It's Always Sunny

Don and Mallory walked all the way to their room silently. None of them wanted to talk after what happened.

Don was thinking if he scared Mallory. He didn't wanted to that, his sanity slipped. He felt stupidly careless, how could he do that in front of him? Did Baretta planned this? All he wanted was to have a good time.

Mallory was the only way he could feel like a good man. Don wanted to feel awful, but he just sometimes forget to remember what is good or bad. He didn't want to be like his father.

After a while, Mallory spoke up. "What will happen?"

"What will happen is that the staff will take care of it," Don reassured. "The crowd was mostly soulless or demons. They won't care."

Mallory thought about what heard it the bathroom as Don examined his face in his pocket mirror, carefully pulling out glass shards that flew to his face earlier.

"Don?" Mallory weakly called.

"I am really sorry about earlier, Mallory," Don apologized. "My head was clouded and I wasn't controlling myself."

Mallory sighed and shook his head. "...I don't want to talk about that yet. It was about Brooks."

"Brooks? What about him?"

"I overhead him talk with Snake on the bathroom. He didn't like that we are together..." Mallory recalled, "...he said I was disgusting and wondering why you chose me."

After hearing what Mallory said, Don's brows furrowed and he snarled. "Fucking Brooks. That disrespectful..."
He stopped and composed himself. "I'm sorry he insulted you. I'm not letting you near him again."

"Why did you chose me, Don?" Mallory asked.

Don paused and gazed at Mallory. He finally gave a small smile and said, "Mal. I could write a book about why I love you."

"Be serious, Don."

"I'm serious. You could never disappoint me, Mal. You make me feel like an angel again. "

Mallory suddenly paused as he saw a bunch of familiar faces in front of their room door. Don darted his eyes to where he was gazed at. It was Mallory's bandmates, who were lost and confused beside the entrance.

"What are they doing here?" Don asked.

Mallory ran and yelled at Roxette, who was having a fight with her cousin. "Roxie!"

Roxette spun her head as her frown turned upside down after seeing her friend. "Mallory! Finally!" They hugged while Rez crossed his arms, sulking besides the wall's column. Mallory glanced at him and let go of his bandmate's warm embrace.

Roxette nudged his cousin. "Rez!"

Rez sighed and gave Mallory a bear hug, lifting him into the air. Don and Roxette laughed as Rez spun the shorter man around, still hugging him. He let go as Mallory leaned on the wall to recover from dizziness.

"You missed me, didn't you?" Mal chortled as he held his head.

Rez gave a slight chuckle, "Isn't it obvious? You were gone for a long time, dude."

"It was just a week, Rez."

"Whatever, I don't have any sense of time, but still..." Rez shrugged and put his hands in his jean's pockets, "...It was rough, having no one to mess around with, you're like the brother I never had."

Mallory grinned and briefly looked to Roxette, who arched an eyebrow to her cousin. "Same here, big guy. I missed you guys..." He paused and realized something and shot a concerned look at the group. "Where's Learone?"

"Eh, he's with his family. He didn't want to come with us... Oh hello, Don! Congrats on being on the top hits." Roxette smiled. Rez turned his head away and leaned on the wall nonchalantly as Mallory shook his head at him.

Don smirked and tilted his head. "Thanks. I won't have done it without all of your help."

"Aw shucks." Roxette chuckled. "I'm glad we helped!"

"Wait, why are you guys here?" Mallory interjected and asked.

Roxette's smile faded and gripped Mallory's arms. "Mal, there was someone trying to find you in your apartment yesterday."

"What? Who?" Mallory asked worriedly.

"We were not sure, but my gut just tells me I don't trust them."

Rez butted in. "It was a bunch of guys in white fancy suites. They are really weird."

Visibly, Don's eyes widened and he glimpsed at Mallory. His partner looked up to him, baffled. "Do you know them, Don?"

Don forced a smile and leaned his head. "It's a long story." He looked around and told the two in a low tone. "Let's enter first."

They nodded in agreement as Don grabbed the keys in his pockets and inserted it at the keyhole until a sharp pain pinched his head, making him drop the keys.

A mental image of a face of a three-horned animal-like monstrosity flashed in his mind. Black veins that were visible and at its snow white skin and dark eyes that looked like the abyss. He flinched and grunted right after he regained his consciousness.

"What the fuck?"
