The Chase

"Mal, I swear to Alice Cooper, tell us what the bloody hell is happening." Roxette complained while she and her cousin came out to the room, only to be greeted by a strange creature and a messy living room. Rez shrieked like a girl, making Roxette scream too. Rez freaked out as Don turned around with his true form.

"Merde." Don cursed softly. He hastily reverted to his human form, closing the excess eyes in his skin, except the two on his face and withdrew his feathery wings. Mallory stepped away and approached his friends. Rez was still figuring out if he was hallucinating or not, while his cousin looked very disturbed. "Guys?"

"Why did Don look like he was covered with eyes earlier?" Roxette discomposedly asked.

"No time to explain, we need to leave now. It's not safe here."

A loud banging came from the door. Don, without doubt, smashed the large window to make a bigger hole.

"We need to get out of here!" Mallory shouted, then looked fretfully at Don, "But how?"

Don spawned his wings and turned around. "Hop on my back, Mal. I'll carry all of you."

Rez looked in awe at Don's huge wings and questioned, "Aren't we too heavy?"

Don smirked lightly. "Don't underestimate my strength."

The door broke open by Azazel, accompanied with some of his hooded minions.

"Let's go!" Don shouted at the top of his lungs, alerting the others. Mallory hopped on his back and held tightly around Don's stomach. Don hastily grabbed the two cousins with his arms. He picked them up like kids between his arms, then he jumped out the window. "Ahhhh shit!" Rez screamed as they fell from the 65-storey hotel's window.

Like the speed of sound, the fallen angel glided his golden wings downwards. Mallory looked back, gasping at the sight of Azazel with dark bat wings and his minions flying down as well. Don glimpsed back and sped up. "Where's your car?"

He quickly inquired at Rez, who was screaming internally.

Rez composed himself briefly and pointed to his car, "T-there!" Don flapped his wings swiftly and changed directions quickly towards the parking lot. After a few seconds, he dropped the two on the back of the car and Mallory let go off him and landed beside the driver's seat.

Don jumped in the driver's seat and called Rez. "Give me your keys!"

Rez, albeit being on the edge of throwing up, grabbed the keys from his jacket. He threw it to Don, who caught it and inserted it into the ignition. The car's engine wouldn't start after he turned the keys.

"Son of a-" Don growled under his breath, "How old is your car?"

"It's a family inheritance." Rez weakly shrugged, then vomited out in the parking spot.

Don persistently turned the keys before hearing the ghastly foes coming closer.

Azazel appeared in front of them and grinned with golden needles-like teeth.

"Let me do it!" Mallory exclaimed angrily.
He snatched the keys, inserted it again and turned it in the ignition himself.

The car finally started, which gave them quick relief. Don revved the vehicle and without a single trace of hesitation, ran over his father.

He darted his eyes to Mallory, who looked at him with horror and bewilderment. He gazed back to the road and explained with a tone of catharsis. "You have no idea how much I wanted to run him over for centuries."

Mallory then turned his head to check on his friends. Rez was suffering from nausea after the unexpected flight, and was leaning his head back to take a nap. Roxette was anxiously staring behind them. The rest also looked behind them and shivered as Azazel stood up, quietly watching them drive off with the evil glare from his golden eyes.
