cabin where The other girls were.

"Lets gooooooo!" Ally yelled before running out the door closely followed by Cooper.

Mani put me down and I ran out the side door and down the path after ally.

Me and Ally were now walking at a steady pace with the other girls behind us.

I giggle as I hear Holly start to complain.

"Dinahhhhhhhhhhh. I'm boredddddddddd." Holly groaned. That groan was soon followed with a thump.

We all stopped and turned around and Holly was face down in the dirt.

"Holls. Come on." I said as Dinah started poking her with a nearby stick.

"Babe. You do know there are snakes and bugs all around right?" she asked as She poked Holly's back.

And with that Holly was up in a flash and on Dinah's back.

"Oh look guys! Rocks!" I yell starting to climb them.

"Yeah. And that's a tree and that's a shrub!" Demi jokes.

I giggle and roll my eyes.

Once I reach the top I see a little lake.

I looked at the water and saw it was really clean.

I slid my shirt off and then my pants revealing my bikini.

I looked down at the others And they were all looking at me like I was crazy.

I laughed and jumped into the cool water.

I'm still cautious about swimming since the incident I've had with my father a few years ago but I should be okay.

It took the girls a few minutes to finally make it to the top of The rocks.

"Took you guys long enough!" I joked.

They laughed and stripped down to their bathing suits.

Camila was the first to jump in followed by the rest of the girls.

Mom swam over to me.

"Hey Iv-" she paused, wide eyed. "Ivy Marie Jauregui! Is that a tattoo?" mom shouted.

"Ummmmm. Maybe?" I said more like a question.

"We will be discussing your punishment later!" she said before swimming over to Demi.

I look away from them for a second only to turn back and see them sucking each others faces.

"Ugh you two! Get a room!" I yelled, fake gagging and covering my eyes.

They laughed and splashed at me.

"Aye! No!" I yelled swimming out into the middle of the lake and turning my back to them.

It got quiet.

Way too quiet for my liking.

I went to turn around when a force pushed me under the water.

I struggled against them.

Letting out multiple shrieks only for them to be muffled by the water.

A few seconds went by but they felt like hours before they let go And I surfaced.

Gasping for air I began swimming towards the rocks where my clothes were to get out.

Tears were streaming freely down my cheeks as I grabbed my clothes and took off back towards the cabin with Cooper.

I could hear voices yelling after me but I just kept going.

I knew I was stepping on sticks and rocks which were probably cutting up my feet.

Once the cabin was in reach I picked up the pace and threw the door open and ran upstairs to my shared room.

I rummaged through the drawers And grabbed my book, a pen, and my pocket knife before throwing on Normani's favorite sweatshirt and my Nike sweatpants.

Opening up the book to the next page I see my page marker.

A Polaroid of me and Ross.

I smile as I remember one of our many camping trips.

~Flashback~

"3...2...1... Ready or not here I come!" I heard Ross yell from my hiding spot.

I silently held my giggle in as he crept past my hiding spot.

"Oh Ivy." he sang out.

Trying not to laugh was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do at this age. I was 6 while he was 10.
I was doing fine with not laughing before our puppy, Leo, jumped onto me and licked my face.
I started to giggle and the footsteps stopped.
Before I knew it Ross had me in his arms.
"There she is!" he said twirling me around.
I laughed uncontrollably before he set me down and I ran off towards our aunt Hannah and our parents.
We all Sat around the fire and told stories until I fell asleep with Leo on Aunt Hannah.

~Flashback ended~

With the memories of Ross fresh on my mind I put the pen to the paper and let my thoughts pour out.

It took over an hour to get them all out but in the end I saw song lyrics that I felt happy with.

At the top was the name of the song and who I was dedicating it to.

The one and only Lieutenant Ross Quinn.

During those hours multiple knocks came upon my door but were soon followed by the low growl and occasional bark from my trusted companion, Cooper.

I Sat in the window seat for a little while more before making my way to the door and opening it with my book in hand.

I hear talking coming from the living room so that's where I head. I reach the stairs and go down them two steps at a time.

As I near them I hear they're talking about me.

I try not to eavesdrop But I can't help It.

"You really love Ivy don't you." mom asked.

"Yeah. I really do. I don't know what I'd do without her." Normani answered.

"You better protect her Kordei." mom said seriously.

I smile to myself before I decide to make my presence known.

"Um. Can someone read this?" I ask holding up the lyrics I Just wrote down.

"Let me take this one. We are going on tour after all." Holly said reaching for the notebook.

"YOU'RE WHAT?" the girls yelled in unison. Or should I say Harmony.

"Shit. You didn't tell them yet did you?" holly asked.

I shook my head and looked around.

"Hey mom. Normani. Others. Um our band is going on tour. With Little Mix." I paused and looked at Holly. She nodded with a frown. "And Bea."

I dropped my gaze to avoid their shocked stares.

"Sorry I didn't tell you guys earlier. I would've told you sooner or later. But thanks to Holly, it's sooner." I said with a little sass.

"Ivy, it is amazing what you can do when you're in a room for a few hours." Holly said, looking up from the page.

"Thanks Boo." I said with a half smile.

"Speaking of being alone in a room for hours would you see me in the kitchen?" Demi asks.

I nod and follow her into the kitchen.

"Can you roll your sleeves up babygirl?" she questions, motioning to my sweatshirt.

I hesitate for a minute before crossing my arms and looking at the clock on the other side of the room.

"Ivy. Let me see your arms." she said in a sterner voice.

I give up and let her roll my sleeves up.

She gasps and pulls me into a hug.

Nothing is new new. Just not scars either.

Its pretty bad.

"Babygirl you need to come to me. Or your mom or Normani whenever you feel like doing this. We want to help you." she tells me before kissing my arms and pulling me into a tight hug.

"Hey um Demi?" we pulled away "Would it be okay if I called you Mama?" I asked looking at the hardwood floor.

"If you're uncomfortable wi-"

"That would be amazing babygirl." she cut me off.

I smiled and hugged her again.

"I love you mama." I whispered.

"I love you too Ivy."

We let go and made our way back into the living room.

Ally and Camila have my book and are flipping through songs.

"Ivy you need to use these in your set list!" Camila said with a grin.

"Speaking of, we leave tomorrow. We really need to have a band meeting to discuss that!" Holly said sitting up.

I nodded in agreement.

"The sooner the better. The tour is in two weeks!" I said sitting down on Normani.

She wraps her arms protectivly around me and kisses my shoulder.

"I love you guys." I mumble out before putting my feet up on Camila and Ally who are cuddling at the other end of the couch.

"Love you too babygirl." mom said from across the room, where her and mama were under a thick blanket.

And at that moment in time, I discovered what what the true meaning of family was.

Love.

Pure love was all I felt here with my family.
