i hate
listen, i know there are A LOT of kinds of people that i hate
like, a lot a lot.
but one that is definitely up towards the top of the list is people who ALWAYS have to one-up you.
like stfu
if i say something good that happened to me, they HAVE to say something better that happened to them.
if i say something bad that happened to me, they HAVE to say something worse that happened to them
noooo one caresssssss
maybe your life sbetter than mine, or maybe it's worse
but like
if i'm trying to complain about something that sucked, don't say a sentence that has:
-at least it's not as bad as what happened to me
-i had something worse happen to me
-at least you didn't have to *insert long and boring story no one wants to hear*
okay now wait, this sounds like i'm being super rude and stuck-up, like i want people to listen to me but i don't want to listen to them
but that's not what i mean
if i make a post about something bad that happened to me, you CAN share a story about something bad that had happened to you.
but don't push my story down (like, watch your words carefully)
you can't properly decide which of two bad situations is worse unless both of them have happened to you. and even then that's only in some situations.
say i told a story about something bad happening to me, and you HAVE actually experienced it. if you share another story, you still can't really say that what happened to me is worse, because you haven't had the same life as me.
maybe for me, something could be the worse thing in the world, but you think something else is worse because you like different things and have experienced a different life than i have.
if you're judging between two bad experiences that you've went through, you can say that one was worse,
but if two different people each say a bad experience, no one can definitively say one was worse.
i've went off on a tangent, sorry.
but my point stands:
DON'T ONE-UP ME, IN ANY SITUATION
