Hermione is a week character.  Unline Bella, who struggles every day.  Hermione has no problems, the only things she has are self-created.  She follows Harry into his troubles.  Big whoop.  Even if she is teased about being a mud blood or whatever its called, she has a choice.  She could quit Hogwarts or something.  Bella has no choice, she is in love.

I might scream. I mean it. How DARE you attack one of the greatest female characters ever created!!! Well, maybe not ever, but Hermione is pretty great and no one will convince me otherwise!

"hermione has no problems"...You wanna say that again?? Say it and listen to yourself saying it. Are. You. Kidding??? Hermione is a strong female character who struggles with society and society's skewed values and prejudices. She's ridiculed for her blood status (something way out of her control by the way) and she's constantly put down, at least in the early books, about her looks and for being smart. She struggles with the standards that she can't live up to and is put down by her fellow peers and teachers for goodness sake! *coughSnapecough*.

She is bullied, verbally abused and your response to this is to say that these problems are self-created and to tell her to drop out of school. I can't even begin with how terrible and toxic this is.

And through it all she is a good and kind person, rising above the torments and the teases, and she learns to love herself and surrounds herself with people who love her as she is. She is perfectly flawed, incredibly bright and her friends learn to appreciate these things about her. This is what makes you strong; not having struggles, but overcoming them. Hermione sets a bright example for girls everywhere to embrace their intelligence and their fire and to never let the world get them down.

and yes she follows Harry into his troubles and YES this is 'big whoop'. Friendship is one of the common themes in Harry Potter, and she is supportive, courageous, intelligent, loyal, resourceful, caring, compassionate, strong, shall I go on?? She was right there with Harry when they went down the trapdoor, she was petrified and still managed to figure out what was wreaking havoc when the boys and everyone else were nowhere near close , she deduced Lupin was a werewolf and was there with Ron and Harry in the shrieking shack, she stormed the ministry of magic, twice, broke into Gringotts Bank, infiltrated Hogwarts, created an illegal club dedicated to knowledge and fought against oppression, she was there at the battle of Hogwarts, and she was there when her friends needed her. Every time. So don't you dare try to tell me she is a weak character.
