You and Taehyung walked into the restaurant where Jin had called you both to meet. The aroma of sizzling food filled the air as you entered, and you spotted Jin sitting at a table, wearing a warm smile. You happily greeted him, and Taehyung followed suit, though his smile didn't reach his eyes.

"Hey, you two! Thanks for coming," Jin greeted you both warmly, pulling out a chair for you to sit.

You settled down next to Taehyung, who flashed a small smile at his brother. "Thanks for inviting us, Hyung. How have you been?" Taehyung asked, starting the conversation.

The three of you settled into a comfortable conversation, with Jin updating you both on his latest projects. Taehyung listened intently, nodding occasionally and sharing his own stories in return.

As you settled in, Jin's expression turned serious. "Our parents have been asking about you, Taehyung," he said, his tone gentle. "They miss you. Can you please consider meeting them?"

Taehyung's eyes narrowed, and his voice turned cold. "The same parents who abandoned me and disowned me for choosing to be with the one I love?" His anger simmered just beneath the surface as he spoke.

Jin nodded, his gaze filled with understanding. "I know, Taehyung. I know what they did was wrong, but they are remorseful now. They want a chance to make things right."

Taehyung's jaw clenched, and he looked away, his emotions conflicting within him. You could sense the pain and hurt in his voice as he spoke. "They don't get to waltz back into my life after all these years and expect everything to be forgiven and forgotten."

Jin nodded understandingly, his gaze filled with compassion for his brother. "I know, Taehyung. It's your decision, and I'll support you no matter what."

After a moment of silence, Taehyung took a deep breath, his features softening slightly. "I'll think about it, Jin. But for now, I need some time to process everything."

Jin nodded understandingly, his expression gentle. "Take all the time you need, Taehyung. Just know that our parents love you, despite their past mistakes. They want to make things right with you."

As you all sat around the table, the air was filled with unspoken emotions and unresolved tensions.

You looked at Taehyung with a soft gaze, filled with empathy and understanding.

"You know, Taehyung, I've been thinking," you began, hesitant yet determined. "Your parents have realized their mistake. They are remorseful for everything they did, and I believe it's time to forgive them."

He turned to look at her, his expression a mix of skepticism and hurt. "How can you say that, after everything they put us through? You know the pain they caused."

She nodded, understanding his perspective. "I know, Taehyung. I know it's not easy. But holding onto this anger and resentment— it's only hurting you more. It's not about letting them off the hook, but about freeing yourself from the weight of it all."

He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I just don't know if I can do it. What they did..." his voice trailed off, the pain evident in his words.

She looked into his eyes, her own filled with love and compassion. "Taehyung, I'm here for you, no matter what you decide. I just hope you can find it in your heart to at least consider forgiveness. It doesn't mean forgetting or excusing their actions, but it can mean finding peace within yourself."

He stayed silent for a long moment, mulling over her words. Finally, he spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. "Okay. I'll think about it."

She smiled softly, squeezing his hand in reassurance. "That's all I ask, Taehyung. Take your time. We'll face this together, whatever you decide."

Jin sat down with his parents, a worried look on his face. "Mom, Dad," he began.

His parents looked up from their tea, concern evident in their eyes. "What is it, Jin? Is everything alright?" his mother asked, her voice filled with trepidation.

Jin took a deep breath before speaking. "It's about Taehyung. He... he doesn't want to see you both." His voice was barely above a whisper, filled with sadness.

His father's brows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean, he doesn't want to see us? Why?" he questioned.

Jin hesitated for a moment before answering, "He still can't forgive you. He's been holding onto his anger for so long, and he's not ready to let it go."

His mother's eyes brimmed with tears as she spoke softly, "But we want to apologize, Jin. We want to make things right. Why can't he see that?"

Jin shook his head, his own eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I know, Mom. But he's hurt, deeply hurt. It's going to take time for him to heal, to come to terms with everything that has happened."

His father let out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "I just want my son back, Jin. I miss him so much," he admitted, his voice cracking with emotion.

Jin reached out and took his father's hand, offering what little comfort he could. "I know, Dad. We all miss him. But we have to give him the space he needs. We have to be patient and understanding."

His father sighed deeply, running a hand through his hair. "We never meant to hurt him, Jin. We were just trying to do what we thought was best for him."

"For all those years we were too busy to spend time with him," Jin admitted, looking down at his hands.

His father sighed deeply. "We didn't realize he felt that way. We were always so focused on providing for both of you," he said remorsefully.

His parents nodded, their faces etched with sadness and regret. "We'll wait for him, Jin. We'll always be here for him, whenever he's ready," his mother affirmed, her voice filled with love.

You were standing in the balcony enjoying the view of the city when suddenly your phone rang, startling you. You glanced at the screen to see an unknown number flashing. Hesitantly, you answered the call.

"Hello?" you said cautiously.

"Hi, is this Y/n?" a voice on the other end inquired.

"Yes, who's this?" you replied, curiosity piqued.

"It's me, your mother-in-law, I wanted to call and apologize for the way I behaved the other day," she said, her voice sincere.

"It's okay," you replied, trying to brush it off.

"No, it's not okay. I was out of line, and I shouldn't have spoken to you like that. I'm really sorry," she insisted.

You could hear the genuine regret in her tone, and it softened your heart a little. You had never had the easiest relationship with your mother-in-law, but her apology took you by surprise.

"I appreciate you saying that," you replied, feeling a weight lift off your shoulders.

"I just want us to get along better. I know we've had our differences, but I don't want that to come between us," she continued.

You found yourself nodding in agreement, realizing that maybe there was hope for a better understanding between you two.

"Let's start fresh, shall we?" she suggested, her voice hopeful.

You smiled, feeling a sense of relief and a newfound optimism. "I would like that," you said sincerely.
