Ok so, while I was RPing with ma bud Maxie, I got the idea to ship this. What does this mean? It means that Cactus will forever stay the size she currently is in the RP. About the size of a cat, just with a longer head, tail, and neck. Yeah. Also, Kolo is Austrailia's pet koala. On with this random, random oneshot.

Kolo's POV
I was riding around on Joel's shoulder, eatin a eucalyptus leaf, when lo and behold, a wild Kalos appeared! Ok, that was a terrible pun. Most people, and animals, are afraid of me, because of well, the way I look. Tati thinks I'm adorable, and Cactus, well, that's hard to describe. She's a lot like her owner, energetic, at least, she usually is, today she was slouched over her spot on Tatiana's shoulder, not hyperactive like she usually is. Strange, I wonder what's bothering her? That's when I saw the beach bag Tati was holding, along with the snorkel and goggles in it. Maybe Cactus is gloomy today because she doesn't like getting wet? "Hey Kolo." The SandWing said without her usual pep. "Hn." Was all I responded. Look, Don't get me wrong here, I actually like Cactus, but, she's just, I don't know, she's just, different. The reason I tended to avoid talking to her is because well, I don't know how to hold a conversation with a dragon, much less a female one, wait, what am I thinking!? She's not even a Mammal, much less a Marsupial! I can't think of her like that! But the thing is, I just can't help but think of the lizard as pretty. And I guess her outspoken personality is endearing, well, it is to me at least.
-timeskip to where they are at the beach-
Tati and Joel were snorkeling in the reef, while I was hunting for a snack. I sniffed out the Eucalyptus leaves that Joel always kept around and ate some of them, that when the reflection of the sunlight off of Cactus's pale golden scales caught my eye. The sunlight glinted and shimmered off of her golden swirls, and a wisp of pale smoke curled from her nose, she looked over at me with those dark golden eyes, scowling. "What do you want?" She said, moodily poking one claw into the sand. "What's up with your mood? Normally you're bouncing all over the place." Her scowl deepened. "What's it to you?" She said, turning away. I walked over and sat next to her, feeling the heat radiating off her scales. "It's just, a little concerning." I said awkwardly. "You're concerned about me? Ha. Good one. Why don't you just go back to ignoring me like you always do Kolo?" She said, smoke curling out her nose. I can't blame her for being so hostile, I guess I do come off as a jerk. "The only reason I ignore you in the first place is because I don't know how to talk to you!" I said, getting frustrated. Her expression changed immediately. I could detect surprise, shock and a mix of other emotions I couldn't define in it. "R-really?" She said, almost timidly. "Yeah. Honestly." Now it was awkward again. Not that I never didn't feel awkward around her. She lay down and watched the setting sun. Tati and Joel had gone back to a tent they set up on the beach earlier. I felt the wind blow around us, I wasn't bothered though, I had my fur. I heard a small sound, her scales rustling together and a small clicking noise. "Are you cold Cactus?" I received a small nod in response. Sighing I lay down next to her, pressed up against her side, she cautiously put her wing overtop of me, sorta like a blanket. After a while, we fell asleep that way.
