Ren quietly meditates in his dorm, sitting cross-legged on his bed. Then suddenly his girlfriend, Nora excitedly bursts into the room.

"Renrenrenrenren!!!" Nora said jumping onto Ren's lap.

"What, dear?" Ren chuckled lightly.

"There's this contest down in Mantle and the first place prize is 50,000 lien! We have to enter it!" Nora replied holding a flyer.

"Hmm...let me see the flyer." Ren said, holding out his hand.

Nora gives her boyfriend the flyer then he looks it over.

"Nora...this is a flyer for a Drag Show contest." Ren stated.

"Mhm." Nora nodded.

"Are you asking me to dress in drag for 50,000 lien?" Ren asked.

"Yep!" Nora answered, popping the "P".

"Come on, Ren, it'll be fun! And we'll definitely win, cause you have the prettiest eyes and hair. Also, Yang, Blake, and Oscar are entering Jaune into the contest, and you know how good he looks in a dress, so we have to beat them!" she added.

"Ehhh...I don't know. I'm not really all that comfortable in large crowds. Also, don't drag queens like...perform and sing? I'm not good at stuff like that." Ren said, reluctant to agree to Nora's idea.

"No, it's more like a fashion show. All you have to do is strut down the runway, strike a pose, then you're done." Nora explained.

"Well...ah what the heck. It wouldn't hurt to try." Ren shrugged.

"YAYYYY!!" Nora cheered hugging Ren's neck.

"I'm gonna go call Weiss and Ruby, they're gonna help me transform you." she added grabbing her scroll.

Ruby and Weiss come over, and they all discuss what they are gonna do.

"What should we do, girls? To win this thing we gotta make Ren look like a beautiful woman. But since it's a Drag Show, the makeup and outfit has to be extravagant; and it has to be unique so it'll stand out to the judges. Hey, babe, do you got any ideas?" Nora said.

Ren furrows his brows, thinking.

"Hmmm....how about you guys dress me up as a geisha." Ren suggested.

"What's a geisha?" Ruby asked.

"It's a type of female performer. It was a Kuroyuri tradition, as well as a few other villages." Ren told her.

"What does one look like?" Weiss asked.

Typing at his scroll, Ren searches on the internet for an image of a geisha. He finally finds a good one and shows it to the girls.

"Oooh, that will definitely win us the 50,000 lien." Nora said smiling.

"Would we even be able to find an outfit like this in Atlas?" Ruby asked Weiss.

"I know a fashion designer who could make something like this for us. He also loves Drag Shows so I'm sure he will be happy to help." Weiss replied.

"Okay, everyone, here's the plan! I will be in charge of Ren's hair...and that also includes waxing his legs and pits..." Nora began.

"Wait what!?" Ren asked, his voice cracking a little.

"Weiss, you'll be in charge of Ren's outfit and makeup. And, Ruby, you're in charge of accessories, see if you can find a parasol and a fan." Nora continued.

"Aye aye, captain!" Ruby cheered with a salute.

Weiss just rolls her eyes at her partner then grabs her wrist and drags her out of the room.

"You're...not gonna wax me right now, are you?" Ren asked nervously.

"What? No. I'm gonna wax you the day before the contest, so that there's no stubble." Nora assured him.

Ren lets out a quiet groan...he did not enjoy the idea of getting waxed.

"Oh, you'll be fine. It won't hurt that much." Nora said as they both sat on the bed.

"So...tell me more about these geishas." she said, resting her elbows on her knees and her chin on her hands.

While Ren explains everything he knows of the subject, his girlfriend listens intently.

"Back in Kuroyuri, whenever there was a festival, my mom and her friends would dress up as traditional geishas and sing." Ren said with a fond...yet sad...smile.

"Wow...we've been by each other's side for like ten years, but this is the first time I've ever heard you talk about your mom." Nora said placing her hand on Ren's shoulder.

"S-sorry..." Ren mumbled, hanging his head.

"No, it's okay. Come on, tell me more about her. Was her singing pretty?" Nora replied, grabbing Ren's hands.

"I'm pretty sure it was...I was so young, I can't really remember it that well. Nora...d-do you think one day I'll just...completely forget what my parents looked and sounded like?" Ren said, frowning more and more.

"I wish I can tell you 'no', but...honestly...I don't know." Nora sighed.

Nora hugs Ren, he hugs back, and the two just sit there and hold each other in comfortable silence.

"Okay, chin up, baby, we got Jaune's a** to kick. So, I'm gonna go look up tutorials on how to do those geisha hairstyles." Nora said taking a deep breath and patting Ren's shoulders.

She gives Ren a peck on the lips then climbs up to the top bunk. Ren lays on his bed with his hands behind his head. He lays there and stares off into space, letting his mind go completely blank.

"Psst...Ren..." Nora whispered, hanging her head off the side of the top bunk.

"What, Nora?" Ren asked.

"I just thought of the perfect drag name for you. What do you think of....River Lily?" Nora answered.

"Cool." Ren said giving his girlfriend a thumbs up.

Nora smiles happily before sitting back up. Even though he's not too sure about this whole thing...being a shy guy and all...Ren's gonna go ahead a do this for Nora. She seems so excited about it, and he will do anything that will make her happy. Besides...Ren isn't opposed to wearing feminine clothing or makeup. After all, he's never really conformed to stereotypical gender norms.
