Mairin's POV:
I ran as fast as I could. The park bullies were chasing me, faster than ever.

"STOP FOLLOWING ME!!!!" I yelled, crying. "NO! NOT UNTIL YOU GIVE US YOUR CHESPIN DOLL!!!" One of the bullies, Ash said.

"NEVER!!" I yelled and tightened my grip on my doll.

I'm Mairin. As you can see, I'm running away from the park bullies. Ash, Gary, and Paul. I'm at the park everyday because my babysitter always takes me here, even if I don't want to come. My parents are always away. I live in a penthouse a block away from here.

I guess I wasn't looking where I was going because I tripped over a balance beam and scraped my knee, it bled badly. I cried even harder.

"GOTCHA NOW!!!!" Gary yelled and the 3 boys were coming closer..and closer...

All I could do was watch. I looked at my bleeding leg and cried–until.

"STOP IT!!" I saw a boy stand in front of me. He looked older, but not much.

He was tall, had grey pants, black tee shirt, and brown shoes, his hair was black and messy.

Ash, Paul, and Gary stopped. They looked very frightened.

"STOP CHASING HER! AND IF I SEE YOU AGAIN, YOU'RE GONNA GET IT!!" He said and held out his fist.

The boys got scared and ran off. Then, he turned to me.

"You alright?" He asked and held out his hand. He was so cute.... "Y-Y-es" I said and grabbed his hand.

He pulled me into a hug.

I felt my face warm up. I have no idea what that meant.

"Why were they chasing you?" The boy asked. I held out my doll "they wanted this" I replied. "Why?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"What's your name, anyway?" I asked. "I'm Alain" he said. "Cool, I'm Mairin!" I answered.

"Alain! Time to go home!!" A voice yelled. "Oh! Gotta go!" Alain said and ran off.

"Ok.....bye"
