Eurynome

Don shouted as he busted into the living room. "Mallory! We need to-"

"Shh!" Mallory put his index finger on his lips and shushed his partner and pointed to Roxette, who was sleeping soundly on the sofa.

Don paused to think and spoke more softly but in an urgent manner. "I'm sorry to intrude but we need to go to find your brother ASAP."

Mallory stared at him anxiously. "Mortimer? Why?"

"Not to be rude, but is your brother an orphan, Mal?"

"Orphan?" Mallory held back as he glimpsed at Rez, who was more confused with the situation. "Yes, he is. Why?"

Don eyes lit up. "So, Abaddon is saying the truth."

"What? Wha- what does my brother have to do with this?"

"No time to explain. Heaven and Hell are trying to find you and your brother. We need to-" Don was interrupted with a sudden loud crash at the window. There was a huge bird trying to get in.

"What the fuck? Birds?" Rez screamed, waking Roxette up. She sat up and gazed at the window with a scared and confused expression. "What...what is that bird doing?" The window's glass broke, startling the group. Roxette jumped out of the sofa and paced back from shock.

Don pulled Mallory to his side and urgently uttered. "Get the blade, Mal!" He turned to the cousins and pushed them aside.

"Go with your friend, I'll handle this." The two hastily followed Mal to his bedroom, while Don dodged the bird who almost scratched his face.

The bird transformed into the demon prince, Eurynome. He stood up and grinned, showing it's disgusting sharp teeth.

"Pathetic nephilim. I need that mortal, so I can spare you of horrible death."

"If I have a soul every time someone calls me a nephilim, I'll have enough quota that can last a decade." Don jested opened up the eyes in his body, sprouting his wings and positioned himself in a war stance. "But I digress. let me just kick your ass and get this over with, old man."

"Ha! You even have the guts to threaten me. Then perish, scum!" Eurynome screamed and pounced on Don, who quickly rolled to the other side. Don lifted up the couch and threw it at his enemy.

Eurynome stood up, partially unharmed and let out thousands of flies from his mouth, stunting Don. Don bursted himself into flames, burning the flies into crisps. He was unprepared for the foul fiend who held him up by the neck via telekinesis.

"Ooh, I have never tried dead Nephilim meat before."

"I suggest you go to the dentist first! " Don hoarsely said, clinging to his throat.

Eurynome shrieked from pain and dropped Don, as a blade pierced through his back. He slowly and painfully turned to see Mallory, who threw the blade.

The evil demon cursed as he kneeled to the floor, his hands on his stab wounds. "You'll pay for this, bastard!"

Mallory held up his hands as the blade came back magically. He sheathed it and uttered sternly. "Don't touch my angel ever again."

Eurynome screamed in agony as his wounds turned ablazed from the holy blade's effects, consuming his whole body until he was more, except ashes.

Don steadily stood up, and almost lost his balance as Mallory jumped on him to give a tight embrace.

"Are you okay?" Mallory asked worriedly as he brushed Don's tousled hair with his fingers.

Don took a breather and held his lover's hands. "I'm much better because you're here, love. Now, Tell Roxette and Rez that it's time to leave. We are not safe here."

A loud shake in the ground startled all the room's occupants. A cacophony of strange external noises alerted Don, making his four wings spread out. Mallory tightened the grip of his blade and stuttered. "W-what the hell is that?"
