Backstory: Gracelyn was 3 when she was diagnosed with xeroderma pigmentosum (XP), its an extremely rare yet very serious genetic disorder where she is allergic to the sun. Other people who are allergic to the sun might have polymorphic light eruption (or PMLE), the difference is that XP is incurable and deadly if the person is exposed to sun light.

In other words Gracelyn cannot go outside at all unless she is wearing special sun blocking clothing. Other than she stays inside her house which all the Windows in the house are tinted so no sunlight comes in through the windows

She used to come to school with everyone and you but she was constantly bullied and called "vampire girl" so she left and began to be homeschooled.
