Hiashi had been standing over a panting and tired 4 year old Hinata with and angered look plastered on his face. 

"Get up, you incompetent child of mine." Hiashi barked at his daughter.

"H-hai Otosan."  Hinata tried to pick herself up from the floor but ended up falling to the wooded floor once more.

"Hinata, your weak." "I'd expect better from you, you are supposed to be learning how to do rotation right about now." "But since you continue to lag behind we are still going over the basics of the gentle fist fighting style and how to activate your Byakugan!" "Hinata, until you learn how to do these things I shall not train you." " Your too weak and incompetent for me to train." "Besides it would just be a waste of my time to continue to try and train you." "Dissmissed."
With that hinata's father walked out of the room, leaving Hinata a disheveled, crying heap on the floor.

"Why can't father just accept me for the way I am?" "I'm trying so hard to become stronger but it seems as if I'm not becoming stronger at all." "Maybe father's right...I really am weak." "I'm so weak that he wouldn't even want to train me..." "I want to become stronger." Hinata thought to herself.

After a while Hinata gingerly picked herself off the floor and limped back to her room.
While doing so she over heard a conversation between her father and her grandfather.

"Hinata is weak!" "She's not fit to be the clan head!" "And besides she hasn't even gotten past the very basics of the gentle fist fighting style and she doesn't even know how to activate her Byakugan correctly!" "What am I supposed to do with such an incompetent child such as her?" "Huh?!"
"Calm down hiashi, Hinata might not be fit to lead our clan as you said before but I'm sure she isn't that weak."
"Yes she is!"
"*Sigh*,hiashi, if you think she's weak then we shall test her strength and see if she is or not."
"Hmph, fine but if she's weaker than her sister then I am disowning her and she isn't allowed to live here."
"As much as I hate to say it...Fine." "I'll agree with your terms,hiashi."
With that the conversation ended.

Hinata who may or may not have been eavesdropping moved away from the room where her grandfather and her father were once talking and as silently as she could made her way towards her room.

Once she made it to her room she immediately collapsed onto her bed and fell asleep.

(Time skip, the next Morning)
Hinata woke up to the sun peering through her lavender colored curtains.
She was in pain due to yesterday's training session and the fact that she was remembering what her father had said about her.

She just hoped that the things her father said about her wasn't true.

With this she hopped out of bed and made her way towards her bathroom.
She closed the door behind her and got ready for the day.

Once she was done she sat in the middle of her room and meditated for a bit before a knock was heard at her door.

Hinata cracked open one of her eyes.
"W-who is it?" Hinata called out.

"It's neji, hinata-sama."

"O-oh, n-neji-san...C-come in."

With that the door to hinata's room slid open and neji walked in.

"Hinata-sama, your father has requested your presence in the main court yard at once." Explained neji.

"H-hai..."

With that neji turned to leave but before he could Hinata stopped him.

"A-ano, neji-san?"

Neji stopped and turned back to Hinata.

"Yes, Hinata-sama?"

"W-would y-you hate me...I-if I were t-to be disowned?" "A-and if I w-were to be disowned...W-would y-you C-come with me?" Hinata asked.

Neji looked at her questioningly before asking; "Hinata-sama, why would you talk about being disowned?" "And no I wouldn't hate you and only if you wanted me to I would."

Hinata looked down for a moment before saying; "i-it's just...Never mind." "I-it was j-just a weird question that p-popped into my head." "T-thats all." "Th-thanks neji-san." Hinata bowed to neji.

Neji was shocked by this and quickly told Hinata to lift her head.

Hinata did as she was told.
And with that neji left Hinata in her room.

After Hinata gave herself a few minutes to calm down she exited her room and went to the main court yard where her father and grandfather was waiting.

"Your late, Hinata."
"H-hai, gomen, Otosan." Hinata apologized.

"Ehem ... Anyways , Hinata, you Shall be participating in a duel to see if you are worthy of leading our clan or not."

"And if you fail to meet my expectations and win then you shall be disowned and will no longer be allowed to live here as a Hyuga."

"After all, we don't want a weak hyuga who can't even activate their Byakugan correctly." Hiashi said menecingly.

Hinata's eyes became shadowed.
"H-hai, hiashi-sama." Said Hinata dropping the usual phrase of "father".

"Ehem...Right." "anyways, Hinata you shall be going against your sister." "Good luck Hinata." Her grandfather said.

"H-hai."

Hinata walked out into the court yard to see her sister already ready to fight.

Hinata immediately got into her stance and tried to activate her Byakugan. Like always though, she never channeled enough of her chakra to her eyes and ended up channeling enough chakra to only one of her eyes. This caused only one of her two eyes to become Byakugan.

It was already too late to try and activate the other eye and her father had already called for the start of the match.

Hanabi took of with not exactly blazing speed but enough speed so that she could charge at Hinata.

Hinata also took off but much slower than her sister did. Hinata tried to land numerous hits on her sister but it didn't work. Her sister was far too fast for her. At this point all Hinata could do was try and dodge her sister's hits and even then she would get hit. This went on for about 5 minutes before hanabi decided that she's had enough and landed the final blow on Hinata which caused Hinata to fall to the ground.
Now her sister's hits didn't hurt that much but what did hurt her was the fact that she was truly as weak as they said she was.

Hinata closed her eyes and deactivated her Byakugan. Once she did she was met with cold, hard eyes. Those eyes were the eyes of her father.

"Hinata...You did not live up to my expectations and win this duel."

Hinata stayed silent.

"So there fore as the head of the main branch and the entire hyuga clan I disown you and your sister shall be named as the new clan heiress." "Also upon you loosing you have lost your right to stay here and call yourself; "Hyuga Hinata."
"Get up from the ground and gather your things and leave." "We don't want to see a failure such as yourself ever again." "You have till 5 pm tonight to gather your things and then go." Hiashi stated harshly.

Hinata Stayed quiet and picked herself up from the ground and walked back to her room to gather her things and then leave.

(Time skip, in hinata's room)

Hinata had gathered her stuff within a backpack she had gotten when she was younger from her mother. The backpack was large enough To fit everything that was ever important to her. Once Hinata gathered all of her things into the backpack she had at least one hour to spare.

As she was about lie down on her bed for the last time she heard a knock on her door.

"A-ano, who i-is it?"

"Hinata-sama, it's neji." "I'm coming in." "I have stuff to give you before you leave..." Neji trailed off.

"N-neji-san, C-come in."

Neji did as told and walked into her room and shut the door behind him.

"Hinata-sama." Neji bowed.

"N-neji-san, l-lift your h-head." "Th-there's no n-need to bow to a-a failure like m-me." Hinata stated.

Neji lifted his head.

"Hinata-sama, I'm sorry, anyways I came to give you some scrolls to help you further along with your training."
"And if you want I can go with you if you'd want?" Neji asked hopefully.

Hinata thought about it for a moment before saying; "n-neji-san...If y-you really w-want to... Y-you can."

Neji smiled happily towards Hinata and gave her the scrolls and told her that he was already packed and ready to go. 

Hinata smiled for the first time in ages.

"A-alright then...L-lets go then... Neji-san."

"Hai, hinata-sama."
Hinata put the scrolls neji handed her into her backpack and then picked it up and put it on her back.

"N-now were r-ready." "L-let's go n-neji-san."

"Hai Hinata-sama."

With that Hinata and neji walked out of the room and to the front entrance of the Compound where hiashi was waiting.

"I see your ready to go, alright then, bye." "Don't ever come back." "And neji, where do you think your going?"asked hiashi.

"I'm going with hinata-sama of course." "I am her cousin after all." "Besides you weren't going to help her so I'm going to." "I don't care if you disown me or not this is something I'm willing to do to protect her." Stated neji firmly.

"hmph, fine but as I said to Hinata don't ever come back."

"Ha, come back?" "Your funny, I wouldn't dream of it." "Oh, would you look at the time we must be going." "See ya never hiashi-san." Said neji as he walked out the front gates of the compound with Hinata.

The two walked down the streets of Konoha and kept going all the way till they reached the hokage's office.

Once they reached his office they knocked on the door and heard a "come in." And which they both walked into the office and shut the door behind them.

The hokage was surprised to see two kids in his office, the Hyuga kids at that!

"Ehem, what brings you here you two?" The hokage asked.

"H-hokage-sama, w-we were disowned b-by the clan..." "N-now we h-have nowhere t-to go." Explained Hinata.

The hokage's eyes widened at this.

"Ah, I see...You two came to ask if you could get some place to stay for yourselves right?"

"H-hai hokage-sama."

"Ah, well let's see...Ah, here's a form for a 2 bedroom apartment."

"Let's go give it to the person who owns the apartment now."

"H-hai."

The hokage got up out of his chair and walked out of the room with the two following closely behind him.

Once the group of people got to the apartments they went into the registration office and submitted the form and the form was approved.

The lady at the desk handed them their house keys and bid them farewell.

The hokage showed them to their new apartment and let Hinata unlock the door.

Once the door to their apartment opened the two kids were amazed.

It seemed that their apartment was pretty cozy despite its size.

The kids walked in and set their stuff down .

"H-hokage-sama!" "Th-thank you."

"Haha, no problem hinata-san."

"Umm, hokage-sama, sorry to interrupt but what about our living expenses and food?" "How are we going to get that stuff and or pay for that stuff if we don't have any money?" Neji asked.

"Ehem, right, well...I'm going to give you both a daily allowance along with  some money that you can set aside for any future expenses." Explained the hokage.
"Here you are."

The hokage handed neji and Hinata envelopes filled with money.

"Oh, ok." "Thank you hokage-sama." Thanked neji

"th-thank you hokage-sama." Thanked  Hinata.

"No problem you two." "Come see me any time if you ever need anything from me." "I'm off now." "I'll see you two later."

"B-bye hokage-sama."
"Bye hokage-sama."

With that the hokage walked out of the apartment and closed the door behind him.

"N-neji-san, it's q-quiet late...We should get t-to bed." Suggested Hinata.

"Yeah your right, we can worry about food and other things Tomorrow."

"Neji-san, w-would you like the back room?"

"Sure Hinata-sama, it doesn't matter to me." Said neji

"Anyways good night Hinata-sama, see you in the morning." Said neji as he made his way to his room.

"A-ah, goodnight n-neji-san." "See y-you in the m-morning." Hinata responded back as she also made her way towards her room.

Once Hinata was in her room she grab her pajamas from her back pack,put them on and went to bed.

"I wonder what Tomorrow will bring?"

With that question Hinata fell asleep.
