okay so I'm doing some research for a story in writing, featuring a main character who is autistic, and as I'm doing research, mostly about how they act and what they like and don't like (mostly through tumblr and two friends of mine) and in realizing, Ty from The Dark Artifices is probably autistic.

• he likes things a very certain way
• room organized in a way he's memorized
• likes structure
• when it's interrupted, he's nervous
• (possibly not true) uncomfortable around anyone but his family
• has a bunch of things he likes to play with to keep him focused
• needs to have sarcasm and jokes and metaphors explained to him

So let's go over what else awesome amazing things she's done

1. Gay everywhere. Seriously though, she is very much normalizing gay marriage in her books
2. Our beautiful, amazing, fabulous freewheeling bisexual Asian make-up wearing man
3. (This is in the show I'm not sure it's in the books) Raphael is ace and it's portrayed AMAZINGLY

I know that's only three but it's still huge.
