Wow. Just wow. Yes, that was on purpose. Her "nickname"/being teased as is 'Loony Lovegood'. It does, in fact, contribute to her 'crazy' factor in crude terms. Luna is perfectly unique and amazing just the way that she is. I'll have you know that every person out there is unique in their own perfect way and her character is amazingly realistic. We all know that one kid who is just a bit odd and in their own world. The fact that you are attacking these people shows a lot about your character and maturity level. Hate to break it to you sweetie, but not everyone fits your perfect standards and mold. And they shouldn't.
