Sun's POV

I was sleeping in my bed when I woke up to a soft whimpering sound. I roll over and look at the bed across from mine. I see Neptune toss and turn with fear written all over his face. I get up and walk over to his bed, then I lay beside him.

"Shh, it's okay, Nep." I whisper as I hug Neptune close to me and rub his back.

"Unnn....w-water....ocean...s-s...storm." Neptune groaned fearfully.

He clings tighter to me, softly crying as he shakes. I run my fingers through his hair to calm him down.

"Don't worry, baby, there's no water, no storm; you're safe, I promise." I reassured him.

Neptune has the same nightmare every once in a while. Well, it's more of a memory than a dream. When he was eleven, him and his family were on a boat on the ocean when a terrible storm started. Neptune nearly drowned, but ended up being the only survivor. Since then he's had severe aquaphobia.

"M-mom and Dad are gone." Neptune cries in his sleep.

"I-I know, Neptune, I know." I reply.

I use my tail to wipe the tears off his face and kiss his forehead. Neptune nuzzles his face into my chest as I rest my chin on top of his head. My blue-haired boyfriend soon calms down and we sleep the rest of the night peacefully in each other's arms.
