Nostalgia
Ok, so I literally just made a chapter on two videos about Mauritius. I'm watching the second one (still getting triggered by pronunciation) and they mentioned families of different generations on the beach, partying, having fun
I just felt this wave of nostalgia hit me.
In Mauritius, a lot of parties are by the beach, it's true. Something about them feels warm. I'm trying so hard to grasp the feeling before it vanishes. I'm basing this off my family experiences at the beach parties. The kids would play with the kids. Ages 3-17 just playing together, running to the water and back again. The grandparents sitting in the shade with chairs, chatting. The adults doing karaoke without mics and without actual music, drinking close to being drunk. They did get drunk a lot of the time actually. We depended on each other a lot, I'll say that. We all trusted each other.
I just remembered that, and just missed Mauritius a little. We have no family in England. We can't go to beach parties, and feel cozy with people of the similar blood. I kind of miss it
