Chapter 3

Jennie had come a long way since she first started her business. She had worked tirelessly to develop it into a successful enterprise that was now being sought out by big companies for potential deals. Today was a big day for her as she had a meeting with the largest company in the country.

As she was getting ready, Jennie's PA, Mi-Yeon, informed her that she had only ten minutes left before the meeting started and that Mr. Smith, the person with whom she had the meeting, had arrived. Jennie thanked her assistant and quickly made her way to the meeting room.

The meeting began with Mr. Smith presenting his business proposal to Jennie. She listened intently, asked relevant questions, and after careful consideration, accepted his offer. They shook hands and wished each other well, hoping that their collaboration would be fruitful for both of their companies. Jennie left the meeting feeling accomplished and excited about what the future holds.

Jennie and Rose were having breakfast together when Jennie shared her intentions of avenging her father's murder. She spoke with conviction, acknowledging the hard work and sacrifices her father had made for her, and felt that it was her turn to do something for him. However, Rose expressed concern about Jennie's safety and advised her to be cautious and not harm herself in the process.

But Jennie was determined to carry out her plan, She vividly remembered the pride in the murderer's eyes as he made her father suffer, and she wanted to take away that pride from him. The hatred in her eyes was palpable, and she was consumed by a fiery desire for revenge. She didn't care about anyone anymore and was willing to do whatever it took to make the murderer feel the same pain that she had felt.

Rose knew that nothing she said would stop Jennie now. The hatred in her eyes was clear, and there was a madness and a fire of revenge burning within her. Jennie was prepared to do anything to make her father's killer suffer, and she didn't care about the consequences. All that mattered to her now was that justice was served.

Jennie spent a considerable amount of time and effort to gather information about Mr. Manoban, but unfortunately, the information she obtained was outdated. Nevertheless, the information did contain some clues that could help her track him down. During her investigation, she discovered that Mr. Manoban had a son named Limario. This led her to believe that his son would be the key to finding his father. The only problem was that Jennie couldn't find any records of Limario on the internet. Now, she faces the daunting task of locating him without any leads or information to go on.

Limario stood firmly in front of the window in his office, his back turned to the door as he took deep puffs from his cigar. He appeared to be lost in thought until someone knocked on his door. Without turning, he barked out, "What is it?"

The door creaked open slowly, and a man entered the room. "Boss, we have brought the person you ordered us to take," he said, bowing deeply.

"I'll be there in a minute," Limario replied in a commanding tone.

He left the room and strode towards his men, who had the captured person in tow. Limario's face was stern as he surveyed the individual, who was bound to a chair. With an intense stare, he stood in front of him, his expression giving nothing away.

Limario sat in front of the person, his eyes fixed on him. In a strong and commanding tone, he spoke, "I know everything about you - your actions, motives, and methods. And after knowing all this, I've been pondering what I should do with you."

The man sitting in front of Limario stuttered, "N..no, M..Mr. Manoban, I have not done anything, I...you must have a misunderstanding, I am a good man."

Limario's voice reflected his confidence as he spoke, "When I take action, I take it after considering every possible angle. So, there is no room for misunderstanding. You know what I do with people like you?" As he said this, Limario raised his pistol, his grip firm and steady. "I kill them." He said and fired a shot that hit the man's head.

"Did you hear the news? Our college professor committed suicide. His family is silent, probably because of the shock. He also has a daughter who is about 15 years old. She looked very scared, many questions were asked to her, but she was silent, she did not answer any question, what a strange thing," Rose informed Jennie, her voice laced with concern.

Jennie sat there, her mind whirling as she absorbed Rose's words.

"Today is his funeral, will you go?" Rose's questioned.

Despite the solemnity of the occasion, Jennie couldn't shake the image of the professor's daughter from her mind.

Rose seemed to sense Jennie's unease and offered an explanation. "The police have investigated, but they do not suspect anything else but suicide," she said, her tone tinged with sadness and resignation.

Jennie nodded, but her intuition screamed otherwise. Something about the situation didn't sit right with her. "I will investigate this case myself," she resolved silently, her determination fueling her resolve. "There's more to this than meets the eye, something hidden beneath the surface that the police may have overlooked."
