So let's get this straight.

In TLT, Percy is 12, and Luke is 19.

By the final book, Percy is 16, and Luke is 23 or 24

A 1 to 3 year age gap is acceptable, I think. If teens are dating, there HAS to be a certain age gap where they can and can't date. Correct me on this if I'm wrong.

I DO know is that a 12 YO shouldn't be shipped with a 19 YO, so why TF is Puke (Percy x Luke) so dam popular?

Some people may try to excuse it with "Well, Luke and Annabeth liked each other, and they had the same age gap-"

Ma'am, Sir, or Sa'am, that makes Luke a pedo, and kind of a groomer. Just because it's canon they both had feelings for each other 1. is a reason why he is still such a villain, remember how he kept trying to get Annabeth to join him and use their old good times to try and convince her? And 2. still doesn't make it okay. Me and others have had discussions of how Annabeth may not be all that mentally well, and Luke is DEFINETLY a part of why. Not the main reason, but a big part. And it left a lasting affect on her.

And I can't even avoid these. I try to look for maybe a Valdangelo tag (Hellbent, an AU where Reyna and Nico are part of the 7 and he and Leo fall into Tartarus was just YAS. I will suggest that book always. That one thankfully has no Puke) or even just a PJO memes book, and 4 or 5 of the results I see are or have Puke.

Like, if it's a situation where Luke was young Percy's gay/bi/pan awakening, but Luke feels nothing back, okay. That's fine.
I mean, kids IRL fall for someone far older than them sometimes. How many 6 year olds crushed on Johnny Depp? I was 11 when I was crushing on Marshall Lee, a technically 18 year old (technically because he was over 1000).

And none of this is used as something bad, like Percy was also groomed by Luke and is learning to try and get better or something. It's always lovey-dovey and shone with rose lights.

I like this fandam, but there's some part of it that are just...ugh.
