Get Ready To Read Stuff...

Ok so this part is going to be about Markiplier. I made this last year for my school project. I am not going to use all of the paper because its not as important but yeah here ya go...

Mark Fischbach or better known as Markiplier, raised nearly $80,000 for charity as of 2013. Cancer Research Institute (CRI) asked, “What is it like knowing that you have the capacity to mobilize so many people for meaningful causes?” Mark said, “It should feel pretty daunting, but I’ve never really been intimidated by it. I’m proud more than anything. It just proves that everyone wants to help, they just need an avenue to do it. So if I can give ‘em a link to donate a few bucks and 10,000 people donate a few bucks, that’s a lot of money for charity.” Mark’s dad died of cancer so supporting the Cancer Research Institute was really important. Mark’s dad died on July 4th, 2008, of lung and bone cancer. The last thing Mark’s dad said to Mark was, “I love you so much.” There are many ways Mark is a humanitarian like how he is empathic, sympathetic, caring and public-spirited.

Mark is caring because Mark raised money for charities like The Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), and The Best Friends Animal Society. The Cincinnati Children’s hospital’s goal is to improve child health and transform delivery of care through fully integrated, global research, education and innovation. The DBSA provides hope, help, support, and education to improve the lives of people who have mood disorders and suffer from depression. The Best Friends Animal Society’s goal is to have no homeless pets. They do this by helping end the killing in America's animal shelters through building community programs and partnerships all across the nation. All of these charities have been supported by Mark, which show is concern and promotion of human welfare, as well as the welfare of homeless and starving animals.

Life experiences are a big reason why people live their lives in a certain way. Mark understands what a helping hand can do when you are down on your luck or going through hard times. It only takes one smile to change a path, one helping hand to change a down direction to an upward spiral! It was Mark’s childhood which put him on the path of wanting to be a person who helps those in need. As a child Mark knew what it is like to be depressed because he had some tough times like when, his parents argued and eventually got divorced. Mark had to go to a new school since his dad lost the house. Mark struggled in his new school at the time because he didn’t have any friends and most things at the school were foreign to him. Mark broke his arm when he was having a “how far can you jump on the monkey bars” contest (because he’s an idiot). Mark had a cast on his arm and he had problems with things like sharpening his pencil, the good thing is that this guy named Drew helped him. Drew also got Mark into band where he made more friends. Mark’s experience with depression and his reality of what a helping hand could do,  is just one reason why Mark supports DBSA as well as other charities.

Mark is public-spirited because in total, his Super Mario World livestream raised $75,371 for charity. That money went directly to the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, which provides services for individuals suffering from mental illness. For the Cincinnati Children's Hospital and best friends, Mark and his community have raised $628,670.14 in total and the number grows with every livestream. In Mark’s most recent livestream for the St. Jude’s hospital, Mark raised $70,882 with the help of 3,200 people within 22 months. Mark is also very generous because during these livestreams Mark donates thousands of dollars, helping improve the welfare of others.
