Jungkook couldn't even be mad.
He was hardly even confused as he heard a rough knocking on the apartment door. It was Seokjin; at least he had knocked this time.
In his hands, he held a little heart-shaped box and a case of beer was held by his side as well. His head was lowered when the door opened, so he didn't look at Jungkook.
"Um..?"
The box and beer were soon held up to Jungkook. "You said to come here to cry over my loss," Seokjin mumbled, barely loud enough to be heard.
Jungkook took the stuff and pulled him into the apartment. He looked like a sad puppy and judging by his words, talking to Jiyeon went... badly.
"What happened?" he asked as Seokjin slipped his shoes off and sluggishly followed Jungkook to the couch. "Did you break up? You said loss, right?"
Seokjin sighed as he got a can of beer and started to chug it— seemed like he wanted to pass away before living his young life, so Jungkook let him chug on.
They were sitting on the couch, but Jungkook was sitting up, crossing his legs and Seokjin was slumped back into the cushion.
"We didn't break up." Still, Seokjin drank away like he had a reason to. "Don't wanna talk about it. Just- distract me. Do something."
All Jungkook was, was a distraction. Nice. Cool.
"K. I'm eating these," Jungkook said as he opened the heart-shaped box— it was chocolates. Seokjin simply shrugged, telling him to go ahead.
He took out one of the few chocolates and ate it, so Seokjin took it as an opportunity to start talking.
"I need to get drunk, and you know my situation. You'll understand that, right? I just needed someone..."
Though Jungkook didn't wanna deal with a drunk Seokjin, he himself wanted to drink as well. He'd been working his ass off making music for class and it was exhausting.
And so, they drank the afternoon away.
They didn't speak too much about anything special, not until they really started losing themselves in the alcohol. Not until then, did Seokjin start again:
"She's so damn... She could just talk to me." He sighed tiredly to himself. "It's so not fair."
He was still slumped back into the couch and Jungkook was now sitting crisscrossed, facing him with his elbow on the couch to prop his head up as he listened.
Maybe it was the drinks...
But Seokjin is so handsome. He has such pretty hair, just the right length and such a nice brown color. His eyes matched his hair, which amused Jungkook.
His eyebrows were furrowed, but they were so nicely shaped, the crease making his eyes look sharp.
Jungkook trailed his gaze down to his lips, merely observing the plump curves of his soft pink skin. Drunkenly, he thought no wonder why everyone drools over him.
Had they also felt so drunk while looking at him?
Had they also gotten the chance to look to closely at him, and gotten the chance to pull chocolate from a box just to press it to Seokjin's nice lips?
"Shh... Eat."
Seokjin turned slightly to look at him, but Jungkook kept the chocolate at his mouth. The older took the sweet between his teeth gently before Jungkook's hand fell back to his lap.
He bet they never got the chance.
Seokjin swallowed the chocolate and shook his head at him, a careless smile on his lips. However, he frowned not too long after as if he thought of something.
"I'm such a bad boyfriend." He turned his head to Jungkook, head lying against the couch and frown deepening. "I don't even care if she likes him."
He's talking about Jiyeon again.
"It jus' hurts because.. What, am I not worthy of love? Why'm I so hard to love?" His eyes were set on Jungkook. Jungkook's were still set on his lips. "I should do better, right? Before I can be loved—"
"There's nothing wrong with you," Jungkook mumbled. He still refused to look into his eyes. He was too close and he was too afraid to do so.
"Yeah, right." Seokjin's lips set into a pout. Jungkook needed to take his eyes off. But Seokjin didn't notice so it was alright. "Everything's going wrong. It's my fault..."
Then, Jungkook looked into Seokjin's eyes. So sad. So lost in his thoughts. He seemed to need comfort.
Jiyeon wouldn't give it to him.
Without a single care in the world, Jungkook stooped down and mashed his lips right onto Seokjin's, his eyes happily fluttered closed as he did.
It was only a peck, really, and Jungkook didn't see the problem with doing so because he was so caught up in his hazy mind, thinking this was some kind of dream to him. He was drunk.
But the man in front of him didn't think of this as a dream.
To him, it was lightning-speed, Jungkook's kiss. Seokjin didn't see it coming and he sure as hell didn't feel like he'd been drinking anymore— the shock sobered him up real quick.
His eyes widened as Jungkook simply sat back up and giggled at him.
"You're worrying too much, Kim Seokjin," he let out in that soft voice of his. "It's not your fault if Jiyeon doesn't love you. That's just how it is."
Seokjin couldn't even bring himself to be upset over Jungkook's words.
What the fuck?
"J-Jeon, what..?" He blinked a trillion times but his shock turned into straight panic as he heard metal keys rustling behind him.
"Hey, you two."
It was Jiyeon.
Seokjin's eyes felt like they'd pop out as he realized that Jiyeon had walked in without him noticing. Had she seen Jungkook kiss him? Oh God.
"Jiyeon!" he quickly let out, sitting up straight on the couch. She seemed surprised by his sudden outburst and Jungkook's head simply tilted, his eyes blank as if he was thinking.
"Are you two having fun without me?" Jiyeon asked in pout. "Wow, you're stealing my boyfriend, oppa~" she pretended to whine, but Seokjin's heart dropped.
Too many things were happening in such a short notice.
"Um. I-I'm going to my room," Jungkook spoke even lighter than before. His hair fell in his eyes, embarrassed as he quickly got up.
Things didn't seem to catch up to Jungkook's mind until Jiyeon walked in, almost like he didn't realize the weight of a mere kiss until...
now.
Until he realized that Jiyeon was still Seokjin's girlfriend. Until he realized that Seokjin had no intent on kissing anyone tonight. Until he realized that he'd kissed Seokjin without a warning.
Still...
Seokjin had never felt so...
