He should've never let his confidence get to him that afternoon when he kissed Seokjin. A brave soul, yet such a dumb idea.
So, as the knocking on the apartment door struck, Jungkook unlocked the door and opened it, waiting to be chewed out.
He deserved it.
Seokjin was given no warning, Jiyeon was still his girlfriend, and Jungkook was just greedy. He regret it, but a part of him also... didn't.
But he knew what he deserved.
"Jeon." Seokjin walked by him and slid his shoes off as Jungkook closed the door silently. "Let's talk in your room. I don't wanna be interrupted."
In his room. "Why?" Jungkook asked, but Seokjin simply grabbed ahold of his wrist, and Jungkook's head fell as he was pulled towards his room.
He felt like a toddler soon to be scolded. Seokjin held tight onto his wrist and he swung the door open hastily like he was upset.
Jungkook didn't want him to be disappointed or anything like it. He'd rather be yelled at out of anger, but Seokjin didn't seem angry. He seemed... different. When he released his hold, he shut Jungkook's door and turned to him. He definitely didn't look angry.
"Why did you kiss me?"
Frozen, Jungkook merely stared up at him. The question was something he'd been repeatedly asking himself the past few days, playing like a broken record.
He kissed Seokjin for one reason and one reason only: he wanted to.
Selfish. He felt selfish for doing it.
"I'm sorry," he muttered as he leaned against the wall, his head hanging low again. "Just yell at me and get it over with, please."
So slowly, Seokjin took a step forward. He stepped closer to Jungkook, the younger's heart skipping a beat— he didn't know what to feel.
"I won't yell." Seokjin lowered his head to try and look him in the eye, but Jungkook resisted it. "Jeon. Tell me why you kissed me. That's all I want." He locked eyes with him for a split second, Seokjin's dark brown eyes piercing hard into him even though his voice was soft. Jungkook quickly looked away again.
"Just..."
Suddenly there was shifting next to him, and as he was about to turn and look, Seokjin's hand was presented— pressed against the wall in front of his face. Seokjin was too close.
The pads of his fingers pressed into the wall, turning red. "It's rude to not make eye contact." Jungkook gulped, feeling small. "Look at me and tell me why you kissed me."
Seokjin was hardly intimidating, despite his actions. He sounded too curious to sound intimidating. Still, Jungkook met his eyes.
Furrowed brows, a concerned look in his eyes; he looked like he'd been worrying way too much over something like this. Jungkook had truly messed up.
"I'm sorry. I just.. wanted to."
His brows furrowed more in confusion. "Wanted to? That's your answer?"
"That's the truth!" Jungkook pouted back at him. "I mean, I wanted to comfort you. You were upset and I thought—" If Jiyeon wouldn't comfort him, he would— "kisses are nice. I just felt like it."
"You're just excusing a drunken kiss by saying that," Seokjin told him, his voice lowered. He moved slightly closer to Jungkook. "That day, I had overheard Jiyeon confessing to someone else. Saying how much she really likes him, how she can't stop thinking about him. I planned on getting drunk with you and forgetting about it because she was rejected by him and I thought her and I could work on it. But you..."
Jungkook had no idea that Jiyeon had done that. He had no idea what kind of comfort Seokjin really needed that day.
"You kissed me," Seokjin continued, a dark chuckle right after he said it. "And I shouldn't feel this way..." Slowly, he inched closer. "I shouldn't want this."
Jungkook shouldn't either.
With no hesitation, Seokjin then closed the gap between them, only a moment's worth of eye contact with Jungkook before he did, and before Jungkook was letting him in.
This kiss wasn't like the first.
This kiss was heavy and needy as Seokjin cupped Jungkook's cheeks. In Jungkook's eyes, Seokjin was always so bad at flirting. Now, however, the once burning flame in his gut was reignited again, desire resurfacing as Seokjin kissed him.
He wanted it so bad.
They shouldn't, but they did.
Jungkook kissed back just as needy, holding tight onto Seokjin's shirt as their lips slid together, as Seokjin started breathing harder.
His own chest started to rise and fall faster, begging for air as if he'd forgotten to breathe this entire time— he probably had.
But before he could get into it, Seokjin pulled his lips off of his and slowly exhaled through his nose, eyes still closed and eyebrows furrowed.
"Sorry," he muttered as he backed away, opening his eyes. They could now breathe again. "You did it first though. Now we're even." Jungkook let go of his shirt and stared back at him, speechless.
They're so wrong for this, right?
"I've never felt like this before," Seokjin admitted. Jungkook didn't know if he was talking about the guilt or if he had that same rush of desire. "I shouldn't be kissing you. We shouldn't... Because Jiyeon...."
Those last words turned the flame in Jungkook into a full blazing fire, anger building up. If Jiyeon can confess to other people behind Seokjin's back, then Seokjin can choose whoever the fuck he wants.
He can kiss Jungkook.
Jungkook lifted himself off of the wall and grabbed onto Seokjin's shirt again, this time pushing the older towards his bed until his legs hit it and he was forced to sit on it.
He ignored the confused look in Seokjin's eyes and followed him, pressing his knees into the mattress and straddling the older— Seokjin's confusion didn't stop him from placing his hands on Jungkook's waist.
Jungkook stooped down and attached their lips again, sighing into the kiss as Seokjin hummed back.
His grip was so tight on Jungkook's waist and it drove him crazy. His lips were so soft that they felt like clouds. Jungkook felt like he was in the clouds. He drove him crazy.
"Don't think about it," he uttered through broken kisses. "Don't think about her anymore."
He kissed hard and needy, eager to comfort Seokjin in his own (greedy) way, but as Seokjin was kissing back and trying to catch his breath, Jungkook could tell he wanted it too.
He knew Seokjin wanted it too.
"Jeon—" He licked at Seokjin's bottom lip. "Ah, Jeon, wait, wait." Jungkook pulled away, swallowing back his want. Seokjin seemed to be overwhelmed. "We can't. It's cheating."
Jungkook's lips parted and his brows creased. "Huh? And her confessing to someone else isn't?" Seokjin's lips fell into a frown with his words.
"She was rejected, though."
Jungkook couldn't help but force a laugh as he got off of his lap and sat next to him. He avoided Seokjin's eyes yet again, too busy being shocked.
"You must be kidding me." He forced another chuckle.
Seokjin sounded ridiculous. Jiyeon confessed to someone else and Seokjin very obviously wanted to kiss him, so how was he still so willing to be Jiyeon's boyfriend? What the fuck makes her so special?
"I'm sorry, it's just—"
"Go get her then," Jungkook cut him off. He didn't care to listen. "Go get her. But don't come crying to me when it doesn't go well. Don't come wanting to kiss me when she leaves you."
Seokjin's eyes widened at him, but Jungkook simply got up and opened his bedroom door.
"Better go before she gets here. Wouldn't wanna be caught dead in my room, would you?"
Though Seokjin's head fell in shame, he got up from Jungkook's bed. "I won't come crying to you, Jeon. I'm sorry, but she's my friend, you know. I know what I'm doing."
Again, Jungkook had to laugh.
There's no way in hell Seokjin knows what he's doing. But Jungkook knows exactly what he's going to do.
"Go on, brick." He was whispering to himself as Seokjin left for the front door. "I'll show you something to be sorry for."
